Good store with pleanty of gardening and outdoors tools. They also have a very good selection of flowers and plants. I especially like their fish pond out by the greenhouse area. Very clean store with very nice staff I would definitely recommend stopping for any lawncare or gardening needs.

Recently purchased some paint and it didn't match the swatch that I picked out. Was told it would darken more when it dried. I took it home and used it but was not happy with it. Went back to the store and got them to mix another gallon. Formula was different. Never received an apology or a discount on the second gallon. Employee was very abrupt. Tried to use my rewards for the purchase but was told I needed a $50 purchase. Paint was $44. Rewards program is a joke. It requires a minimum purchase and has an expiration date. No incentive for me for me to shop there.

Over the top pleased with the service department, when I recently brought In my STIEL leaf blower Brandon, not only fixed it but showed me how to clean the muffler should the same thing happen again we thought it was a goner and it’s so nice to know that it’s fixed and alive and well! Honestly, the experience was the best that I’ve had in a long, long time!

Recently bought home point canning jars. They are so amazing. I canned my meat and vegetables with these canning jars. Not one lid failed. The Home Point Jars are what I know I can trust with my home grown products.

I usually only go here when I can't find what I need elsewhere in town or need to learn more about a part or paint or something else. While I think Qualheims is a little pricey than other places, the staff can be exceptionally helpful, something I don't find at some of the other store around here.Except for this day, Sunday, 22 March, at 4:30 p.m.I wanted to get tires for by brother-in-law's ATV. The only thing I knew was the tire size. Unfortunately the guy behind the small engine repair counter was not only condescending, but of no help. Instead of asking if or how he could help me find what I needed, he was more condescending and made it seemed like I was troubling him or wasting his time. The way he asked me what I wanted, with his shoulder shrugs and his sighs or the smirk on his face, made me realize not all staff here are as helpful as I thought. It didn't look like he was busy, he was just standing behind the desk with what looked like a friend and maybe another staff member. I could tell he was not interested in helping find what I needed.So I went to the front service desk to ask if there was a manger or supervisor I could speak with, but the gal up front informed me there really wasn't anybody like that working there on this day.Store manager Dave, perhaps somebody can help the young man who works Sunday afternoons at the small engine repair section learn a little about customer service. Maybe work on how he interacts with people who help pay his salary. It might help increase sales, especially on slow days like Sunday.

The staff is always super helpful, and the store has a great variety of products, including sections for pets, gardening, crafts, motor vehicles, tools, and individual hardware parts. I know I can trust the folks at Qualheim's- True Value emphasizes the fact that all of their locations are locally owned and run. Highly recommend!

Good afternoon to all. Thank you for your feedback. I have been the General Manager at Qualheims since November of 2022. It pains me to read reviews like the one DP wrote, and rest assured that I am working through the schedules to rectify the situation. That should never be happening. I greatly appreciate it being brought to my attention though, so thank you for taking the time. Many things have been brought up about pricing. We do attempt to remain competitive with our much larger competition, and in the vast majority of cases we are. There are those times that their supply channels allow for a more aggressive price than ours. With the majority of product that is carried at our competitors; Cub Cadet, Ariens, Weber, etc., we utilize pricing set forth by the manufacturer, which should be identical to chain retailors. Unfortunately we cannot always be the price leader in all products. Going forward, I will be responding to your concerns as often as possible. Thank you for your feedback and sharing your concerns.

Clean store,well organized, courteous workers...knew where things were and if it was in stock. Looked for a special battery,they had it. Employee took the time to cross reference!! My Rewards card works wherever I go!!!

We just had the extreme pleasure of Matt helping us pick out Apple trees. Very knowledgeable and helpful. When asked a question and he did not know the answer he willingly went and looked it up. Matt is the type employee everyone desires working for their company! Great job Matt!

Drove out of town to rent a tree stump grinder that was reserved. Had to change date because machine is in for repair. Only found out because we called to reconfirm. They never called us or we would have arrived to find it out of service. Then we arrive to rent and are told we can only rent with a credit card. Not a debit card. They supposedly just changed this policy but do not feel they need to let you know before you get there. They could hold extra money on your card especially since you make a special trip which was prearranged. The one star rating is even too high . We have rented before from Qualheim’s without any problems. Will never come back here and will let anyone who asks us not to come here. Your customer service is the worst. I am so disgusted with Qualheims and this is putting it nicely. . Management should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers and need to learn to advise us of new company policies.

Ashamed of buying from this store. I spent a lot of money buying a fountain and they "forgot" a piece of the fountain when loading it. After several back and forth conversations the manager won't send out the piece. Ridiculous he won't mail out a piece his employee forgot to give us. CHEAP inconsiderate people!

Customer service by the front end staff and management is always horrible, when questioning them. Have located what I thought was a good deal, when rung up at the register the price was wrong. We went back looked and the entire shelf was marked wrong. We were told we should match the UPC to the label. Then argued with me about and while doing so making rude , condescending remarks.Whatever happened to professionalism and the customer is always right? Gave this place several chances, won't be back.

