Mini and I enjoy each other's company wherever we go whether riding a boat at work, long hikes in the woods, or during tracking classes on Sunday mornings. Mini has been the perfect puppy. Thanks to Shannon and the rest of the great folks at Rescue Gang.Ken

Meredith & a trainer Holly, the volunteers...they ALL HAVE HUGE HEARTS & are phenomenal! Thank you for answering ALL my questions about the stray I found, doing ALL you can to help me navigate & your time & patience with all you face on the daily.I am grateful you care & do things I can't, but together, we try our best to make these animals have a life they deserve. Thank you so much.

We adopted all 3 of our dogs from Rescue Gang, 1 in January, 1 in March and a 3rd in September 2022. They are all great dogs and were being fostered by a great woman who puts animals 1st. Thank you Shannon and Milwaukee Rescue gang! This is an update in Sept 2023, we love our dogs and really appreciate Shannon and Rescue Gang!

We LOVED our experience with Rescue Gang! We had an amazing foster couple come to our home for a home visit and immediately fell for Steven. Safe to say we are obsessed with him. Thank you for all you do!!

We had a seamless process adopting Benny. Adoption application was processed promptly. Rescue Gang was transparent and quick to respond about dogs we were interested in and if they were still available. They had me in contact with Benny’s foster mom quickly after I inquired about him. Nicole was a great foster mom. She came with Benny and spent time at our home to ensure the dogs saftey. We adopted him the very next day! She checked in on us to make sure things were going okay. He came up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered with instructions on how to register his microchip. I could go on and on. We are very happy with our experience and I think Benny is loving his new fur-ever home.

I adopted an ESA dog that was advertised as healthy. His cancer and heart care have cost me over $15,000 in the first year. He is not covered by insurance because this was pre-existing. Monthly costs will be $700-1500+

Edit to owner: YOU DID NOT disclose BITE history. YOU failed me because you wanted the dog out of foster because you kept having to provide for it. So pawn it off on someone else. If you wanted to find a suitable home you would have disclosed that to the potential owner.l and made sure they understood the severity of the dog’s condition. So keep trying to feel good about yourself by putting the blame on someone else. At least I feel safe now and you’re welcome for your donation. Was told a dog was shy and fearful. And I was determined to help her. Spent hundreds of dollars to help the dog and was told that I’m the problem. Will never trust a rescue that is so MONEY HUNGRY. Absolutely pitiful to lure people in for money. You all are so heartless.

I got my new friend from Rescue Gang. The process was easy for me, the staff was wonderful. Now I have my new best friend. He follows me everywhere, he's my shadow. He's very smart and gentle. I can't thank them enough.

What an absolutely wonderful experience we had with our adoption. We live over an hour away, but our new puppy's foster mom worked with us to be able to bring her home over the weekend. The process was thorough and centered on the well being of the puppy. I can't say enough how happy we are with this organization!

I recently picked up a rescue (verna) from the rescue gang. I can't thank them enough for finding my new partner in life. What the people who volunteer and work with rescue gang, they are truly a selfless bunch of caring people who put great value in the life's of pets. I still can't be thankfully enough for these people and thier introduction to me and my partner. So my message to the folks reading. If you are looking for a forever pet or pets, please give rescue gang a chance. I won't regret going to them.

I was disappointed, there's a dog that I wanted and I felt like the foster family has too much control over who gets to adopt a dog and depending upon the environment that the dog is already in A person doesn't know if they're bringing in more of a problem because the foster home doesn't have any discipline for their pets. I also feel like the fees are insane in comparison to other rescues so I probably won't use them ever again.

Appropriate the mission of course. However, had the worst experience with this shelter. Dog was available and we applied. My landlord was contacted and i got a call from the shelter saying i was approved for the dog. I was looking forward to go pick her up, and then no response at all. I called and was told someone else got the dog ? How would you do that after you approved me for the dog ?Seems like someone that works here get it to someone they know. I wanted to rescue a dog and not go to a breeder but i see now why breeders are everywhere. Will be going to the breeder route

I adopted a pup from Rescue Gang in April 2019. It was an incredibly positive experience. Everything went really smoothly and the foster family was the sweetest. I’ve recently interacted with them for another pup that ultimately wasn’t a good fit for our family, but again, a great experience. Their volunteers are wonderful. Keep up the good work!

We just adopted our new family member, a border collie. 2 yrs old, smarter than me, which isnt a great accomplishment. Been with us 3.5 days and its like he's been here for years. Given free run of our house immediately. Great with our other furry children. Foster family did an unbelievable job.

I am Fostering dogs from them and am pressed with how much time, energy and money goes into this Rescue to make sure that their dogs are healthy when they get adopted. The variety of breeds and ages from puppies to seniors keeps me learning new information about the various breeds, what medical issues to be aware of and teaching them to sleep in a kennel and house training. And adjusting to being treated well.

Prices are absolutely ridiculous. As I struggle to take my foot from my mouth I look to find a way to change my rating. Even the Humane Society does not offer everything posted below. I sincerely apologize for my hastily posted review. Everything a first vet check would do is basically covered here. Nice to get it all over with in one place.

