Terrible customer service! Any time I needed assistance there wasn't an employee for miles! I end up shopping longer than I expected, searching for things bc I get no help. Then bc I've bee. There more than 15 min, the employees start crawling right out of the woodworking so to speak, and begin peeking around clothing racks at me and whispering to Co workers. They clearly peg everyone to be potential shoplifters, and even put hands on me and attempted to rip my purse from my shoulder the last time I left there. ZERO STARS

Always like shopping here, but didn't have the best experience recently. We were approached by a gentlemen named Alex, I think, about applying for a JC Penney credit card. We declined initially. He was quite pushy about it, and touted that he'd check for an account for both my husband and myself. My husband has a card already, and apparently can't say no, so he agreed. "Alex" then came back and insisted I check for an account and I said sure because he said that we could use a deal of 35% off coupon on my husband's card. So, he has me enter my ssn to check for an account, which of course I don't have, and he tells me to update an account, address, email, the like, and confirm some information. Then it looks like I am going through the ending steps of a credit application. I asked about the credit check and he waves it off and basically says no big deal. It's not a big issue, I have good credit, but he wasn't totally truthful about the process. Either way, I get the 35% off coupon, and I am assured by Alex that I can use the coupon with my husband's card, and that if I don't use my card, the account will close in 30 days? Didn't make sense. We get to the register and try to pay, and I indicate that I would like to use the 35% off coupon with my husband's card, and the cashier let's me know that I cannot use it that way. We have a conversation about what I was told, and he apologizes after speaking with the manager on duty. He apologized again and said that it makes them look bad. All the other staff was nice, and it didn't make them look bad, just the guy that was dishonest to get more credit applications. So, don't let him be pushy, or ask for someone else if you are interested for real in applying for a credit card and Alex approaches you.

Really surprised that this place is still open. Once upon a time this was one of the only places to get nice clothes and jeans but now everyone has the same selection. They are way overpriced and they know it.

Amazing clearance deals and sales . They have their black Fri deals every weekend in the month of November. Same sales as black Fri so you do not have to deal with that crowd and you can enjoy your day off .

I stood at the jewelry counter with money to burn for what felt like 25 minutes before being acknowledged. Just to be immediately passed off to another employee who just stood there about 15 feet away. None of my questions were answered. On to another store to spend my money. 0 stars

Not a good experience at all. Hard to find a checkout stand, only two open in the whole first floor, and the one cashier was too busy talking to his friends to check us out. Had to walk to the other side of the store just to wait in another line. No prices found on the jeans we needed, ended up paying over $111.00 for two pairs of men's jeans. Ridiculous! Trying to shop local is just too expensive. Back to Amazon, I go.

Lots of deals. There is stuff everywhere. The aisles are packed with racks. It seems like everything is on some sort of sale. Good deals to be had but you may have to dig. Friendly staff and a clean store. Attached to the mall. Plenty of parking.

Store is like a sauna. Merchandise is cheap imported clothing trying to be sold at high prices after big discounts. I expect a huge clearance anytime.

Worst experience ever at J.C. Penney. Only 2 cash registers. No prices on merchandise. Jeans were marked at buy 1 get 1 for 50% off. Had to go to the other side of the store to get someone to ring us up, as the register closest to us had a cashier that was too busy talking with friends to wait on us. Total for 2 pair of Levi's was $112.00. that was with 50% off of 1 pair...never go back there again!!!

I only came here to drop off an Amazon return. Said drop off went well and I escaped Penney's without any impulse purchases despite having to go all the way to the rear of the store to do my business. Penney's isn't what it was in the 80's & 90's when I was growing up, that's for sure... :(

My experience at JCPenney's was fine I was able to find jeans for myself which I can't find anywhere in my size. However most of the pants you guys sell are all skinny jeans and if they say bootleg it's still a skinny jean with a small flare at the bottom of the pants unfortunately this was the choice that I had to make. it'd be really nice if you could sell regular jeans regular boot cut jeans for you know us that are not under the age of 20 that would be great. Also stocking should be a regular thing I was unable to find any undergarments in my size it seemed to be that all your undergarments were plus size all of your night gowns and things of that nature were also plus size a bit more variety and more options would be helpful. Your prices are a bit high but you do offer some great discounts especially at the register. My cashier she was very pleasant very informative and helpful throughout her interaction with me.

talk about an awful experience, i was shopping in the jewelry department and was being helped by a lady named Theresa … i don’t think this women has a kind bone in her body. so rude to me, had nothing but rude comments (probably because i look younger and didn’t think i would actually buy something). in light of her i walked away for a while and came back to talk with someone else, i didn’t catch her name but she was very helpful and sweet.

