Folks, this is THE pet store. Pet owners of reptiles, birds, fish, gerbils, or any animal other than a cat or dog know it's tough to find a reliable source of both the actual animals and quality supplies- this store has it all, truly. It would take all day to go through the kinds of pets and products you can get here. Bird cages and feed, gerbil cages and feed, cat food and litter, dog food and toys- the best part for me is the extensive reptile and aquatic selection. There's a healthy selection of birds and mice, but there is an INCREDIBLE assortment of scalies- stingrays, turtles, aquatic frogs, snakes, lizards, and all manner of fish. Anything you could want for an aquarium, terrarium, paludarium, or reptile enclosure is well stocked and from small and/or reputable brands, including an impressive variety of actual tanks. This whole store is an adventure, and it has all the heart and ingenuity of a local pet store. I am not easy to please when it comes to pet stores because of how many shortcuts a business can take, but here the employees are delightful, the atmosphere is perfect, and the animals are all obviously happy where they are- that isn't something you can find in any large chain pet store. I loved every minute here, and for the first time for me, I was delighted to ask for a rewards membership the first visit. I can't wait to come back, and I encourage you to check it out if you own any kind of pet... And as a lovely bonus, they have a few resident animals that have been rescued over time!

Great store, except for the weird hours and volatile pricing. Multiple times I have come here right as they lock the doors. They have lost business more times than I can count from my husband and I alone due to their hours. They have good deals on enclosures a lot of the time but their animals are usually overpriced. $80 for a jumping spider? Come on guys.Edit: i think it's also worth noting that they sell animals to anyone. Just today they were selling a beautiful ball python to an uneducated customer. Customer was asking everything they needed to know after buying the snake which meant they did not have an enclosure set up already or knowledge of how to take care of said animal which i find to be greedy and unethical. This is only one example as well. I understand making money is important but better ethics should be in place.

Reasonable prices for a bearded dragon, and the majority looked very healthy (except there was a runt it seemed, which is normal I believe). The lady I talked to was very nice and helped us out well. If I lived closer this would be the place to shop!

I'll keep it short and simple. Don't go anywhere else to buy fish in EC. Basically every employee there knows EXACTLY what they are talking about regarding all the different fish they have there, and they are generous and understanding even if you are new and berating them with questions. :)Don't go to petco or petsmart for fish please. Just don't. Please help this wonderful local business stick around doing the amazing work they do.

Don't get me wrong tropic waters is the best pet store I have ever seen/ been too, but I bought a rabbit from them today and I was not impressed with the patting on his tail and part of his stomach. I had to work out the mat and a few pieces of feces out of the tail and that took me the better part of an hour. I get that it's hard to keep everyone clean but that is one thing I believe could be focus a little bit more even if it's just a little brush through. There are the pics of the matting and all the other hair that came with it.

Not great.. just dirty.. tanks are not stocked correctly.. fish are with predator fish… just not a good atmosphere..

Awful expensive scenic the last time I was there. The ladder I purchased for my birds had a two price tags, one on top of the other. $9.49 I paid, then $7.99 was the previous amount. (They are remodeling so someone needs to pay for it)🤔

Fun place to go visit to look at hundreds of different animals I've always loved this place since I was little! Has everything to offer for any animal lover! You can buy birds, turtles, snakes, spiders, everything from goldfish to salt water fish, lizards & that's just naming a few! They also sell fish tanks in every size, fish tank stands, cages for all animals! Food & live food for any animal! You can bring your dog there to get a haircut or washed & combed! Prices are not too bad either! I have to go there everytime I'm in Eau Claire lol!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I was going to buy a tank cleaning hose I thought might work for a new tank, but the person at the counter showed me how it was the wrong size. Now my daughter will be better able to keep her tank clean! Lots of cool animals to see while you're shopping, too!

I currently drive an hour round trip every now and then just to visit this store. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable and ownership prioritizes quality over quantity for items stocked. the fish are always healthy and the cat/dog food treats are top quality. It helps take some stress off of me, as I don't have to obsess over ingredients in my dog's treats anymore knowing they've done the research for me. The natural dog chews are my favorite section, I hope they keep expanding it. Affordable prices and way better quality pig ears and more than I can get at chain stores.

I love shopping here because the people are a wealth of knowledge and so friendly! They always have what you need for your Animal and if they don't have it they will order it for you. They always have some sweet animals and fish to check out also such as this chameleon!

What a great place! I was very impressed by the store size and variety of animals. This is great place to get inspiration for you next tank set up! They have a huge selection of bettas, fish, birds, and reptiles. The staff is knowledge and helpful. Whether you're a novice or expert this is good place with knowledge people that really want to provide the best environment for pets. I love my visit and will be back again!

Boy did they blow it out of the water ;)But seriously I expected their prices to be higher than petsmart or petco but I was wrong! Everything is super affordable and high quality. Chemicals they recommended for my tank did just the trick and I spent less than $15 on both bottles which would’ve costed me 30+ at a traditional pet store. If you’ve got any aquatic life, reptiles, birds or even rodents 100% recommend stopping by here before ya head anywhere else :)

Great fish store! I purchased a dozen, small cardinal tetras a couple weeks ago. I was impressed with the health and quality of the fish. They seem to always sell quality fish here.
