We recently had our old pup euthanized; we choose Gentle Healers by referral. They were so good to us; I can't express my gratitude to this group of individuals enough. They were so helpful with talking over everything before making any decisions. The Staff is so helpful and very knowledgeable in regard to any questions you may have. I will continue to reach out to Gentle Healers should I need help with our pets.Thank you so much for the sympathy card and paw print of Zeus. that was so sweet to see and a nice surprise. The kids loved it.

We have been bringing our Siberian huskies to Doctor Dan at Gentle Healer for many years and couldn’t be happier with his care for our fur babies! He has seen our last two huskies through some major health issues and helped them cross the rainbow bridge with such sensitivity and gentleness. Our latest husky, Ruby, is also under his care. From puppy shots, to her spaying, and all her regular check-ups, he has such a caring way about him, and takes his time with us and her. Thank you, Doctor Dan, and Gentle Healer staff!! We really appreciate you!

Our dog Clay needed surgery on his leg last summer. Dr Dan did an excellent job explaining the procedure & what to except for his recovery. The staff did a great job keeping me updated the day of surgery. Dr Dan & his tech answered all my questions before & after surgery. They were so kind & gentle with our dog (He has was a rescue & has anxiety & is usually terrified as soon as we walk into any building with double doors. He does much better when people take their time & move slowly with him. Clay actually even wagged his tail a little bit when we went in for our post-op recheck!) We are so grateful for all their help getting Clay back on his feet. He’s just as happy & playful as before his injury!

I feel he went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule, and helped us make decisions for our pet. I brought my cat, Ozymandias, in due to sneezing and nasal dishcharge. Dr. Nathan was so so so caring about my cat's wellbeing during his exam. My cat was stressed and fighting us whenever he tried to examine his face. Even when he brought in a vet tech (Drea, who is also awesome and who all vet techs should strive to be) to help hold him, the moment Dr. Nathan saw my cat panting, he stopped and had her let him go. I was touched by how much he cared about Ozzy's stress levels. (Obviously we then scheduled an appointment for a sedated exam lol) He was able to swab his nose for culture and give him an antibiotic shot though. And Drea and another vet tech were able to clip his nails with agility I've only ever seen in MMA. If you have any doubts about bringing your cat here, don't. Dr. Nathan was kind to both me and my cat and was patient with me and my millions of questions. I'd give more stars if I could. Cat tax included, along with a pic of Ozzy exploring the exam room.

I have dealt with many veterinarians over the years, some great n some not so much.They are hard to find, we found Dr. Dan quite awhile ago for our 2 border collie/mix dogs.Our dogs loved him n were so comfortable around him it was amazing. He explains things, asks questions n never rushes you out the door- well worth it!!

Gentle Healer in Watertown, Dr's Dan and Nathan are wonderful. They treat my pets, and my families and friends pets with the utmost caring demeanor, treating them like their own. The vet techs are knowledgeable and again, treat your pets like their own. I would highly recommend their team.

So very happy with Gentle Healer Pet Clinic with the little but not so little emergency we had with our fur baby. They got us in at short notice, addressed the situation and got things under control for the most part. Went back in the next day to make sure the results that they were looking for was exactly that and if not the back to surgery number 2. Over all after the scare we got they called us the next day to check up on our fur baby and got us in that afternoon to physically check to make sure things were going as they planed. The relief we got from the call in the morning to the checkup that afternoon took a big stress relief off of us all. We were so extremely happy. With the service and care that they showed us during this has made a world of difference for us and I am Very Happy to say that we HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC FOR YOUR FAMILY FUR BABIES. We will definitely be coming back and Dr. Dan is Super Great, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being the wonderful Doctor you are. Dr. Dan Borsdorf is an incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate doctor. He explains what's going on and what needs to be done in layman's terms that are gentle, without being overly complex.I am greatfull for the way he helped me through one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

My dog had cancer and she was misdiagnosed for several monthsWe took her to the university hospital in MadisonThey recommended an MRI of the spineThey discovered a skin condition calcinosis cutis and shaved her for a biopsy without consulting with us !This created non healing wounds!!!Three weeks before we put her to sleep she sufferedDr. Dan was the only caring doctor who never said “ nothing can be done “He took care of Mia with passion. Tried different antibiotics. Called to find out how she was and provided comfort to the whole familyThe staff was calm, and caring and professionalDr. Dan is a true caring, professional doctor who does his job with passion and loves his patientsHe did not know Mia because he was not our regular veterinarian but the only one who was willing to see her and help her in suffering

I've taken all my dogs to Gentle Healer. Very knowledgeable and friendly. In 2011, Dr. Harmon went above and beyond for my dog Molly. Truly outstanding compassion and service. Highly recommend. Dr. Dan is wonderful with my senior dog and Julie is so helpful.

