These guys blanket craigslist w ads so you can't even look for trailers because it's just ads for trailer companies. Craigslist doesn't allow that so you should flag any and all individual trailer posts on Craigslist so it will be usable by people again.

Bought about 8 trailers from these guys over the years. The last 14k tiltbed was complete junk after 10 months with poor welds and a poor design. If you want a cheap junk trailer that the dealer won't stand behind after more than a decade of doing business these are your guys. Of course, after this review was posted they offered to fix it free of charge, as long as I haul it to the factory in texas to have it repaired. Joke of the day!Update: after 3 years and 11 months of owning this trailer, and 9 weld repairs to date, this being the tenth, two hubs, one rim, and about $5k, here we are again. The best thing I can say about it, is it still has the factory tires on it with plenty of tread. Which is mostly due to it being in the shop for repairs more than it has been on the highway. I was a loyal customer, bought a number of trailers from this place, one bad one and I can tell ya, never again! If you plan to haul anything of value, go buy a trailer somewhere else!

Trailer seems like it is made well. The paint, not so well. I picked out the best one from their lot, but they are parked about 2" apart, so it's hard to get a good look at one until they bring it to you. When I got home, I could clearly see many many spots where the trailer was repainted with a brush. These people obviously dont know much about painting. Must be paid with a cashier's check or money order, no cash. I was told on the phone that they do all their business outside, so cash blows away, so they wont accept it. Kind of inconvenient to get a money order or cashiers check for something you haven't seen yet. What if i get there and dont like it? Real short on the phone and even shorter in person. Everyone else has lightened up on covid, not these people, they act like they are scared of you. They have an office, but you are not allowed to enter. Why be in business if you dont like talking to people? The guy brought the trailer out of the lot and ran and hid, never seen him again. Based on other reviews and responses, I'm sure they will reply that they are trying to be safe. Safe is one thing, unfriendly is another.

Purchased a longhorn dump trailer early 2022(mfg by quality trailers) whole gate system fell off the trailer after loading our skid steer 4 times on/off. Just a poor design that will need to be modified going forward. Company provided a new replacement( great) but owner (Don) said he was too busy to fix it…. Aren’t we all?? Guy was super rude (said I could leave it there and he’ll get to it when he gets to it) - 10k trailer n zero attempt to take care of us because they’re too busy. Here’s a tip- existing customers are just as important as new customers( maybe more cuz we’ve purchased and used your product and have told others about said product/ service/ experience. Been in retail my whole life and have witnessed this type of treatment and all it says is these people need to retire. I’m not a review writer but as we all know, a good experience gets told to 1-4 people and a bad experience is 8-12 people…… this falls under the later.

After buying 4 trailers from them over the years, a call was made yesterday to purchase two more. Don couldn't have been more rude, interrupted me and threw a fit multiple times while going over trailer options. Then asks for a credit card number to hold a trailer on order (no timeline however) and to top it off..no actual price. As he said...it could be much more then quoted when it finally gets there. I am done with this place!

I can not advise purchasing from here. Salesman never shown his face when purchasing and when discovered paint was bubbled on the roof, everyone BUT Don wanted to make the purchase what it was sold as, NEW. Completely satisfied with Calico Manufacturer and an entirely different trailer sales company that went above and beyond to make it right. Don just smiled all the way to the bank knowing he got more than he deserved.Nice attempt to look good. You told ME to contact the Manufacturer, which I did. As for your discount, it barely covered the expense of the two trips to your business since you wouldn't deal with me without an appointment. Not mention the brakes were not working correctly and my mechanic said he could see the plug had been replaced from the original cord.

I looked for about a month for the best trailer for my needs. I decided on the ATV 7x14 trailer. It works perfectly and seems rock solid. The only thing I wish was different is some way to keep side ramps from rattling and wearing the paint rubbing on frame. Very happy i picked this one.

Called to get a quote on a trailer. Was not impressed with the sales guy on the phone. I was continually interrupted while trying to explain what I was looking for with "well if youd just give a minute" It was rude and completely turned me off. Judging by other recent reviews I am not the first potential customer this has happened to. I felt like I was bothering them. Sale lost.Response to owner: It has nothing to do with the timeliness of the response. It was your tone on the phone and your inability to let someone finish a thought before rudely interrupting them.

I recently tried to purchase a truck bed from Don, at Johnson Trailer Co via the phone. On the call he took my order and had a bed in stock. But due to Covid safety precautions, all sales were to be curbside, which meant the only form of payment he would accept was a cashiers check. Don told me the amount over the phone, so I knew how much to make the check out for. The price did not match what the site said, so I asked him about it to make sure I was getting the right bed. Don said the bed was from the old inventory and not the same price as the website currently displays and not to worry, that it was indeed the same bed, just not the same price. I stopped at the bank to get the cashiers check in the amount requested by Don, then left town to go pick up the bed. After I was on the road for an hour or so, I got a call from Don informing me he made a mistake on the price and it was of course more. I had already left town and was now getting shaken down for more than we bargained for over a mistake that I clearly precautioned against. After some debate over the phone, I agree to pay the additional cost because turning around at that point would cost me more in the long run. However, I informed Don that I thought this behavior was rather underhanded for a supposedly reputable "MADE IN USA" manufacturer from the midwest. With that he refused to sell me the bed, hung up on me and has rejected all my calls after that. I suffered damages because of this, Truck use, mileage, trailer rental, and my time as a professional contractor, plus the time lost from the job I could have billed for if Don hadn't wasted my time. I don't think he had to sell me the truck bed for the wrong price; but he definitely had to sell it to me for the right price, which he refused to do.Your response is a lie, I said I would pay full price you hung up on me and refused to sell it to me which is illegal. As for you determining how much my time was worth: no way $75 covers it. I charge that per hour or more and you burnt half a day plus a truck and trailer use of mine. Don is simply an ignorant person unwilling to accept responsibility and it shows in his response as he does nothing but pass blame for his mistake and accepts none. Poor Poor buisiness practice. see you in court. I am owed way more damages than 75 bucks and the fact you sent it is an admission of guilt

WORTH THE DRIVE! We have bought several gooseneck trailers from Johnson trailer despite the fact that they are about 3 hours away from us. Nobody local can match the combination of price, quality, and old fashioned customer service that these folks provide. The build quality of the trailers is second to none. The trailers have good welds, and the paint has been very durable for us over the years. Highly recommended!

