I had my eye on this dog for a little over a month. I was a little depressed after loosing my previous dog and felt lethargic not having a morning routine and companion to take care of after years of waking up early to do so. I finally decided I wanted another dog and saw Hadley, formerly known as Daisy. My only concern was that she got along with small children. Terri was friendly and didn’t want me to come out until they knew as it is a 3 hour drive from Denver to the shelter for me. She seemed to do well so I took my mother and niece for the final test and while we were there my niece kept petting her and saying “I like her” I knew then that she was coming home with me. Now I have a running buddy again. She’s very loving and a little protective which is a plus to me. It is a hit or miss with other dogs, but her trainer and our doggie daycare have been working to make her better at this. I hope to get her comfortable enough to where we can join group agility classes but we are just taking it one day at a time. Terri has been wonderful with her follow up to make sure she was a good fit by sending emails to see how she was doing. They even gave me a blanket that she still uses and a rubber ducky that she can’t seem to get enough of. They even offered a collar and a leash to make sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell she cares about the animals and wants to make sure they have loving forever homes. I truly think she is a wonderful addition to the family. I will be happy for her companionship in the years to come.

We drove from Nebraska to get our precious dog Tucker James(6yrs aka Chunky Monkey). Teri & the other staff were wonderful. They were so great to work with, open about Tuckers history and how he was at the shelter. He’s adjusting well, as with most animals that were in his situation he has his quirks but we work with him he’s doing great. We love Tucker James!

Wagging’ Tails Shelter is absolutely wonderful. I drove down from Cheyenne to adopt a kitten. Terri was very friendly and was willing to put the kitten on hold until I could meet him. Which not a lot of shelters will do. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Honestly, the best shelter I have adopted from. If I am ever in search of another pet to adopt I will go here first.

Frankly, this was the best adoption experience we ever had. We found two wonderful girls (female cats) and could have picked even more. I can't say enough about this shelter. They not only love their animals but work to find great homes for them too. Well worth the drive from Cheyenne to find some awesome pets.

So many cats and dogs in the community without homes. The people who work here are friendly and caring and work hard to keep the animals well cared for and help them find homes

We have adopted three dogs that came from this shelter and the volunteers and staff have caring hearts and do their best to look out for the best interest for the animals that land in their care. I've also worked with the volunteers/staff to transfer dogs from their shelter to the rescue I foster for in Cheyenne. Give the dogs there a chance, save a life! If you can't adopt reach out and see if they need any supplies, volunteers or donations I can assure you they will be put to good use.

We recently lost our Chocolate Lab, Wilson, after 15 years as part of our family. We became aware of a female Chocolate Lab at Waggin' Tails that needed a home.Teri and Tracy went above and beyond to help us adopt this little girl. They made sure she would be a good fit for us, even having us introduce her to our other dog before we brought her home. They made sure we had all her information, health records and took time to answer our questions.Waggin' Tails is clean, very organized and the animals are obviously well taken care of. It is a very well run shelter.Thank you all for a wonderful adoption experience!

Was very grateful these nice ladies were able to help with a newborn kitten that was abandoned and wasn’t able to care for…brought the poor thing in and they jumped right in giving it electrolytes and evaluating what it needed even said I could check on it later…they also had a really neat outdoor doggie run area…will definitely be making a donation! 😻

We went in and filled out the application to adopt, they called my work, my vet and my parents even checked my fence to make sure the hight was right. We found a dog we wanted and made it clear and never once did they call us so we went in to ask about him and they said he had others looking at him and we said ok and understood so we went to look at another dog and we never even got to adopt from here they gave us a huge run around it was stupid. We were told we had to fill another application out.

Waggin Tales is a great shelter. Everyone who works there love the animals and take excellent care of them. I would recommend that if you are looking to adopt from a shelter, go to Waggin Tales Animal Shelter.
