I have taken my dog, Duncan: a border collie/lab mix, to 3 of Overdale Kennels group obedience lessons. These classes include: puppy manners, beginners 1 and advanced beginners. I also continue to take him there for grooming. They have the most amazing trainers and amazing grooming services. They are very patient and knowledgeable and make the training fun for both owner and dog. I am currently finishing up with puppy manners group obedience class with my 4 month old German shepherd. The training is effective and fun! I highly recommend doing your training, boarding and grooming here!

Over the past 9 years I have taken 3 of my dogs to classes at Overdale and have always had a fun time. I am very much an introvert, so I don’t always ask a ton of questions, but I have learned so much and my dogs are better for having gone. The classes my dogs took are obedience, rear end awareness, rally and agility. I don’t go out much so my dogs aren’t as used to people and other dogs as they should be, but Val and Hilary have always been encouraging and so good with my pups. I hope to continue with their training here in the future months.

All of the trainers and staff truly care about your dog and are willing to go out of their way to help you. They are very experienced and knowledgeable! This is the number one trainer in Wisconsin. They save the dog by training the people. I would have had put my dog down if not for these wonderful people. I can not thank them enough. Zeke is now a happy healthy and well behaved 7 year old. Living his best life!Kennels and grooming is also wonderful!

I have taken 3 obedience courses with my dog here and can’t say enough good things! We started with the puppy class. This class gave us the foundations for a successful dog owner relationship! Our pup is now 10 months old and since the puppy class we have done the beginners and novice obedience classes. Our dog is very well behaved thanks to this training. It has also been so fun for me to train her. It has sparked an interest of mine and we hope to continue with obedience. We might even try the agility next! Highly recommend this business!

Overdale Kennel has been in Obi’s life since he was a pup.He took puppy classes, his Canine Good Citizen's course now agility. Obi has had the whole family for instructors and loves them all. As can be told the moment we pull into the Overdale driveway and he starts crying with excitement.Obi loves to be groomed by Kelsey right there at Overdale and then we stay and run agility class.This winter we tried something new trick dog class. Overdale offers so many options and will have many more when their new facility is open.The biggest and best sign when I left Obi for boarding and came back to pick him up he wasn’t even happy to see me. It made me sad but happy to know he loved it there. I highly recommend the great training, grooming and boarding at Overdale!❤️

I appreciate the positive approach they take, making training fun for both the dog and owner. My poodle is ten months old and we’ve been going to every class we can. If I had a choice, it would be negative stars. This is just for my experience n what the pups went through. Their classes may be spectacular but not their boarding..it obviously took me a while to even consider writing a review.. Pups came back sick from another contaminated dog. Tells me she is coughing, but I did not witness that. Instead, she had mucky eyes and red bloodshot. It's very gross... like a respiratory issue, the vet even said it's not bordetella as that vaccine is pottent to many respiratory illnesses. They weren't even sure what it was. I had to quarantine them. These pups have all their vaccines n any Lil thing I observe I call my vet on..When i would email the boarding, it felt like I was constantly bothering them for answers. Ugh! Then my other pup got sick, too. Had to keep my 3rd puppy away as a precaution cause I wasn't sure what it was. Took to vet n prescribed her pink eye antibiotic med and to monitor them for any other symptoms...n keep away from other pups. I had the vet meet me in the parking lot just in cash and washed everything n sprayed everything. Very frustrated. Pups bedding was disgusting, the pups n yhe bedding literally smelt like wet mold. Others have said the same to me on their experience, and their pups, too, had the same issue as mine. Idk, but what I do know is that I could not return here again.my first n last time. Live n learn. Def. Going back to the other places, my babies have stayed in Mn. .pay a a bit more but aooo worth it. They get spoiled and actually walk the pups, not put them in a run. The MN places they text or send pics if i have any questions. They also reach out to u without me prompting them. Word of advice to overdale if a pet parent is emailing or calling you about their Pups That means it is okay to bother themespecially after the fact i had to pull the info about them and saud they would monitor her and i never got any update. . Be courteous and respond, especially when U tell them they were exposed to who knows what. Close to home boarding but not worth it for this fur baby mama. Call me a Karen or a Bxxxx well idc. I say it like it is. These are my kiddos.. The only thing i got was the prompt bill. Ask me to fill the app, but I had to fill the whole info all over again if paying online.. like what... why am I repeating this all over... pups came back with extra food when they shouldn't have. But I get it. Any pup can be picky. It's just a huge eye roll..K done ranting. My experience is a hard NO.. good luck to any future borders. U may have a much better experience.. ciao

Overdale Kennel team is fantastic! I never worry about my fur-babies while they are boarded at Overdale. Exceptional care even when special needs are required such as medication. I have a dominant female boxer that attended obedience training and agility. Val and Hilary helped me to be a better handler for her. It has made a big difference for both of us. Highly recommend Overdale Kennel for both Boarding and Classes!

