Visited on Thanksgiving, everyone was friendly, helpful and assured me that they had volunteered to work that day. I was stressed (as people who shop at noon on Thanksgiving usually are), and their positive attitude really brightened my day.

The cashier, Sue, was very kind and helpful. Parking lot traffic is an obstacle. It must be a popular place. Prices are higher than I'm used to, but the food quality and service is good if you're rich like my Grandma.

This store is very clean and nicely set. The service here is lacking. I originally went to purchase some flowers, but saw the fruit and started shopping. Over the sliced papaya displace that was placed on ice, flies were hovering over the produce. Probably due to the papaya juice that was on the outside of the container packages. I went to the service counter for assistance in floral, as the sign indicated. The young lady left the counter after I asked for help, as if she was looking for someone to assistance, so I returned to the floral department to wait. After 10 minutes, I started walking to the service counter when I heard the page over the speaker for assistance in floral. After waiting 10 more minutes. I returned me fruit and left.

Giving this store 1 star because I have purchased and have seen numerous types of rotting foods here, have also gotten sick, and was told "sorry" but nothing else was done. Last year, I purchased walnuts for a recipe that were packaged in Sendik's "plastic cellophane tubs" these are not air tight- a lot of the candies and nuts and frozen items in these containers are rancid and stale- I had purchased candy also that was completely stale, chocolate as well....I also Picked up a bag of completely rotten bread, handed it to the service desk, and the man rudely said "where did you get that?" I said "In the bread aisle" He didn't care.Let's see, I have seen the ginger, and turmeric root completely rotted in produce, also handed those to the service desk. Recently I bought Sendik's bulk Italian sausage which smelled off while cooking it, but I figured it was just the pork smell, about 45 minutes after eating this pork, my daughter and I became violently ill.I went back and again nothing was done about this? I was told it was "fresh" and "sorry we had no other complaints" OK so two people getting sick from this isn't enough for them to do a darn thing?Bought pre-cut boar's head (cut by Sendiks, not boar's head pre-packaged) The ham was spoiled... I cannot stress enough about food safety and I do not think Sendik's is taking notice.Furthermore, It's WAAAAY Over priced, the produce department is grimy with black netting and vegetables sitting on top of that stuff? and lots of rotting berries and fruit flies. I can't believe that this shop is in Elm Grove and people are OK with it? Maybe a call to the health inspection is in order. I don't know anymore.

This is my favorite grocery store in Elm Grove. It has everything I need without being overwhelming in size. Their prices are a bit higher than other grocers, but I swear they have the best eggs I’ve ever eaten and their produce is always fresh and stocked. If you’re only looking for mass market dry goods, you can find those cheaper elsewhere, but this Sendix is the best for all your fresh food needs.

Went for walleye sale. The clerk was dead set on trying to sell me the 2 dried out filets in the display case. Eventually, I convinced him to grab me frozen filets from the back. Overall, nice location, Sendicks always has a huge variety

Great, focused selection with high quality products. It is small, so the selection isn't as wide as any bigger store, but the pre made meals and deli counter sure help a dad for dinner.Only downside is the Food Club generic brands they carry. Avoid those.

This location is Amazing. The staff or team they have here are wonderful. Special shut out to Austin in the Deli. Had a emergency and my event venue needed 75 pieces of baked chicken and 75 pieces of fried chicken for a large event. Due to a catering cancellation we’re pressed for time. I call 15 locations that served and baked chicken of some sort. I receive no love for what I needed. Austin came through for us in a crunch and we thank him.

It's a great grocery store with lots of specialty, quality foods. The employees are very helpful. Excellent meat dept and deli. They have good sales but just know your prices and don't get EVERYTHING there unless it's your only choice because some stuff is overpriced. Please be very careful in the parking lot... Yikes.. It's a madhouse during peak hours. Other than that I love it.

The hot bar at late afternoon is more dried out than The Sahara Desert. If freshness is the moniker, shouldn't the hot bar be as fresh all day as when it opened? Low volume store worrying about shrink control rather than offering freshness all day. Sad evolution. Time for Stoufers again!

Excellent butcher shop! Very skillful meat cutters. If a steak is one and a half inches thick, it is the same all over, no skinny end. Therefore, it cooks evenly. Your time, work, cost and effort produces a perfect medium rare steak, just as it should be.