Our sweet baby dig came so dehydrated, the NEXT day we took to the vet for his visit. An iv would not have been enough. They had to put in a needle and push water in thru his back to get right in the system. It was heart breaking. He also came not drinking water. We got a behavioral therapist and tried EVERYTHING. Thank goodness mommy knew to add water to every meal. And break them down so he'd get enough.Mainly the prob is this...it was our own 1st dog together. The foster mom came. Sar down. Didn't look around and tried quickly for us to sign the paperwork. Of course! I loved him. Little did we know he was deathly afraid of men. Things got so bad. I cry everyday. He wasn't able to be removed w all the surgeries he needed. And I took him to the vet where it felt like my life ended.I cry everyday. I'm glad he got all my love. I gave up my job to help him and be w him due to his severe stress. Still am glad I did that. Anything for my baby. Seems rescue gang is being more honest since this. So hopefully no one will suffer like we did!!!!

We got our dog from Rescue Gang and they were so helpful in the whole process. We were interested in another dog at first, but he was already spoken for. They recommended us to look at Moxie and she ended up being the perfect fit. The foster family that had her met with us and did an assessment on our house. Very professional!

Amazing rescue run by people passionate about saving animals. Ryan, the rescues founder is one of the most dedicated people I've ever meet. My family and I adopted our dog from them and he was always available to answer questions and or address any behavioral concerns. He is amazing

Rescue Gang has rescued over 200 dogs in the few years since opening their doors. I encourage everyone to stop by and visit the facility ans drop off some donations. All animals go to foster homes who are a loving group of volunteers.Very many wonderful people dedicated to rescuing homeless animals, thank you so much for caring about those that humans abandoned, you are the best. Please consider being part of something wonderful and apply to volunteer to foster rescue dogs, rescue gang provides everything that you will need, all you have to do is provide the dog a loving home until they get adopted.

Can’t say enough good things about rescue gang! They are absolutely amazing and don’t swindle you around, they only work with one family at a time when considering adoption. Ollie’s foster mom Andrea was absolutely amazing and even accommodated keeping him for a little longer.

UPDATED: I got my dog trained through Ryan and he has REALLY helped my dog and I.You won’t regret it.My dog has off leash freedom because of Ryan’s help. He was an “easier case” for Ryan (basic and advanced obedience), but it really helped my relationship with my dog. I have researched all types of training but I felt that Ryan’s training program was what was best for my dog in helping him (my dog) gain his freedom. Thanks Ryan!————————-Old review:Ryan is amazing guy. So many people posting fake reviews and trying to tear down his rescue and business. I see the dogs he saves through his rescue and through his training program. So many dogs he saves from Texas. He pulls all the stops.

Our family was in the market for a dog. We knew we wanted to adopt from a rescue. We started researching the rescues in May of 2018. We were in no hurry. We put in applications with 4 local rescue organizations. Two organizations wanted us to pick out a dog based on a picture and description. One never even called or emailed us for nearly six weeks.Rescue Gang was responsive and patient with us. We completed their application. They allowed us to connect with volunteer fosters that had more than one dog. Fate had it that one such volunteer was fostering a female with her puppies. We spent over an hour there playing with all the puppies, the volunteers answering all of our questions, offering more insight on each puppies personality in order to find our family the right fit. The process went smooth and was more thorough than I could have imagined. It was perfect for our family. It was exactly what we needed as first time dog owners. They even came to our home to ensure we were ready to have a dog and gave us some great pointers about setting up our home for the new puppy. We even used Rescue Gang Dog Training private one on one lessons not because we were having any aggression issues, but because we wanted to be responsible dog owners. We wanted to prevent any issues from occurring. We had a wonderful experience and couldn’t be happier with our dog.

We have been searching for some time and doing our research and through Adopt A Pet website search service found a great dog Oscar. So same day filled out the application and sent it in. I expected maybe 3-4 days an email or call to follow up based on the list of requirements they had. So after a week I was getting worried that I'd loose the dog so I emailed them directly asking for status or anything. NO Response So we saw they had another great dog Oreo and figured we might want to filled another application for him because it look like something was wrong. The site said Applications Pending so we thought ok they might just be slow. Then Oreo was no longer posted and still after 2-3-4 emails directly to them asking what's up-Nothing. Then I saw Oscar was gone with still no answer or call or bug off. I feel maybe they are just picking from people they know or from Facebook and other families that are willing to make the investment and time and plenty of love to care for a pet is disappointing. We recently lost our Pug and was trying to find our dog Buddy a friend and a new start. Someone would be with the dog all day long and just loved. I just want people to know that this is a horrible feeling to not even be emailed or a text saying the dog is going to someone else. My hope is for the pets to find a good home and I'll go to another shelter directly versus waiting for someone to not respond.

This rescue goes above and beyond to save puppies and dogs of all ages that would have been euthanized. The selfless board members and staff that volunteer countless hours have hearts of gold and only the purest intentions! Thank all of you wonderful beings for all you do! ✌🏻🐶🐩 🐕‍ 🐕💜 Also, a huge shout out for all the wonderful people that donate to this amazing organization!
