We tented it for our annual family camp out this year. This was a new resort for us to try. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There are fun activities for the kids. The play ground is better than most, had different kinds of equipment and our kids practically lived there the whole weekend. They also enjoyed the "bubble party" which is something we've never heard of before and rented pedal cars. We rented tubes to float down the river and appreciated their organization in arranging it. My only wish was that they had a pool because while they do have a beach, the river was not the safest for the kids. All in all, a fun time.

This place is great. You can camp here and do a nice long river floating trip or kayaking trip, whatever you're into. They shuttle you to the landing and you float back down right to the campground. They have staff there waiting for you when you get back, they help you out of the water and take care of your rentals for you. Nice friendly staff. Tim is I believe one of the owners and I don't think this guy sleeps, he's always helping people from dawn till dusk. He even got us a bag of ice one evening many hours after the camp store was closed! Very dog friendly here to but must be on a leash. If your dog loves to swim I recommend leaving the property and walking to the bridge (about a 5 minute walk). Over all a great place to camp and have a floating trip. They also have huge inflatable water slides etc for the kids. Nice camp store too, but not a huge selection of food in there, mostly snacks and nice merch.

Took kids and family on a vacation here, spent 3 days of great fun there. Absolutely pet friendly, even in the cabins. The owner was wonderful and super attentive to all the guests. We stayed in a tent and our lot was right across from the playground which was a huge plus with the kids. The owner even ran the bubble party for all the kids(parents had a blast too). Took our dog tubing with us, went fishing, played at the inflatable park, the whole trip was wonderful and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

My family and I went there for the 4th of July and it was amazing! The river is sandy and shallow (2-4ft deep) at the beach. Love how you are able to do a 10-minute walk to a bridge and launch from there and float back to the campground. My 2 little kids loved the playground and the little water park. They loved the foam party and had a blast on the train ride. My 15 year old was happy there is WI-FI. The owners always have a smile on and are waving at you as they drive around on the golf carts. Very helpful, no matter how busy they are, always willing to answer your question. The only thing I wish was more full hook-up sites. We did have water and electricity, which was good. we just had to keep an eye on how full our tank was, then dump it on our way out.

Kristi and Tim were tremendous hosts; great customer service. Best.Clear expectations and amenities available, priced friendly. We had a great time kayaking the Namekogen River. The resort offers rentals and transport to the launch location (also, lots of local input and suggestions, including the river navigation). Beginner level through advanced paddlers will be happy with the offerings, help. Additional fun with tubing, kids' play area, short river beach offer some more options for families. Campers, RVs and equal access to sites thru mid-October.Cozy Cabin was our choice and was a basic sleeping cabin with mini fridge and microwave. Fire pit included with cabin, firewood for a few dollars on site. Showers, flush toilets about 50 ft away. Ask hosts for details on cabin sizing, availability and pricing.Gift shop on site (great selections of essentials, gifts, swag). Personal opinion, the fried chicken was out of this world delicious, at the Prime Bar; none better. Multiple bar/eateries within a very short walk. Location and highway access to the resort makes it easy to find; minutes from Spooner.

Love the staff they are very nice and accommodating. Most the camp sites are crowded together, so if you're looking for any amount of quiet or privacy; this would not work for you. There is a lot of traffic noise at night, this place is close to freeway. The tubing experience is the best around!

They offer tube rental and transport to go river tubing, and this has been a yearly tradition. Throughout the years this has been a staple place to visit. The staff is very friendly, and setting up everything is easy. The bathroom situation is a little meh, but could be worse I guess. The staff is the best part of the place. They're very friendly and helpful.

We go up a few times a year and rent a cabin or two and it’s just perfect every time. I can’t list all of the things we like because it’s a lot. Check this place out… it’s fantastic fun. The owning family is there daily and keep everything very dialed in. Cabins are nice. Every site has a fire pit and they deliver the wood. Big foam party for the kids. Tubing….Check it out!