My husband and I bought a gooseneck flatbed recently in which they held it for me until we were able to get there. They also put on a third ramp and had it all ready to go when we got there. Great trailer for what we need it for. Great quality. We also bought a flatbed car trailer in 2009 and it still has all of its original everything and we have used it an outrageous amount of times over the years. We are very satisfied with the customer experience and quality of our trailers. Highly recommend Johnson trailers to anyone.

Called the office, told them what i wanted, he put my name on one. Drove almost two hours over. They said go take a look at it. I got back in office said I'll take it. The lady did the sales slip up while the other guy brought the trailer to office by my truck. He hooked it up and we were gone. Best price from Wausau to Colfax. Also plenty of in stock trailers to pick from . Other dealers were six hundred more with a smaller rated jack. One other had a comparable paint process and Johnson's was no brainer . I read enuff negative reviews I had to check um out myself. Thanks folks for the no messing around transaction!!!!!!!!!!!! Will recommend to others!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought a trailer brand new. Paint is peeling off. Don suggested "that is the nature of the trailer businees". The trailer is a nice trailer, besides from the peeling paint. The customer service not so good. Borderline rude. Almost act like you are bothering them.I received varitions of stories why I couldn't get the trailer in the color I wanted. In each story the lead time and price changed considerably. I ended up buying the black trailer they had in stock. That trailer has paint peeling. There is no warranty from the manufacturer for the paint peeling according to Don.During our second telephone conversation I also asked if they had touch up paint. He said it is just black and I could get it anywhere.During our third telephone conversation, and after my initial review, I asked for the paint code so I could get the paint matched. It was then they did offer for me to drop the trailer back off to have the paint issue reviewed. I asked if that meant to repaint it. He said they works have to review it. Awesome how a review works. ;)Now, just today, the lights when it on the trailer. At first no lights and then some lights but no turn signals and no brake lights or back up lights. I called and asked how long the weather was on the new trailers lighten. Don asked why? I asked, does it matter, how long is the warranty? He asked if I bought a trailer from them. I confirmed I did. He said bring it in and they will look at it.I stopped by on my trip home and they fixed the problem right away. There problem? Three bulbs burned out. All the same day, seemed odd to me. The technician suggested it was from road conditions this year. Okay, viable I guess. However, none of the other trailers I am using this year has that issue. So maybe, maybe not.The funny part of my visit today. Don was not interested in quoting me another trailer. He suggested in so many words he didn't want to do business with me again. One of his statements "I don't like getting bad reviews". I have Don every opportunity to fix the original issue but he did not embrace the opportunity.In conclusion, I would have bought another trailer from them. Mostly because it is a truely a flatbed trailer design. And the way the tailgate works and the jack design is second to none in my opinion.If he would have sold me a second one it would have been order in the color I originally preferred. I would have the lighten changed to LED. And I am not sure if it is just my trailer or all of them with the tailgate like mine, but the expanded metal grating is facing the wrong way to provide traction during loading. The way they have it positioned is more like shingles on a roof. Not the right way to maintain your footing.All in all though, the first bed design is exactly what I needed and wanted. I don't think anyone what offers it. The tailgate design good also. The jack is awesome. The paint jobs not so much. Look underneath, new trailers (I think it was 3-4 months old from built date), rusting in several spots. Handling, several scratches.If you but from them, look out over carefully. Don't expect a welcoming staff from these people or any real support. Well unless of course you write a review he doesn't like I guess.Now I have to find another manufacturer that fabricates true flatbed single axle utility trailers.

I was in need of a trailer and they had one in stock. Paid my deposit and will pick up next week. Also had the parts in stock that I needed to fix my existing trailer. Which was a pleasant surprise. Easy to work with. So excited to pick up my new trailer next week.Update: I was told the trailer wouldn't be ready for a week. I was able to pick up 2 days later. Absolutely love my new trailer.

Parents (whom are in their 70s) went there looking to buy a trailer. After looking at the available trailers, my father wanted to purchase one. He showed the ad that listed the price of the one he want and was told the ad wasn't valid although it came out in the last 7 days. Was told a new add would come out this week. Also told that price would be $700 more due to new tariffs, although the trailer was already on the lot and thus not impacted by the yet implemented tariffs. The gentlemen said if they didn't like his answers, then "take it to the voting booth". What a terrible business and one who tries to take advantage of older people. Fortunately, my parents didn't purchase from him......still a waste of their time driving over 2 hours round trip to deal with this poor example of an American business!

All in all, these people know their stuff, I went in for bearing for the work trailer, and wasn't sure which ones I needed so I brought the drum and old bearings, the guy looked at the hub quick and knew right what I needed and where to get it from the shelves, he was very helpful, and things went quite quickly, they have a really big selection of trailers and utility equipment items from flatbeds to dump trailers enclosed trailers and all assortment in between, by the looks of things they do alot of custom stuff as well... I give it a 4 outta 5 and not 5 because though everything else was really great, the price was alot higher than others too.

We were road side from trailer issues and able to limp the trailer to there parking lot. Was waiting for them to open and the owner chewed me apart for being disrespectful waiting in the parking lot for them to open so I could get parts.
