We stopped in for some pet treats at Nutzy Mutz and Crazy Cats.  They have some high end pet food and treats for cats and dogs.  A bit pricey, but you will NOT find any of these cool products at regular stores.Oh, and be sure to ask for free food samples.  If your pet likes it, they have loyalty programs for pet food.  If your pet doesn't like it, they will take returns, no questions asked!

The store is so great in the neighborhood! Have so many brand that other pet store does not carry. And it would be good to buy one small can wet food for my cat to try. And the price is good!

Wonderful smaller pet store with caring staff. Great high quality food options and wonderful return policy. I will always choose this location over online retailers because of the service and quality of the items in this location. They also have friendly store cats!

I love this store. They sell all our favorite brands like Fromms and Stella and Chewys. It's also clean, with well-organized displays. The owner is charitable, always donating to local rescues. It makes me feel good about shopping there, too. One more reason to shop local, my friends!

We had a wonderful experience here recently. The woman was very helpful in packing out a food for our cats since they have been having stomach issues with most foods. So far the cats are doing really well with it and the return policy is really helpful in case they end up not being able to eat it. Thank you!

Great neighborhood store with all our dog needs. Lexi loves going in there to get a treat! When we first got her they were super generous with samples of dog food to try. I feel good about shopping local and seems like the prices are not much more than big chain stores.

Nutzy Mutz offers the type of service and care that is often hard to find in our current world. Quincy remembers and recognizes our pup by name, and recently popped out of the store and onto the sidewalk to offer him a treat when we walked by. Team members are knowledgeable and helpful, always willing to assist with product selection, make recommendations, or place an order for something that is out of stock. Additionally, in the past, Liz even helped me find a winter-related product at other (non Nutzy Mutz) pet stores in the area when hers were out of stock and we had some severe winter weather on the way. Can't recommend Nutzy Mutz highly enough for anyone with a four-legged friend in your family.

Super friendly, knowledgeable staff, extra lovey black store cat (and sometimes a rooster), great products, and chill atmosphere! I can always find something to treat my furry friends and they often have something fun to treat myself with. They even special order all of the stuff I need to keep my guinea pigs happy and healthy which is sometimes a LOT of stuff, and they'll deliver it for free. They're unlike any other pet supply store I've shopped at, in a really good way.

Liz is amazing and so nice! They let me borrow a cat carrier so I could use it to adopt a new kitty, and didn't let me leave without a bag full of free samples. Can't recommend this place enough, they definitely got themselves a new lifelong customer.

What a great store! Fun stuff & super knowledgeable staff. All the food is high quality. The greeter cats were cool too 😀If you're a dog person there was a ton of chew toys etc . Also features locally made items which often benefits a shelter or No kill organization.

My sister is a regular at this store. When I was in Madison visiting here, we stopped by for dog food. What a delightful shop! In addition to being warmly welcomed by the owner (?), we were also greeted by a friendly rooster at the counter and there was a cat wandering around. Great treats for dogs and cats and wonderful toys. Very unusual and not the sort of items you'd find at the bigger pet stores. Wish they had one in San Francisco!

Absolutely worth to get the big bag of cat food!! O so healthy & its all for adults or kittens! Buy 10 get 1 free! Amazing place! So glad i found it for mine & my roommates kitties:) their fur is so silky soft & it really makes a difference! Nobody should buy IAMS!! Your cats will show you the difference. So natural & healthy for them with ingredients like berries, vegetables, fruits, & GRAIN FREE. Amazing! ! Please every one go visit they'll explain everything you need to know!💕✌😙🌹

This is a fabulous store for pets and their people. The staff were able to help me find a food that worked to my cat who is allergic to traditional proteins and were willing to order extra cases on hand.The lovely feline store ambassadors are amazing. Could pet them all day long! If you manage to hit the right time you might even get to meet a greeter chicken owned by one of the staff. LOL Awesome!The cool vibe of the store and fun things for the two leggers i.e. candles, home goods, and jewelry make this a place I always look forward to visiting. :)

They have a good selection of pet supplies right from leashes to toys to treats. The owner is very helpful and friendly and there are two really cute and soft kitties walking around the store. Definitely going back again and again!! :)

For as long as I am in Madison, this will be my pet store. Every time I am in, I get such great customer service. Once when I was looking at possibly switching the flavor of my (very picky) cat's food, I was a little hesitant because I didn't want to spend $30 on a new Orijen food only to find out that my cat didn't like it. They assured me that I could try it out, and if my cat wouldn't eat it, then I could return the opened bag for full credit. That is just awesome to me, because it is not like they could have resold an open bag - it could have possibly lost them some money, but they wanted me to be satisfied first and foremost. Last time I was in the store, someone had just bought the last bag of the dry food that I feed my cat, and I was completely out. They gave me a "sample" bag (in total, about 6 meals) for free to get me through, and promised that they would get a full sized bag from their other location by the next day. I don't know of any other pet store that would do this with Orijen foods, simply because the food is pricey. Such nice people, and I love that they are willing to put their dollar on the line to make their customer satisfied. To top it all off, it is a local small business!

My wife and I walked in on a Friday afternoon, and we were told “There are a lot of people coming in just to browse today, but we’d really like to get you in and out to stop spreading germs.” Look, I get that we are in a pandemic, but we felt extremely awkward and unwanted. We were wearing masks, and making sure to keep our distance from the one other gentleman in the store. We were hoping to find a new toy for our dogs, but felt so uncomfortable that we just left and went to another store. This was our first time here, and I don’t expect we will return.

Nice selection of cat foods. Our cat is allergic to nearly everything and the staff have always been very helpful with that. The resident pets are sweet and it's ok just to stop by to see them.
