My experience at Ace was top tier. When I walked in I could tell that this Ace Hardware Store was a well managed establishment with great employees. The staff was very friendly and was very knowledgable of the products all over the store. Also, I want to give a special shoutout to Tyler at the check out desk. Not because we share the same awesome name but he was vey helpful and kind. It is good to see young men giving it their all at work and reflecting their happiness and kindness towards the great customers of Ace.

The customer service from this store and the complete lack of follow-through by ACE indicates that it could be a more helpful place.I placed an order for delivery from the store nearest my house because it offered free delivery. When the order was delivered, it was dropped off with the top of the box open/cut off and exposed (not something I can wrap and give as a gift).How many people could have caught this?The experience gets even more strange, especially when I entered the store. I emailed presumably the store’s namesake, Mr. Elliot, but he never replied:Hi Mr. Elliott,It would help if you were aware of how your employees handled this. When I walked in with the box to return, the two women at the front asked me, "Do they know you're returning it like that?" From the start, Elliott Ace Hardware staff and management blamed me for this. The manager, who eventually accepted the return and handled the situation, never even apologized for what happened. The delivery driver accompanied was present for this return as well. Until he spoke up and said, "I wondered if that would be a problem," she was cold, suspicious, and thought I had scalped the box.I've come to accept that customer service is a lost and dead art, but I certainly don't appreciate being made to feel as if I did something wrong. There was no apology or sincerity whatsoever in how Elliott Ace Hardware staff handled this. I remain angry about how I was treated by the staff from start to finish here, and You should know how your team dealt with this.Let me also clarify that I'm not writing to you to get a discount or refund. Owners and management should know how their staff treats people and use situations like mine as a training opportunity, in my opinion. I paid for the product I received. Unfortunately, the manager and front-end staff made me feel I had done something wrong, and I inconvenienced them by returning a delivery that should have never gone out.Best wishes and Merry Christmas,----12/27/2022 Update: The store responded with lies. 1) SET UP was NOT requested or indicated. 2) I was at work when the delivery was made and therefore no one was home to tell them not to set it up as their response claims, nor did you bring the opened back back with you. 3) I am the one who brought the open box to your store where your ridiculed me for attempting to make a return with the box in that condition. Your damage control is to lie?Why do you think I was "very satisfied" when I picked up the order? No one followed up or spoke with me about it - the cashier who handed me the intact box didn't (and I wouldn't expect her to).Someone named Mike reached out on 12/20. I called Mike back twice, but was told he doesn't have a voicemail and no one wanted to take my name, number, or time of call. (I was told to call back the next day, did, and he was unavailable.)

You use to do special cutting and sizing to really anything. I brought a simple 24” scraper bar and asked for it to be matched to the scraper I brought in. Cutting and drilling holes. On a thin scraper plate. Something you can’t do because “it’s a hardware store”? Your prices are not competitive with big box stores and now neither is your service.

Very expensive. The Ace rewards coupons don't work on most of the popular brands they sell so what's the point. You are better off at a big box store. Better prices... Quality of merchandise about the same.

The 2 older gentlemen in the back at the counter for fittings are very rude. And absolutely no help. I’ve bought standard pipe fitting with 90 degree turns many times here and they tell me “no you haven’t” will take my business some place else.

My sister went in there to get a key made there was a person ahead of her that said she waited already 15 minutes as my sister talked to her could see it was under staffed! We enjoyed always going there but do to being under staffed losing a lot of business!! My sister came all the way from South Milwaukee

This place is huge. The hardware selection is better than the big box stores. The service is friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of helpful employees to help. You don't have to look for them. My new first stop.

This place is INCREDIBLE. Amazing inventory. If you enter at the front, like I did, know that there is an EBTIRE SECOND LEVEL.I live in Waukesha, but I'll drive all the way to this store to avoid the constant frustration I feel at most of the other Ace locations with missing or limited inventory.Also worth noting: the staff is HELPFUL, not bothersome. Some of the Ace's I've been to you've got someone asking if you need anything every 30 seconds, and unless it's locating something in the store, most of them don't know anything about anything. Not so at Elliot's. Someone's always available and instead of pretending like they know what you're talking about, they refer you to an associate that has experience with what you're looking for.5 stars only because 6 isnt an option.

I needed a new snow blower and finally narrowed it down to two different brands. Found that Elliot’s ACE had them both in stock. Walked in on a rainy afternoon and went to feel out which one was better for me. Sunny answered all the questions I had and helped me settle on the Ariens 24” 2 stage. It was $100 cheaper than anywhere else I saw it advertised. They delivered it to my house the next day, and hauled away my old wore out snowblower at no extra charge. I cloud not be happier. I kinda almost want it to snow now just so I can try it out.

If you need it, chances are Elliott's has it! I could spend hours looking at everything they have here... and buying a lot of it!!Whether it's plumbing items or kitchenware or seasonal lawn displays, Elliott's probably has it!Today I came in for 1 thing and walked out with 2 bags full of all sorts of things I needed/wanted ! Things that were on my mental list but had forgotten about! I love this place!

I usually try to avoid these over priced 'family' owned stores mainly due to the 100 year old people that work there who are soooo slow but also the prices. Today i made the mistake of going in thinking it would be faster than driving a few extra miles to home depot... i was wrong.

I had a question about a replacement part I needed. The gentleman offered advice on how to fix my problem, helped me find the part, and even swapped out the washer in the store for me. Above and beyond service and very helpful staff. Even though this is not the closest Ace to my house, I will come back to this Ace for any future hardware needs!

Oh my gosh this Ace is amazing! You have no idea you’re walking into the primo of all Ace’s by looking at the storefront. It’s huge! The store was clean, the vast variety and selection of products…all very organized, not to mention that all of the employees were so kind and welcoming. The most awesome Ace experience I’ve had:)!

I purchased a new Weber gas grill this past weekend. The person that helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me with my decision. Ace is assembling, delivering the new grill and taking away my old grill at no cost.I'm very happy with the way they helped me. I'll post again after I get the grill this Thursday.

Picked up a chainsaw here recently instead ordering online as I usually do. Ran into a couple things and they happily sorted it out very quickly. Awesome customer service and staff! Glad I picked up my new tools from here. Will definitely be going back for more stuff. Thanks Dan, Connor and Tom!
