NOT WORTH IT!!!!The view is great. You seat yourself.One guy working the bar, taking orders, and delivering food. He did his best. But 2 of our meals were wrong. People were cleaning their own tables. He was too busy to make milkshakes. It was just painful to watch.The kitchen didn't do much better. How do you mess up a well done burger? The ceasar dressing was THICK and may have been spoiled. Just a huge disappointment. 3 adult meals and 1 kids meal with 2 cans of beer was $120. And let's not forget a mandatory tip.

Better food at close by locations. But what makes me give this place 1 star is that the menu item descriptions do not match the actual menu item… leading one to believe what they are ordering is something else. For example the Buffalo Sirloin and Eggs with lettuce tomato and bacon is in fact a ground bison with bacon, no lettuce, no tomato. I have very little respect for misrepresentation of something as simple as a menu description. The server did give us a free water bottle. Which pushed my review to a 3 star due to friendly service. And although the menu item was misrepresented, the food wasn’t bad… kind of a shame could have gone much higher.

We were searching for a good food place in this remote area after crossing Yellowstone, and this popped out. At first we didn't think it would be good (and also the price was a bit high from the menu), but the chef was good and the cashier was very friendly as well. The food tasted really good. Serving time was a bit high, and my order got delayed somehow. But would definitely try again!

Drove out of my way because a friend told me he'd had a great burger here and didn't read the reviews (silly me!)... Well the buffalo burger was very good! But the service was lousy, on top of the fact that you have to pay up front ("we can't keep track of open tabs") and the mandatory 20% gratuity. I about tipped an additional 20% when I noticed it was already added because the total seemed high. Guess the gal knew she didn't have to actually work for that tip... I was the only one in there and she couldn't bring some silverware with her as she passed it when she brought my plate ("silverware and condiments are at the bar") and never came back to check on me to see if everything was ok. Made me feel like a total inconvenience in her day. Lucky me though, they didn't charge me for the tap water! Would not recommend and don't plan to return. I really give it 1 for service but 5 to the chef.

We stopped tonight on our way back to our resort. Best food decision we've made here yet. The food was prepared extremely well and super fast. We ordered three burgers with fries and were eating in 10 minutes. And they were pretty busy!There was only one server tonight and he was taking orders, bussing tables, running food, and making milkshakes. If you go, definitely get a Huckleberry shake, they're amazing!Prices were actually more reasonable than most other places nearby. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Very possibly the worst food I’ve ever had. The bread was burned, the hamburger was raw, the french fries were soaked in grease and undercooked, the sodas were low on syrup, they were flies all around the table, they were out of the first several things that I tried to order off the menu, and the help was questionably friendly and efficient at best. You have to pay and leave a tip before your meal is delivered. Unfortunate because if we’d paid after, we wouldn’t have paid for the meals or left a tip. Do yourself a favor and get food literally anywhere else. I would have given 0 stars if it had been a choice.

You’re better off driving into town especially if you have a pet with you. I brought my dog as I was told dogs were welcomed both inside and outside as “we love animals here.” That was not the case. The staff were incredibly rude. I was told to order inside and when asked if I could come in with my dog to place the order they said no and walked away. It had just stopped raining and the tables outside were wet. They were out of rags to wipe down the seat. Another customer actually went in and grabbed a menu and paper towels for me. I tried calling to place an order so I could remain outside. I was told that was not possible, to leave my dog outside, and then they hung up on me. Thankfully some strangers I met outside were nicer and more helpful than the staff here and watched my dog while I went inside to place my order. They were out of multiple menu items. A 20% gratuity was automatically added on top of overpriced food and horrible service. Food was fine. Unimpressed. Also apparently they charge an additional $5 for take out orders.

WHOLE EXPERIENCE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Gave 3 stars ONLY because the one dude working the entire floor was tired and soaked in sweat from working BY HIMSELF. We went on a 3700 mile road trip and this night will live in infamy among our traveling group during all of our upcoming trips. To sum it up: We seated ourselves and had to go to the counter to order. We're avid hikers so that wasn't a problem, until our receipt confirmed that we had to pay a 20% tip AUTOMATICALLY charged to our bill, which knocked it up to nearly $75 for 3 burgers. Drinks are ONLY available in souvenir cups (which are worth about 25¢ and look it) same for the water- was only available in plastic refillable bottles. Burgers were OK at best (I'm a Texas boy so I could out grill them in my sleep). They were out of half the menu, and the entire thing was sorely overpriced. Basic menu, basic ingredients, painfully basic nicknames for their menu items, such as "Grizzly cheese burger"... And so on. I recommend that you avoid MORAN, WY entirely if you plan on visiting Yellowstone. Sorry for the good folks over there, but they've got some issues to resolve if they plan on tourism being their livelihood.

The employees were great especially the guy behind the bar. He was basically running the entire restaurant and had very little help. The staff and food are great, the restaurant just needs additional help or a manager. We ordered 2 burgers and they were great. It is a small restaurant and we did not modify our meals and got everything efficiently and it came out perfect.