I love JC Penny's! I always find great deals, especially for my daughter who is almost 22 months old. I actually bought a snow coat and suit for her that was originally priced at $99 for $9! I also bought myself a really nice dress that was priced at $90 for only $12! I do buy out of season clothing from here, which is why I get such great deals! It is a great place to shop. Easy returns too. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I very much recommend to anyone!

I didnt find what I wanted. I talked to another customer. She was happy with her sales purchases. I was looking for sister dresses and the price was much too high for what I waa looking. I.it would have cost me eighty dollars for the dresses and I found two at The Children's Place for just under thirty.

This rating is due to a repair for a new bridal ring set that I purchased and very expensive. Gave the engagement ring to my fiance and 10 day's later had to send off for repair for a missing diamond. Due to us flying back to Florida the ring was supposed to be shipped to the jc penny's store there. After 28 days we finally got the ring after a great deal of hassle and ring getting lost and several times being lied to by Angie the jewelry manager plus being very rude and smart mouth to my fiance. Will never deal with this store again. Had to get the two store manager to get this resolved

Love shopping at JC Penney!Hope we don't lose it!Love the prices!I've bought several of my girls prom dresses there!My niece goes in there and can't wait till it's her turn to buy her beautiful prom dress!We buy alot of shoes there!I buy my husband's nice polo shirts there!I've gotten my hair cut there over the years!So like I said it's been a great store, so hopefully it'll stay around!The only problem I do see with the store is the women's restroom needs remodeling and kept cleaned up! It is always a terrible mess! With Covid19 running rampant, I would think they should have to try and keep it somewhat clean?I'm glad they have a restroom, because there are very few in the mall as big as it is?So Please don't close it! Just try to clean it up?Thank you!

Place is okay the people that work could be a little more people oriented. One of the workers there gave me attitude cause I was laying on a bed. I was testing it out while I was waiting on my grandmother to get done with her purchase. Instead of asking if I needed help with something I got instant attitude. When I got up to confront her attitude she just walked off, laughing with other co-workers. That's when I asked to speak to a manager, but I still think nothing was done....

Walked past a group of employees complaining about their job. Went to the register, EMPTY of employees. She walked from the group complaining. I questioned the price. I was incorrect and didn't want the items. I then walked out of the store with telling everyone within distant earshot that I thought the Bogo 1/2 off meant everything with a price tag. WILL NEVER SHOP THETE AGAIN.

I don't know what to say except I can't always find employees walking around, in an area close where I need it. The Sephora half is 50/50. Needs more people on the floor to help. It's complicated when I'm trying to find someone, but they are at registers or doing someones make up. Oh my god, the amount of times Sephora has one day sales but they let you know the day before or of! They have good sales if you happen to catch it by a stroke of luck. And they are out of things often and for long periods of time. This store is chaotic. Unorganized and messy. The dressing rooms are 50/50 in being kept tidy.The prices are too high when I can get the same item somewhere else for almost nothing. Getting the wrong order or partially wrong or it getting lost forever happens more often than it should. But when they have good deals, they are normally impossibly good.

Worst experience ever!!! The lady working in the shoe department was rude. Just because I had a pair of jeans and old t shirt, I was looked down at and judged. Once 15 year customer, Will never go back now. Such a shame, I have four kids, and use to spend 1500.00 just before school for there clothes. I guess my money is better spent at kholes. No wonder everyone online shops, and retail stores are closing. Train you employees not to judge so they treat your customers better!!!

Today I had a bad experience from JCPenney. My son had purchased a gift card for me for my birthday. The gift card was worth $185.46. It was for a hair cut, perm and coloring. We tried getting into getting it done yesterday. Couldn't get in but that was ok. The lady was very rude but I over looked it. We called back and they told me that my appointment would be today at 11:30. So today we got there at 11:20. They told me that I didn't have one until after 12:00. They kept giving me the run around so I told them that I just wanted the money back. They told me that they don't refund gift cards. They told me to go back to their JP Penney com desk. We went and they refused to give me my money back for the gift card. JC Penney stoled 185.46 off of my son trying to give me something for my birthday. Very upsetting. I can't help but to give them no stars.