Val has been instructing classes for more than 40 years and our family has taken advantage of a variety of classes in 4-H and at Overdale. She has had literally thousands of dogs pass through her hands, making dogs better citizens along with helping owners fix specific problems like shyness, aggression & many others. You gain so much more knowledge than just obedience, (for example nutrition) you have fun with your dog and learn how to read them and other dogs to avoid conflicts to keep you both safe!All of the instructors continue to educate themselves with new techniques, animal behavior.Hilary has taught pre vet classes for UWRF for small animal behavior.We will not board our dogs anywhere else, in this day and age I trust them that my dogs are happy and safe, I never need to worry about them when they are there and I can enjoy my vacation.

Our puppy started going to Overdale Kennel when he was six months old. Puppy Manners class was a great start to help with obedience training to combat behaviors at home. He graduated as an AKC Star Puppy with the help of the staff. We continued to utilize the obedience classes and now our 1 year old puppy just finished the Novice level. Every week we noticed a tremendous difference in his behaviors-- for the better-- at home.We have also utilized the boarding Overdale Kennel provides. Our puppy has a fantastic time socializing with all the other dogs. He comes home happy, tired, but loves going back! We truly have enjoyed the services Overdale Kennel provides.

I’d give Overdale Kennel 1,000 stars if I could. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They are wonderful people, excellent trainers, have top notch customer service, love dogs and help you to understand your dog and troubleshoot problem behavior. Our rescued husky mix has gone through two different training sessions there, and it did him (and us) a world of good. He loves going to daycare and boarding to spend time being with and playing with his buddies and comes back happy and tired. It’s a dog’s life at Overdale!

We travel during the winter and take our miniature American Shepherd with us. People often comment on how well behaved he is, and my credit always goes to Overdale Kennel. The training programs we participated in made a significant difference in Quincy's behavior around people and other dogs. I also recommend the boarding facilities at Overdale Kennel. They are clean, and when we need to board Quincy, he is satisfied with being there. I NEVER worry.

They do an excellent job with the dogs and the people. We take bella there when we go on vacation. Their kennel accommodations are excellent. The classes are fun and they teach the dogs and the people. We have a naughty hound and if we hadn't trained her there twice she'd be naughtier than she is. They helped us understand the breed also which was totally important.

I have been bringing my dog to Overdale for about 5 years now, and I have worked with Val, Hillary, and Sydney over this time. They have all contributed to my dog becoming an awesome dog and the fan of many a passerby.He was a rescue and had some aggressive tendencies, which Val helped me understand and work through.Basic and Advanced Obedience classes were great at building a bond between us. The Canine Good Citizen class has helped us to be better around others and I am more confidant taking him into public areas with lots of people now.Working with Hilary on read end awareness was amazing, in that he learned more about his rear and how to use it, and I can see the results from this class on almost every walk we do, with the way he maneuvers around obstacles.Currently we are working on Agility, which we both love. Is been a great experience and I have had a chance to meet some other wonderful people that are training their dogs as well.When Agility Day comes around my dog will totally get in my face to get him into the car to go. I am 99% sure he really does know the day of the week we go.All in all, I would highly recommend the team at Overdale, there is something there for everyone, and the value and experience are priceless.

I boarded my two dogs with Overdale for a week over the 4th of July. Neither of them have ever been boarded before and I was extremely nervous to be away from them. Overdale was amazing and took great care of both of them. They were very professional and kind to my family. I am booking two more weekends and will be a loyal customer from here on out. Overdale has been a part of Trapper's world for the past 13 years. He has achieved Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Agility, Rear end Awareness, Rally and lifetime friends. He began classes and a groom the first week after I adopted him. I watched him gain his confidence and change from obeying commands out of fear to to developing self confidence and a mind of his own, humbling me, more than once, on the Agility course. Val and Hillary's expertise in reading dog behavior is such a positive experience for both students - dog and owner. This is a win-win! Although Trapper is no longer attending classes, he's in his retirement years (like me), he still visits Kelsey for grooming and always gets compliments on his ears. We would not be the team that we are if it wasn't for Overdale.

