Great service, atmosphere and food! Apps were Scallops with bacon, garlic and lemon aioli & Goat cheese crostinis.Both so amazing so glad we got both!Table got Salmon, steak and I had the sushi special, all perfect!Then dessert carrot a must, also banana Foster’s cheesecake on and ice cream!

I thought the restaurant was super nice and comfy. Maybe a little loud when you walked in and a little smoky downstairs where we were. I liked the complimentary popover, thought it was really good. We ordered a 10 oz steak, house salad, cup of bisque, lobster tail, and mushrooms/onions. Steak was cooked alright. My husband liked it, I wasn’t as impressed. I preferred the lobster and thought that was cooked well and was very good. Mashed potatoes were served with it. Nothing special by any means. The house salad was really good and the portion size was large. The lobster bisque was also very good. Not too rich in flavor. The mushrooms were the worst though. Tasted like canned mushrooms. Do not get those.

Great service from start to finish. We had a reservation for five thirty and showed up very early. We were still seated immediately! The atmosphere was upscale, modern, and clean. The view from the upstairs patio was gorgeous! The salads were well seasoned and savory. The whitefish fillet amandine was delicious, as were the potstickers, and the chocolate torte. Our server, Sam, was great. We didn't wait too long for anything and our orders were accurate.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, but they are somewhat limited.Parking: Ample parking across the street near the beach.Kid-friendliness: They have chairs for small children and options for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: They've got seating on ground level and second level that's accessible via elevator.

Drive by here on a nice summer day and you’ll see the entire lawn covered with tables full of happy diners, with good reason. If you want a classy place to go for dinner that always delivers a satisfying experience, you can’t go wrong with CHOP.The drinks are delicious, the steaks have all kinds of sauces and accompaniments to choose from. The filet medallions are a perfect portion for me, and we’ve went with my parents for the 3 course Early Dining menu, which is an unbeatable value.

We were lucky enough to snag a couple seats at the bar since we were lazy and didn't call ahead to make reservations. The restaurant is very nice and for me has a great selection of bourbon.We got a filet and some crab cakes and both were delicious. The bartender did a great job hands down. We stopped here last minute, but we got great service and a wonderful dinner so highly recommended and call ahead as they were very busy.

We ate upstairs and even though we came near closing time, we still received excellent service. Server was competent and friendly. Atmosphere was romantic and tasteful. The food was prepared exactly to our liking, kudos to the chef. Expect to pay up to $100 for 2 people but it was worth every bite!

Chop is a wonderful eye full of home style class and modern chic. The staff from door to table was fantastic and not a single item was required of me to ask for. We ordered the crab cakes to start. To call them cakes is a stretch, more like Petite fours. That being said they were full of flavors you would expect from the sea and complimented with a deliciously thoughtful citrus aioli. As it should be. Next came the soup and salad. I had the creamy potato with crispy bacon and cheese. Was it the stuff of legends? No. Was it better than expected? Well also no. However, salt and pepper from the table made it better. The salad was vibrantly green and blanked with a fresh shave of parm. Delicious. Next came the main attraction. Crispy Duck with a side of asparagus while my partner had the salmon, also with a side of asparagus. Let’s quack about the duck. Crispy skin, juicy with a cherry reduction. Yum. The duck was luscious and pairs like a silk grove on an alabaster hand to the cherry. The only concern was the fat should have been scorn at the moving joints to let it render more. The salmon was slightly over cooked but the citrus zest and char on the outside was textbook, but not in a bad way. The asparagus was delicious and much needed with the entree’ as the wild rice was cooked to a paste like mush. Dessert was the star for me. Whom ever is listening please thank Grandma Carole for the Carrot Cake. Anyone who does not order this with their dinner does not deserve to dine at this establishment. Would have been five stars if there were not just those few hoops. However they did set the bar low for the rest of the meal to simply walk over it.

We’ve been going to chop for years and I’m sorry to say it’s not maintained the standard we were accustomed to. On our way into the restaurant, an employee rushed passed us and didn’t even consider holding the door for us or her coworkers carrying multiple drinks. Our waitress was snarky with a ton of nonverbal attitude. The food wasn’t that bad but the 50 dollar 6 oz steak was cold to touch and had been cut open at the end. We ordered desserts to go and I’ve included a pic of the 15.00 flourless chocolate cake. Could t be more than 4 bites. We were charged a 3.99% service charge and then taxes on that as well. Not sure if this is for the cooks or bartenders, but at the very least, this should be explained upfront and online. This of course affected what we were willing to tip the snarky waitress and she made it very clear to us on our way out that she wasn’t happy.Sadly, I don’t think we will be going back. LURE is their sister restaurant and while we had reservations for tomorrow we will be canceling.Parking: There’s no handicapped parking anywhere.

