The staff members are knowledgeable about all of the products that I asked about. The price is a little higher than some larger chain hardware stores but it's definitely cheaper than Tri County Building Supply. By default, best hardware store in town for sure.

Ray is a wonderful and upstanding man. He is a kind and very solid person who knows how to get the job done. Ray conducts his business well. The establishment is clean and very efficient. It feels like family.

Small town hardware store, but they almost always seem to have what you need. Ray knows where everything is and can help find the right combination of parts for most projects. They don't have much in the way of large constructions materials like wood or insulation or drywall. Tricounty Building Supply on 14 has that kind of stuff. Doerre fills a need and will almost always spare you 1.5 hour round trip to the nearest big box stores. You might pay a little extra for that convenience, but the prices are reasonable.

Great small town old fashioned hardware store. Remember those old hardware stores back in the 60s or 70s when you were a kid. This is one of those. The smell of saw dust, the 2 steps or the little ramps you walked up and down to get to the gardening section or the light bulb aisle. You can usually find anything you normally need here. And customer service is much better here than those big chain stores.

Doerre is the go to hardware store, when you don't want to make a trip to Richland Center. You can get the same thing at Doerre and they have helpful friendly people to help you.
