Elegance and Delight: A Perfect Tea Party Bridal Shower! My bridal shower at The Hotel Fremont was an enchanting affair that combined timeless elegance with delightful treats. They offered a delicious selection of small sandwiches, charcuterie, and desserts perfect for afternoon tea. Their tea selection and food were served with elegant, floral china perfect for the occasion. The staff were highly attentive and did a great job facilitating the seamless event.

Small and quaint place with the bar being right next to the dinning area so it's you're looking for somewhere quiet then I would look elsewhere. When we arrived it wasn't that busy however we still had to wait we where a party of 2. We waited outside and had a drink but I must the old-fashioned was definitely a 3 compared to other places. Not the worst ive has but definitely not great. I ordered the haddock dinner and my wife had the dill salmon. Mine was average at best as the fish didn't have a lot of flavor and the target was sour tasting. My wife said the salmon was overwhelming dill flavored. Almost to point she couldn't eat it. However the beer battered cheese curds are some of the best we have ever had. All in all I would say this restaurant is 5.8 out 10. The cheese curds saved the meal for sure.

I love reuben sandwiches and some are definitely better than others. THIS IS THE BEST REUBEN SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! It is so tasty. I think they have come up with fantastically seasoned corned beef and the sandwich is LOADED with it. The pictures don't do it justice. Yummy cheese and the right amount of sauerkraut and 1000 island. It's so good I wonder if it's all home-made! I also had the clam chowder and it was good, too. The staff was also friendly, accommodating, and on top of their game. Thank you so much ladies!

We didn’t wait very long to be sat outside. We requested inside but figured we’d take what we could get since we needed to get on the road. I preface this by saying our waitress was very sweet and friendly. No fault of hers. We also 100% understand it being a busy holiday time. But we waited 45 minutes after ordering 4 very simple breakfasts to ask if it was coming soon. People had literally gotten their breakfasts and left in the time we waited. They said maybe 10 more minutes so we had them cancel our order and left. Oh, after paying for the 1 cup of coffee we ordered. You can see by the picture what we had instead. Pretty dang good when you’re waiting a long time. And only 90 seconds to prepare. This place definitely caters to the summer vacation crowd by the menu selection and prices. We won’t be back next time through Fremont.

We come here a few times each year and stay in the hotel and it's always a blast. You can't go wrong with their Bloody Mary's (especially their homemade mushrooms; my friends rave about them) or Old Fashioneds. Mmm...and the food. Their menu rotates and has a nice variety of specialty and traditional options. The Reuben Rolls are a fav. We've never had a bad experience. I read some of the other reviews and think it's important to keep in mind that it can be hard to find an retain staff, especially right now. Everyone at The Hotel works their butts off -- thank you for making it so enjoyable!

My husband loves their bbq ribs, sweet potato fries with dipping sauce. I tried something new, their salad, which was also great, but so generous that I had to take home leftovers. I believe that this is one of waupaca Countys' best secret restaurants. Once we tried their food, we eat there almost every time we return from Appleton.Kid-friendliness: It has a deck overlooking the river for lots of boat viewing.Wheelchair accessibility: Their is about a 1 inch ridge to get into the door, some uneven areas, but nothing you can't roll over. If it is only 1 person, it would be difficult to keep the door open while getting over the ridge. But if there are 2 people, there should be no problems at all.

I never leave reviews. (Those dreaded four words.) But…we visited the Hotel Fremont on Monday, July 5th, 2021 to celebrate our sister-in-law’s birthday. It was a little busy when we got there at 5:00, and because we had 10 people and one toddler, we called ahead to let them know we were coming. The problem here wasn’t the food, with the exception that the deep fryer oil was burnt and was desperately in need of a changing. (You know when the flavor of your fries leaves that sour/bitter aftertaste in your mouth? And they are WAY too dark?) Yeah, that was really the only food complaint. The server though? Wow. I don’t think I have ever had a worse one!She was young and clearly inexperienced…and clearly not trained, so at first we were more than willing to cut her some slack and the benefit of the doubt. So when we asked for something and she replied with a, “I am going to do such-and-such first because I have like 12 other tables…” we were less-than-impressed, but willing to overlook it…but when our food finally arrived after 90 minutes and my mother-in-law asked for some more of the sauce that comes on her salmon sandwich, our server’s reply sent the whole experience downhill real fast. “And what sauce is that?” she said with a heavy dose of annoyance. My MIL replied, “whatever sauce is supposed to come on this sandwich, it’s the slammin’ salmon…I would just like some more.” The waitress DOUBLED down, “I don’t know what that is, I don’t make the food.” Again, her tone was insanely rude - almost yelling at my MIL!Well, there is so much more, but this is already too long, so here’s some bulletpoints:- my SIL’s caprese salad came with parsley instead of basil and no balsamic. (See photo) When this was pointed out, our server replied with, “well I don’t work in the kitchen.”- My FIL’s entire order was overlooked (but strangely we had two of something else) - which our server very quickly blamed on the kitchen. She said it would be out in 10 minutes…- 25 minutes later she comes back and asks if we need some boxes…with my FIL STILL sitting there waiting for his food!Bottom line: this place could be great, because overall the food was good (the reason for the two stars and not just one) and the location is great but if they don’t vet and train their servers, they will have a very hard future. Then again, maybe they don’t care if they burn through customers…because not one of our party of 10 will ever be going back.On a side note: the women’s restroom needs serious attention. The faucet handle on the sink came off in my hand and the toilets were filthy. I don’t even want to start on how it smelled…

We chose to have our wedding dinner with 25 guests at The Hotel Fremont, and everything was wonderful. The waitstaff went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and our main server was so sweet and did a great job. Our charcuterie board was excellent and the meal that followed was just what we were hoping for; the salmon was my absolute favorite! Thank you for allowing us to have our dinner at your restaurant, we will definitely be back if we are in the area!Kid-friendliness: Our wedding guests consisted of a few very thirsty teens who got virgin margaritas and kiddie cocktails and there was not one gripe from the bar about the frequency of the kiddos ordering these drinks!

We boated here from Oshkosh to have breakfast and it was outstanding. The service was either a bit slow, or it was that we were just that hungry. If you are at all concerned about covid-19, you may want to eat outside, none of the staff were wearing masks. They did however have great distances between the tables, so no customers were too close to any other patrons inside. They wiped down all the menus before handing them out, and did a great job sanitizing tables, chairs, salt and pepper shakers as we departed.

Stopped in for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the GF options available. I had the bang bang shrimp and it was one of the best meals I had during my week stay in WI. Highly recommend and thank you so much for accommodating dietary restrictions!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options on the menu and much appreciated!

After getting breakfast here a few times to go and enjoying it, we finally came and dined in. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive!I ordered the spicy bloody mary which was very good, and I was impressed with their selection of beer chaser options.I had the potato pancake benedict special and my husband had the bacon & mushroom omelette. Both were delicious! It's great that they partner with local businesses for many of their ingredients too!Honestly all the menu options sounded excellent - you can't go wrong with anything you choose!

This was a by far my worst experience at a dine in restaurant. We have a reservation for 11:00 and got seated at around 12:00. Also as we were asking about when we would get seated, as there were tables open, the hostess was very un-friendly. I understand if you are busy but when your not apologetic like the hostess today was, that's just plain bad. She seemed as though she was trying to scare us away or something so she didn't have to deal with us. Then once we sat down we had to get up and request a waiter, as none were coming to us. When we eventually got our food, it was very mediocre all around. My salmon sandwich which was supposed to be spicy was not spicy at all. overall most of the meals where sub-par.