Worth every penny for a nice night out on our honeymoon. The food was so so delicious. We could’ve done without the bacon on the scallops but that is just preference. They were delicious. Popovers weren’t our favorite but I’m sure others love. Beautiful patio seating and warm enough under the heater.

Had a lovely dinner here on our honeymoon. Very nice ambiance inside, upscale and modern.The complimentary popovers were delicious, I could eat the maple butter that came with it just on it's own.The star of the show for me was the scallops we had as an appetizer. Perfectly cooked, and the bacon/onion jam and lemon/garlic aoli were perfect accompaniments. So good that I had to refrain myself from licking the plate.Our entrées were perfectly cooked, and paired nicely with our cocktails.This is a great place to stop, especially if you enjoy surf and/or turf.

Fine dining in the beautiful landscape of Fish Creek. Chop does almost everything right, however it does get a bit overrun with people (even out of season).The bar is very small and there is no waiting area, causing people to pack at the entrance of the restaurant.Food however is fantastic, the vibe of the restaurant is great, and the drinks are crafted properly. You can't do much better in Door County, apart from Barringer's which is of an equal bar.

Clean atmosphere. Kids menu. No vegan options, but there is vegetarian option which I got for $22 included dinner salad. the wild rice was done very nicely. Hubs got the ribeye steak was $50 and kids plates were $9-12. kids burger was overdone on the edges/burned so my not picky eater did not eat it, and he loves burgers, but the kids shrimp included three nice size shrimp! over all pretty good. service was slow getting orders and bill - said the system was new or slow multiple times, but he was nice. I think it is over priced a bit, but over all the food was good, not a bad place to stop, but there are some great places to eat in Door County.

Fast and friendly service. Great menu. The food was perfectly designed and cooked. Bravo Maria was amazing The pork chop was cooked perfectly, love the maple butter glace, sautéed apples and toasted pecans. The Crispy Duck withmaple leaf farm 1/2 duck, Seaquist cherry demi-glace,Minnesota wild rice was beyond all expectations with such deep flavor. The carrot cake is to die for definitely the best carrot cake on the planet.

This was our 3rd time coming to Chop. It’s our personal favorite in Sister Bay! Definitely get reservations, it’s totally worth it! We have continued to have amazing food, great service, and love the atmosphere. My personal favorite dish is their Crispy duck. My husband is a huge advocate for their steak. We also love the pork dumpling appetizers! I also like their selection of wine. We come to sister bay every year and we always save one night for Chop!

We visited on 10/24/22. We sat at the bar for dinner, which we don’t mind but if you want to sit in the dining room reservations are recommended. Atmosphere is nice. Drinks good. Food was really good, we got the filet medallions and the filet mignon. Potato was chefs choice - mashed red potatoes - no flavor at all. Glad we had butter from the roles because we used that and extra pepper. Bartender was our server, not overly friendly.

I was hoping for the best based on prior reviews. I'll keep mine short and sweet. My Beef Burgundy was served luke warm (likely under a heat lamp while my husband's steak was cooked...which was delicious btw). I sent it back and was obviously microwaved when returned, but at least it was a bit hotter!! After appetizers, my silverware was taken away but never replaced (I made do with an appetizer fork).But what irks me the most is that there is a 3.99% MANDATORY SERVICE CHARGE, but when the Toast tab unit is presented to you, 20% is the MINIMUM tip option. That means you have to custom select any tip that is less than 23.99%....And this is when you can barely keep the lights on (look at my photo) 😉😉....im a stickler for the details at a 'fine dining restaurant'. It's obvious they don't use half the bulbs to save money. Petty....yea, but this seems to be a "nickel and dime you to death" establishment dressed up as a steakhouse.

WOW! The food was amazing, the meat was very tender! I highly recommend coming early for the early dining special 5pm-530pm. The staff was super, they were fast and friendly. Do yourself a favor and get the carrot cake, seriously the best EVER!!

I had the 6oz filet with chop's house butter and also tried the garlic butter, both are great. All of our steaks were overcooked, but giving grace because of covid. Added on lobster and did not regret it! Perfectly cooked and tasty. Caesar salad and the popovers were a great start to the meal. Our server Judy was on top of everything and well informed. I would say this is a great choice for steak if you're in the area!