Sat there for three hours, while my dog had a high fever. They didn’t give her any medication and couldn’t even tell me what was wrong with her they guessed and told me to go to another vet! Worst experience ever

Dr Scott and Dr Dan have been great. Communication from the front desk not so much. When you have fecal sample test results that sit for days without any communication its a little frustrating.I was told 24 turn around as we were 4 days into our dog having diarrhea. I called the next day and was told the results were in but I would have to wait another day until her regular vet was working. I told her I needed to know now as she was still sick. Someone called back a few hours later and said the tests were negative. Then today we recieved a call to inform us the tests were in and all negative. I have a feeling we would have waited the full 3 days to hear back had I not called.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE. IT'S WHERE YOU GO TO GET MISDIAGNOSED, GIVEN USELESS HIGH PRICED MEDICATION THAT DOESN'T WORK BECAUSE IT'S NOT THE CURE YOUR PET NEEDS. IT'S WHERE YOUR PETS GO TO DIE. THEN THEY TELL YOU THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT TO GET A PROPER DIAGNOSIS ALL WHILE CHARGING YOU AT LEAST $700. DOLLARS

We were in the area visiting family for Thanksgiving and noticed something was wrong with our dog. We took her in on Friday and the vet told us she needed to go to a different facility in Madison for emergency surgery that day which would have been thousands of dollars. We told the clinic that wasn't an option, and they were able to move things around and get her on the schedule for Monday at a fraction of the cost. I'm very thankful for the doctors and staff that helped our dog, even though we aren't clients of theirs.

It was my first time here and I am absolutely going to be taking my boys here. They were all super nice and sooo helpful. They really discuss a plan of action with you and all your options as well as making up an estimate that was accurate. The vet did an amazing job of explaining everything going on and showered my dog with compliments the whole time as well. I was really impressed and feel they would definitely be a very helpful vet clinic if you wanted a selection of treatment plans as well as offering advice to split up the cost of things as well too. Capone left the vet with his tail wagging and his mom very happy, which was a pleasant change from the last clinic we went to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you're looking for a new vet.

We have brought all of our pets here over the years, started coming here while they were still practicing by Hardee's. Started bringing our rescue dog to their clinic after having problems with the vet the humane society was taking him to. We started to bring him to Gentle healer, our pup loved it there We were so happy to find him a great vet to go to, even though we were warned about other customers unhappy with them, over the years after we started bringing our pup there we started having some rough times with them, they could not get him to take a shot, we had to bring him back, he weighs less than 20 pounds, what do you do with bigger dogs? Finicky or since he is a rescue. Ok I get it. We had a appointment to pick up a med for him, we came at the appropriate time called they would run it out. We called nobody came out. We called again it. Other customers came and went here we were still waiting. My kids are waiting at school. We brought our pup in for a appointment the email said we were only going to be charged for a visit, we were charged nine times more, and forced to pay it right away, we were not offered a payment plan it had to be paid now. After all of this I had enough, I called told them I will be calling around until I find something that I can do to get them in trouble via Tmj 4 or BBB. All they offered to do to help anything was we could not do the blood work, we did not want to put him through this again. If they would have offered a payment plan to begin with we would of been fine. They are good. After sitting on hold for fifteen minutes to talk to the doctor I hung up. They called later and the doctor gave us the boot. Since I threatened them. Taking money from my family. If we knew our bill was going to be that much we would have scheduled it for a time when we had the money. Them telling my wife they are charging just enough to keep the lights on is such a cop-out, along with I have thousands of dollars in school debt to pay off. You telling us the wrong amount for the appointment that is your fault not ours, that is poor customer service.

They used to be really good. But recently went corporate. Unfortunately, because of this, they no longer care for their customers and patients they way they should. I will be taking my pets to a non corporate vet once more. Even if I have to travel farther to get the caring quality care they need.
