My husband and I were visiting and our car wouldn’t recognize our key anymore. Marc helped us get a new key and gave us lots of great advice. Thankfully we were able to get the issue solved, and made the 2 hour drive home. He even asked us to call back and let him know if it worked, and he’d try to help us more if not. We cannot thank him enough!!!

Horrible customer service by a male teen cashier. I called asking for 3" scroll saw blades. He put me on hold for all of 2 seconds came back saying they do not have them. I didn't trust his quick response. So drove to the store to find they DO have them. This lazy kid almost cost me a trip to Green Bay. Next time I will order online and not give my store this money. I'm being nice with 1 star only because they did actually have the blades. Hope the poor service was worth the review to them.

Ace really is the place with the helpful hardware folks, I've never been disappointed when I ho in, even if I need something specific or I don't know its exact name. They will load items into your vehicle which is helpful for my 70 year old mom. Plus they sell gorgeous fresh cut trees in November, just get there as soon as they are delivered for the best selection

Rented a trencher for 24 hours this afternoon, i brought it back same day in less then 4 hours, was told could not get a partial refund. more of my complaint is the guy could barely get it started when i checked it out, when i brought it back another guy could hardly start it either, not very knowledgeable on their own equipment and not very friendly either. in the future i would be hesitant to rent any equipment

Stopped here on Father’s Day to have our propane tank filled. We were told they wouldn’t do it because they closed in 3 mins. She was very rude and we definitely won’t be doing any business here again. Nor will any of our family and friends after we told them what happened. Good luck to your business with employees like that.

I would not recommend using them as locksmiths at all. Dean came out within the hour he estimated around noon on Saturday, 6/18. That part was good. He could not pick the lock on any of the three doors, and still charged me $50. That part not so good.

A great hardware store with old-fashioned services that are hard to find these days. If you are looking for odd fasteners or parts for small products around the house, this is the place!

Needed a car door key made. Called ahead to make sure they could copy keys.Told them what type of key and the make of the car. Was told sure we can do that. So we went to the store. Got to the key counter and was told no we won’t do those keys because they are made of a harder metal. They should get their stories straight. Went to a different store and had no problem. Very very poor experience..

Small location, but the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Needed a key copy made for my Jeep, would’ve been $200 at the dealership, but was only $70 at Ace. And again, awesome staff. Good service goes a long way.

Needed new outdoor timer for Christmas lights, young man who assisted very helpful, showed me several, we reviewed the directions together and I left with a great timer. Also needed unusual s iui zero battery, brought old one along, he found the right replacement. Staff always helpful and knowledgeable 🙂

We picked up a kids wheel barrow for our grand daughter. We called first to make sure they had one in stock. The young man that took the call was very helpful. Not only did he make sure they had the wheel barrow, he brought it up front and set it aside for us.Thank-youRoger and Pauline Ostermann

DO NOT BUY A KEY FROM THIS PLACE. I order a key in august of 2020 and the guy that ordered it received the wrong key. I figured, okay we will get a new one and told them to call when it came in. It is now February 2021 and I still did not get a call from them saying my key was in. I stopped there and waited nearly an hour for someone to tell me that he didn’t know how to program my key and he told me to come back during the week before 7. I call at 6pm the following Tuesday to see if the correct person was there and he was, but he told me “oh I’m not doing this tonight you try to program a key in the dark.” I have been more than patient with them about this, but it’s just getting ridiculous at this point. It’s been 8 months and I still don’t have a key. They can keep it now. Worst customer service I have experienced in a VERY long time.

My husband and I were shopping for a new grill, and decided to purchase a Weber genisis e-335, which Ace hardware carries. First, we waited at least 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there, and another 10 for someone to wait on us. The man we spoke to knew nothing about the grill or it’s features. My husband researched this grill, so he knew that’s what he wanted to purchase. We live 7 miles from the store, and they absolutely would not wave the delivery fee because that’s their “policy”. They lost a nearly $1000 sale because of this “policy”. We left the store and went to Lowe’s and purchased the grill there. We try to support our small local businesses whenever we can, but sometimes their attitude makes it difficult to do so.

Very pet friendly store. They have great and helpful employees. You can find everything you would ever need for your pets. They also have birds, fish, turtles and many other little caged pets and everything needed to care for them. There is a grooming center there also. At certain times they immunize and have pet training offered.

This small local hardware store seems to carry items you can't find other places and the people who work here are fantastic! They are always willing to help and they go above and beyond what you will find at other stores. They'll take you right to what you need. My mother goes here all the time for things. She says, oh I'll just go over to Ace.

Went in for paint to match up to older paint. Expert got it just right. Will redo if needed. Bring in a sample of what you need for matching. ACE is the Place for sure. They can help with most everything.

I went here Sunday July 19th to have a couple keys made. The first two keys cut were so bad. Not even a fraction close to the the original (master). Not even the same type of key. Got home to test keys on my YZF600R keys wouldn't even fit....So, return trip to the store to have them remake the keys. One younger associate was paging and paging for help. Finally an older gentleman walks over but, unfortunately, he was of no assistance either.At this point the store manager emerges from the back room, right next to the 'Lockshop'.The younger guy was inquiring to the store manager about what key to use. (Don't know why, as key type is on the key.) The manager asked him if it was for a Kawasaki or Toyota. I replied, "no, it's for a Yamaha." This guy, the store manager, was arguing with me, insisting my key was not for a Yamaha but for a Toyota...Just persistent about it. I couldn't believe the nerve of this tool. I won't be returning. Ever. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Menards from now on.A successful business starts with the owners and whom they choose to run the daily operations. I can say, without a doubt, the Linders have the wrong pieces in place. There's a reason this store is rated the way it is. It starts with people. This place has some work to do.

I went to the Ace Hardware for propane. The attendant pumped in according to meter 4.15 gallons. I was charged for 4.5 gallons. Also, the rate charged was 3.99 per gallon, which I believe was way too much. I was paying half that price in North Dakota. I will be looking for another source of propane. I had no grounds to argue the amount pumped as the meter was zeroed right after the propane was pumped.

I called there the other day asking for a specific type of tool. Before I could offer more information such as an item or part number and a description what the tool did since the gal didn't seem to know what tool I was inquiring about, she clicked me on hold. Then came back and said "sorry, we don't have that here". I had to quickly say "WAIT, I know you've stocked these in the past"... I could hear her talking to another gal that also seemed confused as to what the tool was. After some research she found they had it in stock. I do believe the staff needs to walk thru thier place of business on a regular basis to know what they truly do and do not have in thier store or business. They almost lost a sale and a customer....

They're a little expensive compared to big box stores, but they always ask if they can help and have always had what I need. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Clean store. One very friendly employee. Did run into an issue of not having enough help. (The one friendly employee was trying to help most of the customers) When checking out the cashier was CCAPing someone who had stolen from them and stating" i can't believe he gave me his real name" and had to be told that she had customers. Otherwise, your average small town store.
