A while back me and my wife were on vacation on our honeymoon and stopped in at this fine establishment to have some drinks and appetizers and take in the beautiful views! We enjoyed some cold Coronas ,white wine, and some very fine appetizers.I highly recommend and we thoroughly enjoyed the deviled eggs and the crab cakes served with avocado, coleslaw and garlic chipotle mayo. We would definitely like to come back sometime for dinnerSo if you're looking for some beautiful atmosphere, great drinks and superb appetizers with an awesome staff go check out Pier 290!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I rarely write bad reviews, but I have to on this one. The place was nice, hostess was friendly and kind even though we were running late. The food tasted good. Our waiter ruined the whole evening. He just didn't get it and didn't seem to care at all. We ordered an app and soup as well as our entrees at the same time. He brought them all together even though we specifically asked for an app and soup first. You could call that an honest mistake, but he argued with my wife that the app was an entree. Her steak was overcooked and no sauce, again it happens. He left and only to come back some time later as if someone had to tell him to apologize and offer to replace the steak. To make up for it he offered desert, which he said was already free because it was her birthday! Nice enough place, but I can't see ever going there again after this experience.

We got there early enough on a Sunday to get a table on the patio with a good view. But I would really suggest reservations! It got super busy. There is complementary valet but the guys were busy sitting in their chairs. And when we stopped 3 guys were still on their phones. We then went on to self park only having parked to finally have gotten the valets attention to be told we had to move our car. Sorry… not cool.Food was good. The crab cakes and potato pancakes were more on the burnt side which you can see from our photos. But the soup, corned beef hash and the almond cake at the end were great!Views were so nice! It was so pleasant! Our server was great! She was so attentive and helpful!! Maybe she should teach the valet a couple things!!Also had a cute shop on site and picked up a couple things. Short of the valet…. Everything was great!

We ate on Sunday and should have made a reservation but were able to be seated at a booth still overlooking water.Parking is complimentary valet but plan cash for tip. We decided to park up around the corner in the self parking lot. We easily found a spot at 4:40ish.We ordered two house salads. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. We also enjoyed the smoked onion dip and chips topping it off with the Cookies and Cream desert!Service was excellent. They stayed on top of our water glasses and were very friendly and attentive.Great gift shop on premises.

The place gets extra stars because of the lake view, which is amazing. However, service took forever to come and take our order (I am talking almost 10 minutes), and despite we weren’t in a rush, it doesn’t feel right. Food is pretty decent and tasty, but the price you pay is too much for the quality you get. It might be the best option for seafood around, but I hope they improve!

So going to say it straight out of the gate...going to be a little harder here, not necessarily because of the prices, but because of what we got for the prices. And, yes, I'm aware we're in a touristy area. I agree with a lot of the other reviews here, over priced for what it is, 26 bucks for crab cakes, and almost 40 for a lobster roll. I'm pretty sure Lake Geneva doesn't have fresh blue crab or lobster. Now that I have that out of the way...the food was good, but just that, nothing making it extraordinary. We had the spinach and artichoke dip, which honestly was the best part of the meal...and save the chips, they should consider solely using the bread. I had the crab cakes as an entrée, and I admit, they were tasty. My wife had the fish tacos. The cucumber salad/slaw was over powering and took away from every other taste. The view was great though, between it and Halley providing good service, almost makes up for the mark up.

Went with a group from work. It was a Friday night, we sat on the covered patio area. It was rather noisy, which made conversation hard. The lake view was gorgeous though. The food was really good, my lobster Mac n cheese had lots of lobster in it, and was the perfect temperature. Our server wasn't the friendliest, and when we asked for separate bills(group of 6), she got a little huffy. She just put it all on one bill, without asking first. Highly enjoyed the food, will definitely be back, hopefully to sit outside.

Cute little bistro on the shores of Lake Geneva. Our waitress Hailey was prompt, professional, and had a good understanding of the menu. She explained the Friday fish fry special, which was one of the items we ended up ordering. In addition to the fish fry, we also got the fish tacos and the double stack burger. All of the food was really good. The pricing here was a little on the high end, but the food was good, our server Hailey was awesome, and the views are really great.

