It’s a pretty typical Costco. It’s a brand new store so it’s very clean. You never quite know what you’ll find on any given visit.I got a nice châteaunerf de pape for a decent price. It’s a great wine. A lot of people rave about Costco for their crate bourbon, I went almost daily for a couple of weeks and never found anything out of the ordinary at this location very few checkouts are staffed, they want to use the self check out, they don’t have the scan and go like Sam’s Club does, the pizza is good, and cheap.

Easy location to find. Ample parking. For those with handicap needs, up close parking. Friendly staff, diversity in products. Online shopping is also great. One specific item I was looking for was out of my size. I went online when home, found it and ordered. Will arrive next week. Over all quite pleased with my experience.

You can not beat COSTCO when it comes to value when utilizing all of the tools that they offer. Get the COSTCO credit card and executive membership. Get your gas there whenever possible and use the credit card for ALL your purchases including non COSTCO purchases. It's the best money back card in the business.

Good store, helpful employees. Why the low rating? Because every time I visit this store it never has electric carts available. Doesn’t matter whether it’s Saturday or Tuesday. I think this store has only two electric carts, which is very poor compared to competitors. I can’t navigate a store without an electric cart, so I either have to lean against wall and wait (no seats at entry), wait in the car or leave. Very disappointing for a Costco.

Typical Costco reasonable prices, was busy and a bit hectic. Was a way too expensive visit, which I guess is good, cuz we found stuff and we bought too much.Good visit, love the wheat bread. Getting samples is always fun.Found some more good deals

My wife and I are long time Costco members. After moving to Eau Claire WI for work we were happy to learn of a new warehouse opening in Eau Claire. Today (1-20-24) my wife went to shop for our regular items as Costco. My wife asked to use my Costco credit card as she couldn’t find hers. I said that’s fine. She does need to find her card or order a new one. The credit card and membership is in her name, I’m just an authorized user. She went and at check out was made to feel like a criminal by the cashier and supervisor. My wife overheard the supervisor degrading my wife and accusing her of being a criminal. Since my wife does not have the same last name as me they assumed she had stolen my card. My wife pulled up her membership on her phone App. They didn’t like that as the number was different, however every member has their own unique number. She even offered to pay with our visa debit card. Instead of just looking us up in your system she was made to feel like a criminal in public as my wife heard the supervisor degrading my wife and acting like police accusing her of a crime. My wife was distraught when she arrived home. I understand the importance of having valid memberships, and how that is important to your operational income and model of business. It’s been well documented in news articles, and business journals. However, there is something that is more important. That’s being kind to others. Nobody should be made to feel like a criminal just for trying to check out at a retail establishment, and especially loyal customers who forgot their card. Nobody should be treated like that. Never has my wife ever been treated so poorly at a retail store, let alone Costco. I love Costco, but I must say I’m very disappointed in the company and the Eau Claire store.

Excellent store with a huge selection and great prices! They should lower the market for all food in Eau Claire and their gas is always cheaper than most. They have fresh hot cheap food, good selection of organic and tons of things for the entire family. Does get busy during peak hours especially on the weekends. Highly recommend stopping in

It's like the more expensive version of Sam's Club... for boogee ppl. Most of the food we saw was organic and spendy. They did have stuff in stock that we can NEVER find anywhere else, however. Undecided if we will keep our membership here or not.

The store was clean, organized, and bustling.Staff was friendly. What I didn't care for: a couple shopping, while in the produce department, we witnessed a person help themselves to some of the fruit. (Grapes) They literally opened multiple containers and ate handfuls multiple times. The couple then decided they wanted some. They picked up a different carton (not the carton they had eaten from).This was not cool. Stealing is wrong. Not very sanitary.

Great deals, but rude management. My daughter tried to pay for her own purchases, but checkout lady refused to let my daughter pay because it was under my membership. Okay, fine, understood. You want everyone to have their own membership. But then as we were walking out, the manager who checked our receipt, we wanted to ask him how to get our daughter on my card. We were completely ignored because he had another employee come up to him yelling about how a customer thought they were right. The manager went and completely ignored our question, going on to tell the other employee about how he needs to be nicer to customers and that the customer is always righ. Okay, then why were we completely ignored if you want to make sure the customers are taken care of. After he didn't even look at us after that, we just left. Not a good look for management.

This review is only regarding the meat department. Probably everyone will disagree with me, but their steaks are too thick. If you notice, every steak (New York's and Ribeye's) are over a pound a piece.I'm on the carnivore diet and I can easily eat a pound of meat, but if I want to eat salmon or something on the side I don't have that option unless I cut the steak in half. Who would want to cut a steak in half? I want the whole experience of eating the whole steak.These are just my thoughts from a female point of view.

Customer service and management is abysmal. I bought a membership online to skip the rush when the store opened. Used the card once for a $560 purchase. Came back a couple weeks later and they said my membership was cancelled and the cancellation date listed was prior to my purchase. They then tried to tell me I needed to pay for another membership even though I was never reimbursed for the first membership I purchased and then the 20 year old 'manager' demanded bank statements to prove it. I was nice throughout the entire interaction and the manager was almost screaming at me repeating the same line as if she were a robot. I used to love Costco in California and Colorado. Take your business to Sam's Club.

We went there on a Saturday afternoon. Very busy but not hectic. We are from Seattle and I had worked at the Kirkland Costco in the Kirkland WA when I was in college. It was very clean, and well taken care of. They employees were knowledgeable and very helpful. Glad there is a Costco within an hour of us because now we can get their tires which are only sold there.

It's great, having a Costco in the area - we used to drive up to Twin Cities for a big Costco shop. As others have pointed out, there have been some information about store hours and suchlike, but that's minor issues for a store just opening up.Impressed with the checkout staff. They knew their stuff, knew how to help each other, positive experience all round. Front of house retail ain't easy and the place was packed.

I visited here for the first time since it opened. I was expecting it to be more like a Sam's club but I like their setup just the same. It has a huge variety of electronics and clothes. It seems less bulk sales items than Sam's so I like the idea you can get a lot but not over doing the packages leaving less room for things in your house. They have some hard to find items in the grocery sections that are split up differently . The wine and spirits selection is very nice, some top shelf liquor at competitive prices. I'll be sure to take some photos next time. I am also going to get a membership. Simply for the couple of items I really want. They have Guinness Draught in 24 pack cans for what comes to $1.40 a can. You can't beat that price! Very clean, lots of friendly staff, and don't forget an all beef hotdog and refillable soda for $1.50.

Finally open!!! went Monday Dec 4th afternoon not much traffic compared to most warehouses...I'm sure that will catch up eventually. Slightly different layout placement so made for the typical treasure hunt. Solid hard liquor department. They are stocked to the gills. Exceeded budget but I've not driven to cities for Costco in a while

The products are pretty identical to Sam's Club. Most of the meats were higher, and bakery, and produce. Its location is not ideal for where l shop. General membership is higher than Sam's Club. Very disappointed when l asked an employee if they had an item l was looking for in women's clothing. She could care less and didn't even try to help me locate it. We will be renewing our Sam's Club now instead in December.

It is less busy than the ones in the cities. The merchandise is similar to what you see in the cities for the most part. A few regional differences such as no 92 Octane at the gas station. Highest grade is 91 Octane. I would highly recommend Costco Optical. You get really nice frames for the fraction of the price at similar retailers.

Lots of good stuff. takes time to walk through and could be looking around for a easy couple hours. Costco does have items not found elsewhere but a bit pricey.
