We love the personal pizzas at River Eatery! There are so many excellent combinations and the crust is TO DIE FOR 🤩 They have a few salads to accompany the pizza (we loved the Greek salad with lightly ROASTED tomatoes?!) and it’s nice that the portion sizes have increased under new management. 🥗 The fact that the restaurant is connected to a bookstore is extra sauce on the pizza pie. 📚Speaking of pie, save room and go next door to have a slice of Tilly’s Pies 🥧 It’s truly better than homemade! PS.. The restaurant gets very busy on summer nights and event weekends. Puts the nice selection of microbrews to good use.

What a fun spot! Our family all loved our experience here. An outdoor tether ball area, nice outdoor seating, great staff and selections. It is tough to find anywhere in this area of WI that offers gluten free options. Thanks! We will be back.

Delicious, but not so inexpensive pies w limited proteins (Tuscan) just got a little more expensive with an overwhelmed but adjusting new ownwership & staff struggling a bit to serve the floods of folks following the deservedly stellar track record here. Still the best pizza you'll find outside of Chicago. Go early. Or late. For now. They'll get better; be patient

One of our very favorite spots for a meal in the greater Hayward area. Customer service has always been superb. Good variety of beers on tap. Pizzas are delicious. Salads fresh and made with quality produce. The gift/bookshop at the front of the building is adorable too — I always find something there. Make sure to check out the pie place next door as well.

The best pizzas we’ve ever had, including award winning pizza in Italy and from Top Chef winners in Denver/Boulder! Pizza with some interesting & flavorful ingredients but not overly odd/weird combos, served hot, bubbling & promptly. Great sides & craft beer selection. Nice atmosphere inside, set up for easy ordering and individual menus.Lovely outdoor tables under the trees too.

We've been here before, a few times, but a couple years ago. This time and I'm not sure about all the rave reviews for the pizza, but they were each bland and boring, we tried 3 different items.. the crust is a good formula all other things were not. The tomato sauce too acidic, a meat pizza had little to no meat, pesto was incredibly thin spread and without flavor, extremely low to almost no cheese. For almost $14 per tiny personal little pizza it's over priced and underwhelming. To top that it was the slowest brick oven experience we've ever had. Sorry, we would never go back. I can't imagine how slow it is when full. And no this pizza is not as good as Italy or Chicago not by a long long shot. EDIT: Although making pizza with love is thoughtful, in this economic climate I want pizza made with toppings.

Stopped here on our way into the woods, lots of reading material, guidebooks and a few souvenirs. Coffee shop / book store vibe with a pizza joint in back. Good place to stop for a last minute flora guide or camp read. I’ll be back next time I’m up camping in this area.

Laid back atmosphere that you would be just as comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt as a 3 piece suit, friendly service, and THE BEST PIZZA I have had in like forever. A real must go place. If you walked through a book store on the way to your seat, you found the placeVegetarian options: Menu appears to have several veg optionsParking: Popular place without a parking lot, at busy times expect to walk a block or two.

Great atmosphere. Good service. When I visited there was a ton of outdoor seating which was awesome. Good variety of pizzas to choose from. I would love to see sandwiches on the menu. I think they could make amazing hot sandwiches. The pizza was great, wish it was bigger, but it was great. High quality ingredients in perfect proportions and the crust was perfect. I highly recommend it.

Pizza and salads are great, good beer selection. As good as it gets for wood fired pizza Up North. Be sure to ✔️ out the retro bikes and ski gear that adorn the walls as well as local artwork by disadvantaged artists. friendly staff as well, plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor. Great pizzas and an AMAZING staff. Highly recommended. The pizzas are both standard and unusual ingredients, so most are very interesting. A hidden very large jewel in a small town. Don't pass it by.Vegetarian options: Wonderful vegetarian options as well. Carnivores will be completely satisfied too

Wonderful evening at The Rivers Eatery. I am gluten and dairy free, and I know it sounds crazy to try and eat pizza with those restrictions, but this place was more than accommodating. The gluten free crust is the best I've had, and the service was even better. We ate dinner outside and our doggo friend was welcome. Great atmosphere with groovy people. Make this place a stop.

A wonderful restaurant with amazing ingredients!I really enjoy the wood fired pizza they offer. All the pizzas are personal size and could feed two people if you aren't super hungry. They have gluten free crust and goat cheese as special options. Also, lots of vegetarian options. Quality fresh ingredients make the food really enjoyable! They have other dishes besides pizza, but I haven't tried them [they sound wonderful].Just this spring they opened another business up front that offers all sorts of whole foods [like a food co-op/ mini grocery store], plus they have a coffee and ice cream bar.All in all - a really lovely place.

Best wood Fired pizza around. Excellent Ingredients, really great Staff.Save room for the awesome pie, but make sure to try the potatoe salad - hot, not cold, but baked in the wood oven, delicious, or the deconstructed Cesear salad. Enjoy !
