This hotel was a great place to stay! The decor was so fantastic! The rooms were clean and the breakfast was hot. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast that you would get at most hotels. Pancake maker and biscuits and gravy. They also had delicious breakfast potatoes! Pool was clean and good size for an indoor. Stays open until 11pm which is rare for a hotel these days. Very convenient for people who come and check in late in the day. Jacuzzi was hot. The price was great for a Friday night - like $40 cheaper than other hotels around the area. They also offer larger rooms with bunk beds and hide-a-beds for a great price so I can bring my whole family comfortably next time. Would definitely stay here again.

The decor is very north woods - cozy comfy and a tad rustic. Bed was very comfy, we slept great. The air conditioner also worked well which added to the peaceful nights sleep we both enjoyed. Bathrooms are tiny but well appointed. Good size fridge, microwave, and kruig coffee maker in room too. Decent TV with easy to use guide/menu. Pool and hot tub were excellent - absolutely my fave feature. Breakfast could have been better but considering how reasonable the room rate was, I won't complain at all about that (the coffee was very good though). Ample free parking and very close freeway access. Bottom line for me is I have paid a lot more for a lot less, and I will definitely book here again if staying in the area.

Downside: The room was okay, the tv was on a table lower than the bed and half the channels didn't work. Bar was a cash bar and not a large selection. Upside: Pool and hot tub was great and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and coffee was hot!Walking distance to food and stores. For the price I would definitely stay again.Walkability: There is a grocery store and restaurants walking distance to the hotel.

The hotel room overall is super nice we got the club house room with the whirlpool. The room was clean and nice, In the shower there's not much space and not good pressure. The room is cozy feels like a cabin.Overall the pool and hot tub area was nice, but the pool was very cold. And could use more seating areas. The service was okay nice friendly but poor english hard to understand. Breakfast.. eggs burnt probably the worst eggs i have had, they have a waffle maker but only one line gets pretty long.Breakfast area really small. they have food at the hotel we order a pizza for 10 dollars it was super sad and cold. didn't even eat it. overall really cozy place, but there's better options around.

The hotel is easy to get to off of the interstate. The rooms are decent, nothing fancy but had everything that we needed and was clean. The pool and whirlpool area was really nice! The pool was nice and warm and the whirlpool was very large. There is also pool, air hockey and foosball in the pool area for a small fee and a room of a few arcade games outside of the pool area. The lobby was nice with coffee with flavored creamer and some cookies available all the time. The breakfast was nice…sausage patties, egg circles and waffles for warm items. I would suggest to add another waffle maker to cut down on the wait time when it is busy as well as instructions listed for it for those that don’t know how to use them. They are very clear at check in to report how many guests that you have. It is $10 to add someone in comparison to $150 if you don’t report them so better to just be honest. Overall, I would definitely stay again with my family.

Our family loves coming here! The rooms are nice and clean! The hot tub is my favorite part. We can be in the hot tub and still look into the pool to watch the kids. I love that they have a pool table and air hockey game in the pool room to!Breakfast is good, lots of options 😋They have snacks and frozen pizza which is awesome! And the dryer is free so you can dry your suits before you pack them. Also the front entrance has few cookies and coffee all the time!

A misunderstanding on dates was my fault which the owners smoothly handled, thumbs up! The room was clean but a little tired. The area, which is not easy to see on google maps, somewhat industrial was not what we expected having never been to the area. Fairly quiet, but then we stayed there mid week. Typical noise from other guests in a hotel, banging doors and loud conversations in hallways, guest fault not the managements.

Staff was kind and polite, their building is next to a train yard so you'll hear their horns until about 10-11pm. Children were not kept in control and were running through the halls several times, causing our dog to bark alot. We didn't get to try the pool because a child couldn't hold it and pooped in the pool, causing a shut down of the pool until it was cleaned. The hot tub was good, but again children not supervised and were splashing and climbing the rock wall even though there is a sign saying do not climb. Complimentary breakfast was okay.. decent assortment of foods but eggs were consistently overcooked and biscuits were close to stale. Plenty of things to do around Wausau and cable TV always had something interesting to watch.

The room was very nice & very clean when we checked in. There were a few issues - the elevator didn't work one of the days; I didn't know that I had to request that the room be cleaned so it wasn't cleaned during our stay & there was no hot water one of the days. While I like the hotel & have stayed there in the past with none of the above issues, I am not so sure I will return.Rooms: The room was a nice size and very clean when we checked in. I also like that it is a non-smoking hotel so the room smelled fresh and had no unpleasant odor.Nearby activities: Easy access to hiking, skiing and other outdoor sports.Food & drinks: Wausau is a very close drive and has lots of very nice restaurants.

