VERY UNSATISFIED WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, 3 OLDER WOMEN THAT WORK AND RUN THE STORE, SENA FOR ONE , THEY ARE INTIMATING AND RUDE, YOU DO NOT DARE TO ASK FOR HELP FINDING AN ITEM THEY GIVE YOU A SOUR LOOK AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE PUTTING THEM OUT, NEVER A GOOD EXPERIANCE, SHELVES ARE UNSTALKED AND THE PLACE IS A TOTAL FILTHY MESS! I WAS FORCED TO GO BACK TO WAL MART AND THAT IS NOT SAYING MUCH! MANY PEOPLE IN RICE LAKE FEEL THE SAME, GET BETTER AND FRIENDLIER EMPLOYEES!

The staff is very crabby if they have to help someone. Went in today and a poor older lady needed help . She mentioned she never used on before. The employee was very rude to her along with others checking out.

I've only been in there twice and both times left muttering "never again"! Surly woman finally showed up when I had a self check out problem ..and found when I got to Aldi's that I'd way overpaid for my "bargain" stop.

The employees seriously have issues. Me and my sister were there yesterday and could hear all 3 women huddled near their back room complaining about the fact we were shopping their clearance event with an added sale. You’d think the money came directly out of their pocket. I understand the job is horrible but even as I talked to the mgr about how clean the store was (most you can’t even walk through) she said hmmpf well apparently I didn’t do a good enough job. Then I could hear her telling her co workers about it. Petty and spiteful at a work place 24 7 means you need a new job.

Filthy place. Isles are a mess and nothing but self checkouts. Employees talk to customers like they are employees being “trained” 😆lots of freight on pallets with a lot of empty shelves. Definitely not going back.

I love the convenience of this store and I’m typically able to get everything I need. However, the staff of this particular location are very rude, not only to customers but also to each other, and I’ve seen it on multiple occasions. I understand that everyone has a bad day now and then, and that we all get tired and cranky. But it’s so inappropriate and uncomfortable to see people take out their bad day on the people around them. I will likely not be spending my money at this location in the near future.

It’s pretty well stocked and cleaned for being an older building. We stocked up on drinks and snacks for a drive through rural Minnesota and everything seemed to be well rotated with no expired food products. The cashier was surprisingly chipper and helpful. Seemed to be some loitering fellows outside that made a few of us rather uncomfortable.

The staff is super friendly. However, it is pretty packed inside. Getting around the merchandise can be a little difficult for the the elderly.

I live nearby and go to this place frequently because the prices are good. But I am always disappointed in the way the staff handles customers. I have never been greeted kindly upon entering or leaving the store, the staff barely acknowledge the customers, and today I was rudely told I could not enter an aisle (in September) because it was closed off so she could set Christmas, despite the fact that what I was looking for was down that aisle. I'm not sure when setting Christmas merchandise up 3 months early was made more important than a making a sale, but that actually (unfortunately) didn't even surprise me to hear because I have grown used to being treated that way here. I was disappointed and will have to find what I was looking for elsewhere. I give them 2 stars only for their good prices. Zero stars for their customer service.

*EDIT*If you like stores that dont put away their stock and leave it laying around the store, bad service, and rude employees you should come hereI love the prices but I've had bad service at the counter with the cashiers not being considerate, chatting with coworkers or significant others while I'm trying to check out. Lots of carts with things needing to be put on the shelves just sitting around. Displays are messy and unorganized. Could be much better.

I live near by this store so I am here quite often for last minute forgotten things. always had what I was looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Store is clean and well kept compared to some other DG I have been at. I very much recommend this DG 😊

Nice place to go to walk around and pick up things you never knew you needed. I found some cheap gems here! I like the way it is organized as well. Usually I'm out with a bill of around $15 and plenty of good products.

Very clean and organized store. Staff is clearly on top of their game with organizing sections. Easy to find items I want and quick easy shopping trip for me. Will stop in again if I am in the area.

I go here because I hate other stores with a passion. Usually I can find what I need in a pinch at a decent price. Buyer beware for foodstuffs - some is in that gray area where it's not too good but sometimes you by something amazing!

Just, came, for a couple, things. I did, notice, the times, I have, been, there, one of the lights , flickering, I had to, go, because, I can't take that, It, will ,put me in, a full blown, sezures. I told, the, cashier, She, told, me, I'll, get to it, when, she, gets, to it. I told, her, about, my medical, condition. She, didn't, ask for, anybody, to fix it, But, no luck. I paid, for my, stuff, and got out.

Never enough staff and you usually wait in line for 10 minutes to check out. They are not friendly at all! Once I called to check on an item and the person that answered said they didn't know and didn't even offer to go and check!!

This particular store in Rice Lake always seems dirty and has things out of place. The staff treats everyone like criminals but they have good deals at times.

Staff needs to work on the way they greet people when checking out, need better organization, not like other dollar generals I've been in but prices are good and usually has everything I need.

Pretty cluttered at entrance, shelves not restocked well so wasn't able to find alot of my coupon items and the ones I did find I had to search the overstock piled on the top shelves

I always find what I need at the Rice Lake Dollar General. This visit was no different. My only complaint, there were 2 or 3 young kids, racing in carts, and VERY noisy.

This is a horrible store I worked there and I got kicked out of the store today all because I got a new job with better opportunities I don't really know what to say except for they definitely need a new manager and they need to keep the store cleaner and more organized

This is a nice store to drop in when I don't have the time to go to Wal-Mart.. It has selected groceries and other unique items!!