Our first time visiting and on a cool, overcast, and off season day, but we were still able to sit on the heated outdoor patio and take in the lake view. The staff was extremely pleasant, the food was pretty good, and the drinks were belly warming! Id love to come back and experience this place in the height of summer season, I'm betting it's a real hoot!Parking: Parking is a bit strange here honestly. We arrive off season and could park pretty much out front of the pier side entrance, but there are only like 2 spots out there generally and we just got lucky. When we asked the wait staff we were told that in season there is a shuttle service that transfers diners back and forth between a remote parking lot and the restaurant. They also offer valet. I'm sure it works for them, but how much traffic do I miss by not having readily available parking for the uninformed passer-by?Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance and some seating was easily accessible, but there were raised platform areas and unique urinal configurations in the men's bathroom that might made it challenging.

We had Lunch/Brunch here...we've been here a few times before. The atmosphere and view of the Lake are very nice. We ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer. It was very good! Drinks were also good. Our waitress was Wonderful! However, our entrees were extremely salty. We had Eggs Benedict and a Blackened Tuna Sandwich. The hash browns with the eggs Benedict were burnt. Both entrees were so salty that neither of us could finish the meal. Correct this problem and it would be a worthwhile destination.

I have been a regular customer for 15 years. My husband and I love everything about this restaurant's atmosphere, food and service. I grew up in VA eating crab cakes, and I look forward to the gluten free crab cakes at Peri 290. We had the new recipe on Saturday, and I have to let upper management know mustard is not a good compliment to crab, and the aioli which used to be served was 100 times better and much more complimentary. Please bring back the former dish! Thank you, Holly

Good food and great service! Love the dedication that the servers have! We got the watermelon salad and the impossible burger which were very good! The impossible burger didn't come with a bun and so if you order that and want a bun, just be sure to ask for one.Vegetarian options: Salads and Impossible burger

4.5* (out of 5)Food: 5* Atmosphere: 5* Value: 3* Service: 5*07/31/2022Our friends set us up for dinner here one day during our visit and what a great place! For starters, we ordered the Ceviche with chips (see picture) - and it was oh, so delicious! For our meal, I ordered Atlantic Salmon (see picture) and my wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass (see picture). As per the usual, we both shared with each other and both of us absolutely loved both dishes. The fish was cooked to perfection, the couscous quinoa was light and clean and the flavors were fantastic! If you follow my posts, you also know that I love ending the meal with dessert, so we couldn't pass up sharing the Cobler of the Week (see picture) with the group at our table. Warm, crumbly cobbler and cold creamy ice cream - what a way to finish a fantastic meal! While it is admittedly pricey, the view of the lake, atmosphere and service are fantastic! Not something most of us can afford on a regular basis, but highly recommended to try on your next special occasion. If you found this review helpful, please show your appreciation with a Like or a Follow.

We got tickets to the Bourbon Dinner with Chef Michael Lavin and were so happy we were able to take part! The event itself was a little unorganized, as I would have liked to receive better insight on what to expect upon arrival and be greeted with information at the entrance. The meal, however, was AMAZING! If you see any future event pop up, it’ll be worth the money. Definitely go!

Server couldn’t have been nicer, he was quite good. Nice atmosphere and hard to top the location. The food couldn’t have been more unimpressive. Several dishes like the beef stroganoff came out lukewarm, and the chicken we ordered felt like soup. For what they’re charging for entrees, I would expect their standard to be much higher than what they served on a busy Saturday night.Nice place for drinks on a sunny day, but there’s some changes needed before I’d give it another chance for dinner.Kid-friendliness: Certainly kid friendly

One of my favorite places in Lake Geneva. Right on the lake with dining inside and out. Fine dining at that. Real good food. Great atmosphere. Live music at times. A little pricy, but worth it.Most of my time spent here has been as a stop on the Fat Tire ride around the lake in September, but I’ve been here other times, as well. In fall and summer, mostly. They enclose their outdoor patio when the weather gets colder and it’s a great place to watch football games or other sports. Real nice place to visit when going to Lake Geneva. Highly recommend! Enjoy!
