I love going to silver lake county store, they have everything we need at reasonable prices. I get all my garden plants and seeds there as well as animal food, bedding, and straw / hay. The people running the store are very kind and polite. I recently had rotater cuff surgery, and the ladies there helped load stra bales for me. I highly recommend silver lake county store.

Haven't stopped at this store in a while but will definitely be back for my dogs food. Decent prices and friendly customer service. It's also nice to shop local instead of a large chain store.

Very friendly staff. They even remember my name each time I go there which just makes it feel more welcoming. The selection of actual healthy pet food (not the cheap junk sold at places like walmart) is great. Prices are a little steep, but you get what you pay for.

We were in search of bird seed and we heard they had a good selection and reasonable prices. Staff was easy to chat with made us feel welcome. Can't quite figure out the negative reviews. They checked all the boxes when we visited.

I was really impressed with the store. When I first became interested in organic soil, I found out they have all the ingredients that I needed for it, including many varieties of soil amendments and earthworm castings.I was also impressed with the dog food selection. Many of the best dog foods are available here for a fair price. Since learning they carry my dog's food, I no longer have to order it online. When I wanted to try my dogs on a new food, the women who worked here were knowledgeable and had great recommendations. They were also able to help me select food for my cat, who has special needs.I brought my mom here when she was visiting from out of town because they have a great selection of trees and plants in their greenhouse. My mother bought some fruit trees and flowers, and they're all thriving a year later!I highly recommend this store!

I don't get here regularly. But when I do I bring my dog and she loves it. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of healthy pet foods and treats that they stand behind and are knowledgeable on.

I stop here every month and get two large bags of dog food. Service is typically good although like most places there's always a new person it seems. Only suggestion is that if you don't have enough people to help carry stuff out to the car maybe invest in a small cart that your customers can use to transport their things out if there is no one available to help. I have no complaint doing it myself but I do not like making multiple trips back and forth. This is the first time it happened and I was told you are short staffed. Small conveniences like a utility cart is how I feel you can keep your customers in mind during the obstacles of staffing.

My husband and I have enjoyed coming here for the better part of 3 years now, they carry a huge variety, and supply of animal products, from food too toys,and health and maintenance products.And an absolutely wonderful staff, very polite,Happy individuals. And knowledgeable of the products they offer. And always able to answer any questions we may have.Highly recommend stopping in and seeing for yourself.

After waiting for ten minutes being ignored by the person watering plants, I finally yelled to get her attention. She threatened to call the cops on me. I WAS a long time customer and spent over $100 there each and every month for years. Ignore the customer. Disrespect the customer. Threaten the customer. Good business method. Never ever going back. Telling all my dog owner friends and every person I know.

As if prices haven't gone up enough since Scenic Valley Coop took over, now they tack on a 3% fee on your entire order for using a card. I guess Colonial isn't the expensive pet store in town anymore.... it's Silver Lake. Check out Colonial for cheaper pet products! They use the same suppliers and carry many of the same products. Will order what you want if it isn't there! SLCS isn't what it used to be anymore.....

They always have the right products, for my giant dill Atlantic pumpkins. From the right npk granular fertilizers. To organic such as blood meals etc. Friendly and smiling staff. There location is perfect distance from my big garden too. So is not a long drive. Looking forward to another great season. And if you need, and should get,, a soil test, they do that to.

This is a great little store on the west edge of Manitowoc. When you walk in the door, you will be most likely greeted by a friendly cat or dog. This is where I get my bedding plants in the spring. They have bulk garden seeds, onion and potato sets. Need a fruit tree or a grape vine, or rhubarb plant? Here's where you get them. Their plants are always fresh and grow well. Pet and agricultural supplies are also available. I am always tempted by the baby chicks, especially the Australorps. Our city allows us to have three chickens. We love fresh eggs; but what do two ovo-lacto vegetarians do with intelligent, affectionate chickens when they stop laying? Friendly, helpful people who are willing to give the tips you need to be a successful gardener. The only time they failed me was when I was looking for dolomitic limestone. Other than that, I believe this is the best place in the Manitowoc area to get your gardening supplies. Don't forget to pet the cat or the two dogs. They live for affection.

Love that place. My go to for my wild animal feed and certain seeds that I need to support my land. I wish they had a mask policy but that is their decision. Be careful!
