This Menards location is awesome. On multiple occasions I have received help from very professional and knowledgeable employees. The selection of goods for sale here is quite impressive as well. I’ve seen some pretty good grocery sales lately. This is a great store for your hardware needs and has some other good stuff too.

Rented an orbital sander to sand unfinished floors to have it leave Big scratches over the entire floor. Went back two days later and rented another sander to try to fix it and it made it worse. Was told sorry by the managers and reimbursed me For one rental which was $40 and one can of stainI now have to spend a few thousand dollars to have someone else redo it and all I got was I’m sorry. Will not spend another dime at that store again we have spent thousands of dollars over the last few months at Menards and this is the thanks we get.Customer service is not their strong suit I will make sure all of my contractor friends go elsewhere

I was in your Manitowoc location today and watched a lady that was using one of the buggies who had a broken foot or something on crutches carry out three big bags of stuff while two of your workers just stared and never offered to help her. They watched her struggling, and then continue to talk to each other asking if they would ever use one of the buggies to get around very rude to not offer someone help

Plumbing department is a nightmare. The display of faucet repair cartridges is a total mess. They have hooks for sample ones, they are bare hooks mostly. Pat should not be allowed to be anywhere there are paying customers, her attitude is very poor. Painful and pitiful.

I almost always find what I'm looking for here, and there's always a helpful employee to point me in the right direction when I can't do it on my own. The 11% rebate days are the best thing since chocolate milk

A big store with lots of do it yourself products for every room in your home. The employees are really friendly. Their outside area with all their gardening products is a lot of fun. The employees who work in the paint area are pretty helpful. There's also a lot of fun summer items for kids, like yard, pool, and beach toys. They carry products for pets, too.

This is a mixed review. On Sunday, December 18, around 2 o’clock I went to the service desk to return a second shovel. I couldn’t find the receipt. Didn’t have the receipt in the computer. I don’t remember if I paid cash. The young lady at the desk with long hair was very nice. She asked the floor supervisor behind her about what she do when I don’t have a receipt. That floor supervisor had the gall to say we don’t even carry that shovel in the store. Then the nice girl, had to let her know she already scanned it and it was their product. As if. Then the floor supervisor said I’ll go look at the tapes and brought out a video capture of me exchanging the first shovel. I said, did you look for the second shovel that I purchased the same day at the checkout?. She was rude. Made me feel like a thief. Just saying it again, the young lady with long dark hair at the cash register was wonderful. It was the floor manager, young lady, with glasses and blondish hair. That was very rude and accusatory, mouthy and terrible at customer service. In the end, I got store credit that I wanted. That floor supervisor should NOT be in that position and be reminded about customer service.

I worked there for 6 months, was fired over a simple mistake, that I told my manager about and that I would pay for the mistake, wasn't good enough for the GM, fired me for that even though it was a first infraction. Wouldn't recommend that place for anyone to work. I also feel I was being discriminated against for my handicap, again the GM made it a terrible place to work.

I needed help after 5 guys said they could help. I ask the smiley face worker name Tabitha and without a word just some hand movements, She Walk us to everything we needed and actually to time and listened. For Pick-up: Regardless of in-store or outdoor (mulch, pavers) pick-up, always use the back entrance (2nd) as it saves you time by providing close parking and direct help desk access. No need to walk through the store.Also, I recommend that the customer supervise the order count of paver goods, etc. Otherwise, it could be a trip back to the store for you.

As usual, went there for parts for a project I was working on. I was helped rite away. Sometimes however, I do like to just browse sometimes, and not be asked 25 times if I need help. But in general I like when I need to go there. Always something cool to check out!

We spent $818 on a 7x7 DuraMax shed. We assembled it according to manufacturer instructions, and it was damaged in the first thunderstorm after purchase from the high winds. Menards won't let us return it and said we have to submit a claim through our home insurance. Sadly, our home insurance doesn't cover these sheds, and the manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover storm damage. So if you buy one of these sheds and it's damaged in a storm, you're out whatever amount of money you spent on it. Good luck if the shed lasts even one year as they are quite flimsy.Menards is getting a low star rating not only because we can't return the shed but also because of the way the employee spoke to me on the phone when I called about it. No empathy, no apology, just telling me that it was my loss. The interaction left a sour taste in my mouth. It looks like we'll be shopping at Lowe's from now on.

Their merchandising continually sucks. Similar products are often not stocked together; one item will be on the opposite side of store from similar item. Poorly organized.

I’ve started shopping more and more at Lowe’s. An old friend (male) told me to give Menards another shot because he is so happy with them.Last night BEFORE 7pm I called and asked for an order to be ready for pick up by 10 am the next day.I was told no problem. It was three items but several of each item.4 hinges- I told him the number20 posts- I told him the number16 fence panels-I told him the numberWhen I called at 9 AM they said there was no problems and everything was fine. Crew shows up at 9:30 to pick up items. Nothing has been pulled but the four hinges!!!!I am now three hours behind on this job AND have to pay for the labor because of Menards and their failure to do what they said they would. NOTHING but the hinges were pulled!!!!My guys had to do it all!I am now very upset and am headed to other stores because of the lack of decent customer service and respect for women at Menards.An ongoing issue when we order anything!!!