Went for my son's wedding...check in was smooth but the next day friends and family came I was told I had to pay 10$ per person that came in my room...basically no entertaining guest in room!! Your supposed to entertaining your guests in the lobby!! Breakfast wasn't the best either....Rooms were nice but instead of honoring the price the advertised they kept you at the higher rate!! When we checked in the rooms were 80$ ...they still charged use 141$ per night...Nearby activities: Stores are close and restaurants

The staff is always very kind and helpful. The log cabin theme of the hotel is very cute but unfortunately the whole place is very much past it's prime that most of the decor is looking very worn out. The main surfaces of the rooms are clean and the bed was nice. As with most log decor it's hard to keep looking clean and fresh. The room as a whole looked dingy and really could go for a deep clean. The was also a very odd smell to the room which may have been from the cleaning products used, I couldn't quiet tell. The most disappointing part was spending extra for a whirlpool suite and the whirlpool tub couldn't hold water for us to even enjoy it. If you stay on a weekend expect to hear your neighbors clearly as well as the rooms are not very sound proof and you can hear things in the hall well. We've enjoyed staying here several times in the past so it's disappointing to see things become worn down enough that it was no longer enjoyable for us.

Not a place for multiple nights. Get in, sleep, move on (maybe).Staff is surly and unable to realize basic requests. We had 3 rooms, for 3 nights. A total tab over $1000. We were there for a funeral.Never once got our rooms cleaned or beds made despite 1) asking and 2) being promised it would happen 3) following up. Towels were available, but no coffee refills, cups or even sheets reset on the beds.Breakfast is really not edible. Basic breads (toast, bagel, english muffin) seem benign but there was a bucket of grey objects next to the powdered eggs that none of us (nor others) could agree were potatoes or sausage.On our last night, one room had leakage through the ceiling (probably toilet or bath tub leakage). It took an hour to get a front desk response, then they were surprised when we didn't want to sleep there.There are plenty of great hotels right in the vicinity, HGI, Courtyard, Holiday Inn. No reason to put up with this attitude, incompetence or health risks.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The pool water was a little on the cool side hard to swim in it maybe because it was so cold outside. The hot tub was excellent. It felt really good for continental breakfast. It wasn’t bad. The staff was very friendly, we stayed there the night of January 14 to the 15th. The next morning we woke and had breakfast checked out by 11 went to start. The car in the car would not Start, the nice gentleman at the front desk said he had a jumpstarter , We tried for about an hour to get the car started and it just wouldn’t work. I wanted to thank the staff and this man at front Desk for doing the best to help me out.My son and I stayed in the lobby on the couch next to the warm fireplace until a jumpstart service could come. Started so we could get home safely. I would stay here again it was a nice atmosphere, warm and comfortable. And very friendly staff. Keep up the great work.Rooms: The room and thebed were comfortable. Got a great night sleep.

Stayed 3 days for our 34th Anniversary. It was not a pleasant 3 days as far as the accommodations.1. A train goes by 2 to 3 times a day.2. The hot tub was dirty and half of the jets did not work. On top of that as your sitting there in wet swim suits they come and open side door to clean the patio in December with a hose leaving door partially to fully open.3. The heater in the room was very noisy for the first minute or so before it would blow heat.4.. Hot water taking a shower or washing up I turned the hot all the way on and the water was warm but by no means hot.5. The breakfast was nothing like it showed on signs as you go into room.Very disappointed when your looking to relax.

Was here for a wedding. The room was somewhat small, but the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. The gift at check-in was a nice touch. The wedding reception was held here, and the food was plentiful and very tasty. The beef was especially delicious. We also enjoyed the breakfasts. I liked that the choices were different on both mornings. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Online, Stoney creek appears to have the uniqueness of an Airbnb…but in reality appearances are chincy and fake. Shower only gets tepid. Hotel located basically on top of chemical plant (smoggy air). Claims to have bar…but no trained bartender. Desk clerk runs bar and couldn’t differentiate red wine from white wine nor pronounce any of the wines. Manager was rude and hateful. Room keys were turned off an hour and a half before check out time. Breakfast was warmed up frozen foods and burned at that. Keep going to find better accommodations.Walkability: Grocery store and restaurants in walking distance.

The rooms are nice , we had the suite that had fire place , hot tub and just well setup. The staff were accommodating there was pretty decent breakfast in the mornings. The pool was great as well as the hot tub. Plus in the pool room there is a pool table as well as air hockey. They offer bikes to rent and have a nice little bar area I would definitely recommend.Rooms: Great setup and quietNearby activities: Movie theaterWalkability: With your stay you can rent a bike or walk to the movies , Dennys and other stores and restaurants.Food & drinks: Couple of nearby restaurants

So, first the positive things. The staff was wonderful, they where very efficient and willing to help. The themeing of the whole hotel was very good, and the decor was very amusing, the king suite was very spacious and well designed, but there where some noticeable issues. Primarily the whirlpool was strangely unclean, that is to say that the water was somewhat brown and filmy, and the shower also wasn't completely clean. The bed was also more uncomfortable that even could be expected from a hotel bed.In conclusion it is a good hotel, it simply has some issues. I would definitely suggest it as good, just some issues that hampered my stay.
