Dollar General has changed into a sort of small Wal-Mart overnight. I really can't explain. It has produce, actual HEALTHY groceries, real cleaning products. I mean I go with change but I don't know if it's just because I'm used to it and it just happened overnight or if it's because it's just so great and I want more. Some of the items actually slam the other discount stores pretty bad. I love it. I can't find anything and i stay for a couple of hours but the place is actually really decent now. I love the new model that Dollar General has gone with and I really hope to see some sort of expansion test store at some point but for them to be changing all (I'm guessing) the stores this way I'd say that's way down the road but with what they are doing now I'm all for it. Now if they can look at some stuff the branded items that they have kept and think about changing those it would be great but HEY, I'm telling you to go down and look what they've done. You'll love it.

I have never had a problem other than a person can not pick up anything over 300 on western union. That is my only complaint. The employees are nice and shelves are always stocked unless your looking for the penny deals then they always seem to be out. Great family place to shop and get the best prices.

A Relatively new dollar general (less than 10 years old),this store is clean, but the industrial type setting makes it seem to be much darker and dirtier than it actually is. The layout is not very intuitive, and is actually a bit confusing at times.

I appreciate that Dollar Generals are located in places where most big box stores aren't. You can't go too far in WV without passing one. They are generally easy in and out, not usually crowded, and have most of the things you would be getting at a bigger store. Also the prices on many items are routinely lower.

This is not a bad discount store. They have a lot of miscellaneous stuff to choose from. I would not advise anyone to buy there frozen food, meat, or milk. I don't think there freezers are very good. I don't buy things like that from Dollar General.

Hometown. Very friendly staff, helpful, chit chats, in depth conversations too. Honest and hardworking. The store displays all these characteristics. Very neat and orderly. Clean and convenient. Way To Go Guys!

When you need the everyday essential items Dollar General is my go to. Almost everyone has a store within a few miles if not a couple just around the corner from your home. Not always the best place for getting any assistance from a clerk but the stores are all very similar and usually not a huge line of people at check out makingYour shopping trip easy and best of all quick in and out and back home before you know it. I always pick Dollar General over any of the other Dollar type stores that dont compare at all.

The Dollar General in Smithers usually has everything you need! Sometimes they even have things that you wouldn't think that a Dollar General has,but best of all you can get the best prices! I have always loved some Dollar General!

This particular store is kind of a tight fit (crowded & small), but the employees are friendly. And they carry most of what you need at a good price.

The manager was rude.. she wouldn't help me when I asked where an item was . I go to this location all the time . She's not friendly the way a manager should be. Boxes were In the floor you couldn't move around the store.

It's ok but its turning into an overpriced store with no savings and when they claim they giving you saterday discounts only means they are having you pay the normal cost and ripping you off the rest of the time