I like the store and its prices. What I DON'T like is the non customer-friendly check out stations. Customer service used to be KING. Not any more. A clerk starts ringing u up without even a courteous hello, and has her back to you throughout the process. Turn yourself around and please acknowledge me, the paying customer.

Menards always has great things in stock. They have lumber, painting supplies, tools, etc. They have a large selection of everything construction related you could need. The staff is always nice and efficient. There are sometimes mail in rebates you have to do to get the discounted price. It is sometimes a pain to mail in the rebate and wait for the money back. However, it’s not too big a hassle. Overall it’s a great store.

Saw everyone wearing masks and keeping space between customers. Found things we needed and had handicapped parking in front of the doors. 11% off to be used with another shopping trip is always nice.

Came in to buy an air hammer. They had 10 of them, but the associate loaded them all in a cart and refused to give me one because she was fulfilling an online order. These had not been purchased yet. It's only once the associate takes them off the shelf and to the back that they have been purchased. I was disappointed in the service I received in this situation. The associate barely acknowledged me and quickly headed off with the black friday deal I'd specifically come to purchase. No regard for the customer.

Unimpressed. Your store was very warm so we went to the lawn and garden area(outside) and took masks off just to be able to breathe. One of your employees yelled my wife to put her mask back on, even though there wasn’t anyone near where we stood. Needless to say we left without any of our items. There are more ways to approach someone especially if you have no ideas there health struggles.

They have plenty of products and a good selection. Generally speaking the things you buy here are quality. In addition, there are a few employees who are nice and knowledgeable. The unfortunate thing is that there are a lot of employees here who are not very friendly. I was just in today and the employee at the customer service counter should be in a training video of what not to do in customer service. Long story short, I will take my business to the local Lowe’s or Fleet Farm. I’ll even drive to Sheboygan to go to Home Depot before coming back here. I’ve had too many negative experiences here and this was the last one I’ll stand to take. I pay money for the products and service, not poor attitudes and judgment.

It was a bit challenging to find someone to get something off the top shelf. No one at the designated desk nor could I find a callbox. Luckily I found a young man in hardware/tools who was very friendly and helpful! I will definitely look for him again if I need assistance!!

Went in to look into buying paint. I understood that they were closing shortly but wanted to see what I could do. Instead of the lady at the paint counter asking how she could help me, she was rude and said in a very snotty tone "we are closing in 10 minutes!" If she would have kindly said that she would help me find what I'm looking for but I may have to come back tomorrow to finish or purchase I would have been totally okay with that. Instead she just wanted to belittle me for not knowing exactly what I needed...this is why I was asking and didn't go grab it myself. I wish I caught her name. I get working with the public is stressful at a time like this, but if you dont have a kind bone in your body then find another profession. Completely disgusted! I will never go there again...and its all because of one rude employee.

They require masks and it seems that they had someone near the front entrance to verify. Check their website ahead of time for current policy.The only reason they dont get 5 stars is because it did not seem like the cart handles and touch points had been cleaned or sanitized like at Lowes.Maybe just bring a Clorox wipe or something with you and do it yourself if you feel the need.

Great store for cheap groceries but lumber yard help is awful. We come here on a regular basis and every time we need lumber on the higher shelves the forklift driver is in the corner texting and doesn’t offer to help. So my husband has to take down 5-10 loads down the stairs.

Menards in Manitowoc, WI is the worse place to work at. They try to find ways to get rid of you. Make up excuses so they don't have to deal with you anymore. Supposedly you can't work two jobs cause almost any other job they see as a competitor even though their only competitors are Lowes, Fleet Farm, Walmart (yes Walmart is a competitor to Menards), Ace Hardware, and Home Depot. Supposedly any grocery store is a competitor to Menards, but yet you can work at a gas station while working at Menards. Shopping at Menards is okay, but don't ever work there. It's no wonder they keep losing employees.

I went to Menards to get railroad ties and I found someone for help right away. Very good service. I was able to go out to the lumber yard to see the price and condition of them. They were a standard tie 8 ft long. They seamed a little pricey at $10.50 a piece and they had several ties with large splits in them. Based on this I chose not to buy.

Today marks 28 days since I purchased a very basic lumber package to be delivered from a Menards store about 2.5 miles away. To this day, I have not seen so much as a splinter arrive. Was told I'd be called.....no call. Went to the store yesterday to check the status and was told they would call or email later in the day after they did some checking into it. No call....no email. I was told that there is a back up because of the Hurricanes. I stopped them right there. 1) This is Wisconsin where we have had no storm. 2) This order was placed well before Texas saw it's first drop of rain. 3) 99 percent of the items are right there on site. Having paid for these items up front and receiving nothing ,their business model rides the thin grey line between fraud and outright theft.