I just stayed there this week some moron, decided that he’s too stupid and didn’t know how to dump his camper. He decided to get into my side-by-side, put it in gear, push it forward and smash it into my vehicle leaving a mark I contacted the front desk they would not give me his phone number. I gave them my phone number, because that made them feel more comfortable, they said that my side-by-side was in the way after the guy push the side-by-side into my vehicle. However, the owner or workers drove by at least six times by where my Side By Side was parked and never once told me it’s in the way had they done that I would’ve moved it I’ve always had a great experience. At the campground but was not too happy that they would not give me the guys phone number so I can contact him and have him pay for the damage or apologize for touching my property he took it upon himself, and pushed my Side By Side out of the way instead of knocking on my door. This is the guy that can’t figure out how to knock on the door and ask somebody to move if they’re in the way instead of messing up my vehicle. I will end this review. Log cabin has been fantastic. Every time we’ve gone we love going there I wasn’t very happy with the way they handled the situation and made me feel like it’s my fault that some arrogant entitled person decided to move and touch my property, that’s upsetting

I've been going up to Tim & Christie's resort for the past 5 years and I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about their place and services. I've stayed in one of their cabins and camped their once or twice but mainly they are the big smiles that get me on the river and greet me up on my return for canoe-ing & kayaking on the Namekogan River! 🛶 🏕️

I was there 10 months ago and had nothing but excellent things to say about this camp. However, this year was a completely different experience. The price of their wood was about $10 a bundle so we contacted a friend and got a few bundles of hickory for cheaper. The gentleman drove by several times but waited until we had all the wood unloaded to try to tell us it was oak wood and we couldn't have it due to oak wilt, which is clearly already present on several trees in the camp. After a lengthy discussion the decision was made that we could keep our fire wood but have to hide it. Then at 11:01 we were told to turn off our music that was already set at a low volume so we obligated however a few nights later campers were down by the water being extremely loud and obnoxious until 3am but were not told to quiet down to our knowledge. We had other loud campers throughout the camp past "quiet time" but that one was the worst. In my opinion we paid way too much money for a small, high traffic area next to the septic system for the RVs. After the experience I had this year we will not be going back, especially after reading some of the new reviews and the responses the owner made to them.

They have it all, but mainly customer service! We started going there in a tent, then graduated to a pop-up. This year we pulled in with our new 37’ trailer. The owners are great to talk with and genuine people. It shows they care when after a year Tim remembers me by name. They love what they do and it shows. Small waterpark, with 4 or 5 inflatables, small kids water park area. The private beach is well kept. And I am thankful they keep it private as my family comes with 6 small children and to have public tubers getting out there would change the feel dramatically. We have been coming up to this beautiful river for 33yrs. This is by far the best campground in the area.

We've been coming to the Log Cabin Resort for several years and it's always a pleasure. The last 2 years we've rented a cabin and decided that's the way to go. The Loon cabin is my favorite, so cute and very comfortable. We love having the beach on the river so we can float and play in the water in addition to having the end of the float trip right there. All the staff are amazing and make every visit so wonderful. Can't say enough good things! Already planning next year's visit.

Very nice and comfortable campground. Not tiny little sites like a lot of places and even all the guests are friendly its just a comfortable place. The staff treat you better than family and obviously care for there guests. This is our new go to campground for riding the trails around Trego. We didn't get to tube this trip but are going to plan on a day next trip to go it looked like a lot of fun.

We had a larger group going to this campground for 15 years in the same sites by the river. This past year the owners decided to inform us at departure time that are sites are no longer available to tents because they want to grow grass. The location they wanted to move us over to was by the main road which has regular traffic through the night.

Excellent campground owned by great folks. We’ve been going up for three years now and each year gets better. We rent our canoes and use the shuttle service for our annual river trip.We are now looking forward to bringing our grandson to enjoy the amenities on the campground! We’re looking forward to seeing you again soon.

My sister and I LOVE staying here for our siblings trip. The staff is phenomenal and you see the owners often asking if you need anything or just by for a quick chat. The store is well stocked and they are super knowledgeable about the area. Great tubing and amazing canoe or kayak options to be able to see quite a bit of wildlife.

