Usually a pretty clean store from what I can tell, have not had any issues with staff or management being rude at this particular location, which already makes this dollar general better than most. They don't leave their merchandise and carts all over the place like all the rest of the dollar general's, in fact I've always seen the staff here working very hard to make sure everything gets put away between customers. It's a pity the company doesn't pay these people more, because I'm sure the staff here would be a lot more willing to stay long term if the pay was actually a living wage. You shouldn't have to work more than one job to live in your town.

The customer service is pretty awful here. Some of the employees are good but most are down right rude. The pricing is always screwed up, always. And they dont care. If its on a sale dont even bother, its not gonna come up right in the system. I try to avoid going here simply because of the rude customer service, but its just so handy here in a small town.

I shop here often...great prices and friendly associates!! We as shoppers need to be more patient. This store as many others are having trouble getting workers, so the associates that are working are often very busy. Just ask for help and they will help you!

I'm 49 and used to buy my smokes here on a regular basis. Yesterday the cashier asked for my ID, I told him I didn't have it and I got a lecture on how I should always carry it and he refused to sell me cigarettes. I won't set foot in this store again.

The store manager was to busy talking to her employee to help me to get on the dollar store application for theon line coupon for five dollar when you spend 25 dollars or more. So end up spending over fifty. Very poor customer service. I will not return! I used to shop there but I will be going to another store for now on! Just take a little time to help your customers!

Dollar General is a nice place to go. If has alot of items in there you can choose from. Very friendly , good customer services. I recommend this place for lower prices and very convenient.

Very clean store. Nice cashier. Thought it was a little weird that the $5 packs of socks had security tags on them, but I guess if it's a problem, it's a problem. ;)

I love shopping at the Dollar General in Pittsville. I was there today and the air conditioner didn't seem to be working right it was awfully warm.