I have been boarding my dogs at Overdale Kennel for as long as they have been in business. My dogs are always excited to go, have a great time while they are at the kennel and come home happy and well cared for. The staff are well trained and know how to pair appropriate dogs together so they can play and have fun and nobody gets hurt. I have also always taken my new dogs to at least one or two series of classes to make sure I know what I am doing and get help with the specific needs of the dog. My last one is a rescue I got at nine months and he needed a total restart, which is exactly what Val trained me how to do. I highly recommend Overdale Kennel and Sport Dog Center. They know what they are doing.

Our family has been training and boarding dogs at Overdale for many years. We’ve trained dogs in obedience and agility from beginners to advanced levels.The instruction is always of the highest quality. The instructors have years of experience training across the many disciplines of dog sport. The trainers’ ability to read dog behavior (and educate the owners) is amazing!We’ve trained 5 dogs with varying personalities. Val, Hilary and Sydney have always helped identify each dog’s strengths as well as offer practical advice about how to work with them to bring out the best in each dog…and they make training fun!The boarding facility is great! They follow strict cleaning and safety protocols and the staff is always cheerful and professional. Dogs are exercised and played with multiple times each day. I am comfortable leaving my dog because I know he will be well cared for while I’m gone.I would highly recommend Overdale Kennel for a positive and fun training and boarding experience.

I have done numerous training classes with multiple dogs over the course of several years. The trainers are knowledgeable and eager to help solve any issues you are having with your dog. Not only are the classes informative but the dogs LOVE going to classes. I had an elderly dog who never wagged his tail much but anytime he was in class he would wag his tail, happy to be learning, even as a senior. That type of environment is crucial to a dog's learning and development! I've also had the pleasure of working for Overdale and I know that the care of the dogs in the boarding kennel is top notch. Wonderful, safe, caring and fun environment for any dog. Highly recommend for boarding and training!

This place is incredible! We have used Overdale in a variety of ways throughout the years; kenneling, puppy training & grooming. We are happy with ALL the services we have received. To be able to leave town and know our dogs are being well cared for is priceless. The puppy training class was so good for both our beagle and for us as owners. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and wonderful to work with. We also have our dogs groomed by Kelsey. She does an amazing job at a more than reasonable price. I was taking my obedience class and tonight we tried some new exercises! The way the instructor approached these exercises was a building process, and my dog and I had successfully accomplished the new exercise the first time! This built a lot of confidence for not only my dog but I as well. Overdale Kennel is our go to place for everything related to our Golden Doodle - training our new puppy, quarterly grooming’s, and boarding. In 2020, we added our first ever puppy to our family. To say we were over our heads would be an understatement. The first thing we did was identify a training facility. Through our research we discovered Overdale Kennel. After attending our first session, we knew this was our place. Their entire facility and employees are caring, giving, informative, and helpful. The Groomer, Kelsey, takes time to share the process, and listen to our request for her cut. A wonderful plus, when our Golden Doodle sees Kelsey our dog’s tail does not stop waging because of her excitement. In addition to the training, and grooming we also board her – long- or short-term stays. The facility is clean and has caring staff and our dog loves the time she gets to spend outside with her newly made friends. After 3 years of exclusively using Overdale Kennel our sweet dog knows the road they are on and gets beyond excited when we drive down it. We highly recommend Overdale Kennel. The Harvey Family.

Overdale is without question the Best in Western Wisconsin, and a leader in the entire state, for joint training between you and your canine companion! Their boarding facilities and capacity are excellent as well.Head trainers Val, Hilary and Sydney are excellent communicators, teachers and instructors. The results show with their dogs used as demonstrators, as well as the progressing results of your own dog, and classmates dog. Feel confident that you are in good hands, receiving value for your time.I brought my Labrador Retriever, Bramble, through a series of courses from Puppy Manners, Obedience, Rear End Awareness, and Agility that are offered at their facility. Bramble is always happy and excited to arrive at school! I have been training with Overdale for close to 17 years. Their trainers have years of experience and a wealth of knowledge. I have trained with them for rally, obedience, rear end awareness, and agility. My dogs have competed in and had great success in a variety of venues. I have taken group classes and private lessons. They have helped train my personal dogs for competition, and my behaviorally challenged foster dogs who were learning to be well-behaved companions. I routinely recommend Overdale to friends and coworkers. There is no one else in the area that I would recommend.

We have been boarding our multiple dogs with Overdale for at least 10 years. I completely trust them. They are extremely knowledgeable regarding the various dog breeds, training and temperaments. Overdale Kennel is AMAZING! Our puppy started with beginner obedience and is now in advanced beginners. Michelle and Val have helped shaped our stubborn puppy's behavior, which has helped tremendously at home and out in public! The trainers are fantastic to work with and have so much patience with the dogs and their owners. We are looking forward to trying more classes and watching our puppy improve!