*I wish there were two ratings: one for service and one for the store. Since there is only one, consider this rating is for the store-it's available items and the overall impression I got upon entering.I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of items in both the craft department and the paint department. I usually head out of town to find a wider variety of crafting items, I won't need to resort to this anymore. Qualheim's True Value gives bigger stores a run for their money. However, asking the young, female clerk (we'll call her A.) where I could find a certain item was a colossal waste of my valuable time. The blank stare I received, coupled with her, "uh, I don't really know. Um,Sorry?" (upon which she returned to stocking a shelf and pretended I wasn't standing in front of her), really caused me to shake my head in disbelief. I would have been better off saving the time I spent asking her for help and using it to blindly search for the elusive item on my own. I went to the service desk where another young girl was working. I was directed to the 'Chicken and Rabbit Food Dept' with a point of her finger when I asked her where to find SEWING ITEMS. The only help I received was from 2 gentlemen employees; one, David, a friendly man working in the framing department noticed me wandering around the Chicken Feed aisle and WALKED me to where the item should be. He then asked if there was anything else I needed. The second man, working in the farming dept. was equally as helpful and friendly when I was unable to locate another item. Apparently the term Customer Service was only deemed important up until 1999, when it went the way of good manners, treating others with respect, good grammar, and appropriate dress. Too bad!

Purchased young hens from them, advertised as "chickens" describing gow they lay and what color eggs. Turns out that half of what I got were roosters. Upon calling them, I was rudely told there's nothing they can do for me. They said they sell a barnyard mix. I told them they should advertise as such. DO NOT PURCHASE LAYING HENS FROM THEM. Not a gaurentee to get hens. 4 of 6 are roosters. 😠

This hardware store has everything you'd ever want or need. Very attractive inside and out with employees who know what they are doing. I take my lawn mower there every spring for a check up. Last year they were honest and said it wasn't worth fixing. I enjoy walking around just looking at things. You can blow an hour there and enjoy every minute. They also have free popcorn on the way out. I wish we had a hardware store this nice back home!

1star. I came in to buy some paint. I had a few questions. They were busy so they called an employee from another department to help me. I asked (Dave) if he was familiar with the paint department since I wanted an expert opinion. I guess he didn't like my question. He totally ignored me, turned around and walked away. Wow, never been treated like that before. If he was my employee, he would be in the unemployment line tomorrow.

The store well organized and the associates are always helpful. Products are good quality, but a little pricy, which is expected in a small town like Shawano. The other huge plus is if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will try to give you alternate ideas where you may be able to find it! Would highly recommend.

I had a very negative experience with the rental department. I called for a lift, stating I needed it for a week. It was available, so I picked it up. It needs a special trailer to haul it that I rented at the same time. I discussed with the associate working on keeping the trailer for the week, or running back and forth to save the weekly rental on it. I went with keeping it.Fast forward to the end of the rental, I get a call asking where the lift was. I reminded him that I had it for a week, and he agreed he remember talking about it. I was asked when I was going to return it, and I said I should have one more day of rent to make a week, and the associate agreed.I returned it the next day to be charged for an extra day of rental, and to be told a weekly rental is only 5 days. Nowhere on the form or website did it state that it was only 5 days. They were unwilling to budge, and didn't care that they were the cause of the communication issues.I will use Kimps or United Rental from now on, lesson learned.

Poor lil hamsters and guinea pigs are sick, not cared for properly with the bare minimum habitats, no medication or warnings that your pet may die in a few weeks, dont buy pets from department stores like this. You incentivise them to keep treating animals as products. And for a business not centered around them, they do NOT give them the care they deserve.

The pet department sucks. They have no clue what they are doing with the fiddler crabs. We just bought 3 fish today and don't know if they'll survive because they are so beat up from the employee trying to catch them. The one fish got stuck in the net and the employee practically ripped it's fine off trying to remove it.

The store has a wide variety of inventory and usually can serve my needs, with one huge exception. The community needs to have the staff wear masks and wear them in the right way. Despite the notification on the store’s front door, many patrons are not wearing masks and many staffers wear the mask below the nose or around the neck. Masks are meant to provide safety to the customer. If the masks are not worn, it demonstrates a lack of respect to the customer.

They use to cut keys for you. Or I should say they will if you pay 3 to 4 times the amount for the same key you can buy off the internet. $6 VS $30. To same time don't bother with Walmart. Same gig. Buy it from us, we'll cut it. If not, there's the door. Outstanding customer service. And no, it's no special cut. No chip in the key... Pretty soon if you want a spare house key made, you'll have to buy the locks from them first...

It seems as though no matter what I need to fix I can always find the right stuff at Qualheim’s True Value. Whether it be hardware, electrical, plumbing or tools, they usually have it. If I don’t want to buy a tool, I can rent it from them. I bought a new Skil chainsaw there. When I broke it, their on site repair shop had it fixed by the next day. It’s my go to spot in Shawano for almost everything…… except groceries.

I went to this place once and will not go back again! I was looking at the plants outside with my service dog and a woman who works there started talking NOT to me but to my service dog! The employee was coming toward me NOT to ask me if there was any I would like help with buying but she was coming up to me because she was talking to my service dog and trying to PET my service dog. My service dog was clearly labeled with 5 signs that read the following WORKING Do Not PET DO NOT Distract Service Dog. Psychiatric Service Dog. When I told her Do Not pet my service dog she said why does it bite? I said NO Because she is a service dog! She left without saying another word in a huff. I will not spend a single cent at a place that doesn't train their staff to respect people who have disabilities and their service dogs who assist them.

i have bought 3 chain saw here, and when i ask for a more aggressive chain i expect it, i dt need bobby telling me its only for the guys who cut trees for living, i been cutting trees when bobby was in diapers, so now i have to drive else where to buy my chains so i might as well buy everything there, some ppl i tell ya ,