We have been going to Log Cabin for nearly 20 years, but no longer. Tim/Christy (owners the past few years) decided that our campsites (we tent) will become RV only sites. We go as a group, with 3 adjoining sites, 1-3. Tim stated last year as we're leaving from the long weekend that he can't get the grass to grow with tents on these 3 sites. And wants to turn them into RV sites only. Telling us he's not for sure going to do this, but will let us know in the spring. And if it were to happen he'd accommodate us and move us to sites along the same path near the river. That didn't happen. Never called us. I recently looked online, saw our original sites changed to RV only and alleged accommodating sites booked too. So we reached out to them. Turns out, they decided to put our group of nearly 20 years of patronage to Log Cabin away from the river in areas of the campground we don't wish to be. Having a view of the river is awesome among other reasons while camping! Nonetheless, we've been booted out of our yearly campsites. For what, grass to grow? Bologna! RV's with there extra wheels, jack stabilizer stands, fake patio grass on sites 1-3 and everywhere else on the grounds will not allow grass to grow. Words cannot explain how disappointed we are with Tim& Christy's lying decision to say they want to have more grass growing for those sites. And that's why we can't tent on sites 1-3. You'd think, for 1 long weekend a year they'd accommodate our group on those sites. Like being grandfathered in. They just want to make more money. Heck, we'd pay the RV rate just to continue tenting there once a year on those sites. Instead, we're out. Explaining to your kids who grew up going to Log Cabin as to why we are no longer allowed to tent on sites 1-3? Not fun. I'm not going to bash them, that's not fair. But this is ridiculous. Why not say, we can make more money having RV's on those three sites instead of tents. We're done promoting Log Cabin Campground in Trego WI. Quite sad with all the merchandise we've purchased through the years promoting it too.Grass............ Lol

Stayed there a couple years ago with my daughter and we absolutely loved it! I lost their card and couldn't remember the name of the resort and just found it online. I'll be booking our next stay ASAP! The staff are the absolute best. Extremely kind people. They would deliver the wood for the fire when we needed it and were always available. It's right on the river. Beautiful views both day and night. We went on inner tubes and floated down the river and it brought us right back to our camp site. Horseshoes, kid friendly, clean... I honestly can't say enough about this place. Look forward to going back.

First impression was the owner greeting me by my email address. It was as if she was waiting for us to arrive! Absolutely the friendliest and most accommodating owners yet! Down to earth and great sense of humor! Campground was very nice and clean. Awesome activities for kids. On the beautiful river. Our site was nicely shaded and wonderful. We are definitely returning! Other campers staying here were telling us they feel the same way! Showers were nice and hot and clean. 25 mn drive to fun Hayward! Shopping and yummy candy stores! I can't say enough good things about this place! Owners are awesome!!!!

My family and I decided to find a place for a late year vacation. We had traveled past Log Cabin Resort many times and decided to give it a try. Overall it was a good experience and my family members are happy as well. The cabins are nice. I was in the loon with the wife. It is good size for two people. It has everything you would need for an extended stay. It has a shared bedroom/dinning area, a small kitchen, a big bathroom. The bed is super soft, like sink in 6 or 8 inches soft, my wife loved it and I hated it. I liked everything else about the loon cabin. My kids stayed in the moose. It has two bedrooms with a set of queen beds each, a futon and pull out couch. A small bathroom and kitchen. The beds were comfy and everyone liked them. The internet is not reachable in this unit. There is a wifi repeater in the cabin but it doesn't connect to the main router most of the time. As a result we could not watch anything on the roku TV and we couldn't play our games that need wifi, like Jack Box. The water was dangerously hot so be careful if you have kids here. The grounds are well groomed and well kept. They have a bouncy house set up for the kids, a nice beach, a pond area for fishing, a nice camper area, kyak and cannoe rentals, and a sauna that was out of order (that sucked). Otherwise it's well layed out and has lots of stuff to do. There is a bar and grill within walking distance that has good food. You can drive 15+ minutes and be in Hayward or Spooner. There are lots of things to do in this area.

Wonderful family campground and cabins. The owners were very accommodating, even lending us a hose and electric cord so we could hook up. We had a great site on the river with nice grass and privacy. We rented a canoe and were shuttled up the river for a wonderful paddle. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend!

The Log Cabin continues to provide great service to it's campers. The shuttle vans for the kayakers and tubers come and go. They can even accommodate big groups.Tim and Christy definitely set up the campers to have a fun and relaxing weekend. Even our dog sits back and relaxes in the sun.

The folks at Log Cabin are friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. We had stayed in a cabin the night before we launched a multi-day canoe trip. When we had a weather-related change in plans we took out early. They were able to "on the fly" arrange a new shuttle and day trip for us so we could hit a part of the river we really wanted to paddle. The cabin was super nice, clean and cozy. The canoe shuttle was timely and friendly. It was great to work with them!