This cafe is dirty,Outside smells like sewage and inside smells like they have never changed the oil.We were ignored for 15 minutes and when we went to the bar to order a drink Necco was very unwelcoming, Can’t blame him, Must be an awful place to work.Lovely dead fly ornaments hanging from every window, Gross.Every surface of the room was filthy, we lost our appetite and left.

Wish I read the reviews before we came here. Most expensive breakfast we’ve had, even compared to the places in Jackson Hole. They add 20% gratuity to the bill which is fine except they don't tell you or give you a receipt so you don’t know, so we tipped another 20%. Waitress isn’t very friendly and you don’t get served. Attacked by flies the whole time.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options, besides toast and potatoes

Ate at the Buffalo Valley Cafe for lunch. We used to live next door to it for twenty-five years and it was a great place for locals in Buffalo Valley to meet. Boy, has it gone down hill. Three sandwiches for $65 and then $9 for 3 glasses of plain water - never been charged for water before. Fries were cold and sandwiches mediocre- nothing to write home about. Sat in their enclosed porch with flies galore, dirty baseboard heaters and windows. No more table service - order everything at the counter. When the food came, we asked for silverware & napkins and was simply told that everything was inside. To add insult to injury, when we paid they had added an automatic 20% gratuity for non-existent “service”! No where’s was it stated on the menu or otherwise about this mandatory charge. Sadly, after 25 years of patronage, never again.

I wish I could give zero stars. First restaurant where I was refused a free glass of water. To get water, you have to buy one of their reusable bottles. First time I’ve been automatically charged a gratuity for a party of two. Two burgers and two beers cost us $65.Run, dont walk away from this place!

The restaurant was dramaticaly overprized. We paid for a small bottle of beer 10 $!The staff of the restaurant was absolutely unable with the time management for food. First they told us we have to come back in one hour (without reservation) after this hour they told us again to wait one more hour!We were lucky that we had our own food with us, so we didn't used the restaurant. Our tipp: bring your own food and spend the money for another restaurant and be happy!

My family and I went for dinner. You go to the bar to order, we ordered tater tots, everyone got fries, after 15 minutes, my 5 year old grand daughter and myself had not received our meals but everyone else had, told the young man that we were missing two meals. He came back after a few minutes and said her meal actually came out on my other grand daughters plate, like that was a good explanation, he said my chicken strips would be out soon. After 15 more minutes I went back up and told him to forget my meal because my family was done eating and I didn't want it, I wanted my money back for my meal, he brought my food out and said I refused the meal, he stated it was only 10 to 12 minutes late. He thought that was acceptable. I told him it was unacceptable and I walked out because at that point I was ready to assault and battery someone. My husband spoke to the manager and told him our minimum tip at any restaurant is 20 % and we would not have given that since you order at the counter, take your own drinks, utensils etc. to your table, exactly what "service other than lip" did they provide. Will never recommend to anyone.

You come for the view. The mind blowing valley view. You don’t go here for the food, but you can eat. They’ve been understaffed and overworked for decades. For many years they only sold a plain burger and fries and that was it. Maybe 4 tables. They would forget your soda unless you really asked nice, loudly, maybe 3 times.Kinda authentically local, you might say, though prices used to be better…If you come during the week in the early evening, if it’s not rodeo day down in Jackson, the horses are round up and they run right past you down the road, while you eat your meal. Lotsa fun if you know what to expect ahead of time.

Very overpriced breakfast with a terrible waitress/server. The supposedly hot coffee was a warm/cold coffee. The only waitress/server who has an Austrian accent (she worked on 6/23/23 around 8:30am) had showed her terrible, condescending, impolite attitude towards tourists/customers. She pretended that she didn’t understand an Asian speaker while other nearby American customers all understood what the Asian customer said. Unbelievable attitudes. Also, this place charged you $5 extra for each take out order.

Visited in September of 2022. We went there for the huckleberry milk shake (very small portion for the money), but decided to get lunch. The food was decent, but the service was way below average, especially since they include a 20% gratuity on the bill and only mention it in very fine print at the bottom of the menu. We will not be going back.

no one acknowledges my existence for 30 mins, so I order at the bar where I'm told there will be a 60 to 90 minute wait. Oh, and I have to PRE-PAY for my meal which includes 20% "auto-gratuity". No one is in any rush, no gives two sh-ts if Im unhappy or not and their attitudes show it plainly. NONE of this was mentioned before a made a non-refundable reservation. In 40+ years I don't think I have EVER been ripped off this bad.

Humans can live without food for 3 days, just starve instead of eating at this place. They said; they only got 1 chef working but theres actually 2 chef microwave! Paying $3 for water is absolutely ridiculous. I rather eat dirt than dine in there again.2 burgers 1 beer 1 juice for $60. Im just happy they did not charge for oxygen, o nvm the 20% gratuity thats oxygen charges. I did tip separately so yep 20% for breathing the fine air. The staff is good, the management idk!
