Most of the staff are friendly sometimes you can walk in and feel welcomed other times you walk in feeling like you are being judged and instantly profiled I can say only a select few employees that can make you uncomfortable. The store itself is always clean and well stocked the prices are outrageous not having a running vehicle sometimes I have no choice but to shop local when I do i don't make it throughout the month on the budget I have going to Walmart I can get all that I need and then some but at shop n save I have keep a very close eye on what I spending.

Neat country store. Great selection and fresh foods in the deli. Love the entryway with all the pictures of Salem thru history. Clean floors, looks Ike they were just done.

Shop here quit often anymore.Better than fighting the crowded stores in town . They have great tasting store ground sausage here and applebutter etc.I like to ride my bicycle on the rail trail nearby ,two miles are paved . Then I go hear to eat lunch at their deli. A great deli with homade pepperoni rolls and a variety of other foods .Relatively economical place to eat lunch.Clean store . Friendly staff.

Great store around. Has lunch and breakfast as well in the deli. Anything from meatloaf to biscuits and gravy. Always friendly people.

They have a deli with wait staff and hot food, and a bakery. Clear aisles, stocked shelves, and friendly staff. Plus, I can buy super donuts by the case. It's a bit pricey, but I guess when there's no other competition except Dollar General, I figure that's why.

I had not been here in years, it has some items that are definitely cheaper then walmart or other stores. It has fresh cooked food that was really good.

The hot deli used to be one of the best when they were still IGA. Since then the quality has sharpy declined and most of the food does not even look appetizing anymore. It is such a shame cause if I want good fried chicken now i have to go into Clarksburg to find it.

Great ownership and excellent prices. The owner truly gives back to the community and Grandma Jean loves to shop here on Monday's because she gets her Senior Discount. I enjoy pushing her around the store and meeting all our neighbors.

Great people shop here. Very clean. Good prices.. good selection. Right next to the farmers market.. very friendly cashier's. Manager let us take in donations for the veterans outside and we really appreciated it

Friendly, small town W.V. Except the guy on break who would not grab the 2 carts Iwas pushing back. He said "he was on break and not allowed to touch them." I said. "I don't work here and was being helpful bringing an extra back from the cart filled lot, help a girl out!" He touched the carts for the last 5 feet. Pity he needed to be shamed into doing so.

I Love working here.....its owned, and operated by the sweetest Christian family I know in town!If you get hungry while shopping, just stop back at the deli. They always have something fresh and yummy to snack on!

The staff’s all right, I guess. They raised a lot of prices, and you can’t pay your utility bills there any more. I do like the girls in the deli.

It’s ridiculous how rude the staff is, the prices are insanely above what they should be, I once went in there to buy something and the cashier was extremely rude to me as if brushing me off. Never buying there again when I can obviously just go to Price Cutters or Walmart.

I had to place an order and pick up for our local Church and the service was fantastic. The coleslaw was amazing everyone loved it!!! I couldn't have been more pleased

You could not ask for a better example of a family run business , involved in supporting their community! Mrs. Fluharty, even comes out to help pack groceries....Kevin and Karla are always helpful in ordering what you need or finding what you need. Even during storms that no other place opened, these folks did! Kudos! You may find the prices are a little higher than other big chain stores, but I will pay those prices to have someone who knows you by name, asks about your family, and supports their community!

This supermarket is in my hometown. I go here several times a week. They have about everything you need. I like this local supermarket, that saves me a trip to Clarksburg or Bridgeport when I'm off from work.Update: Salem IGA is in the progress of transitioning of new ownership and new management. The Salem IGA will soon be Salem Shop n Save.

Although I did give this IGA grocery store a 5/5, it was not just because it's the ONLY grocery store in Salem, WV.In this day and age it is very hard to find a "Big Box" grocery store that offers the personal attention and assistance a smaller, locally owned store does.From fresh produce to name brand items, this particular IGA hits the mark!!

Nice little country grocery store it has the basics of what one needs and friendly staff to assist. You can pay a few utility bills at customer service desk if you live locally.
