I’ve been working in Romney lately & this has become my favorite breakfast stop! Food tastes homemade & is incredible. Prices are too! The ladies that works there are always so sweet. Just make sure to bring cash, they don’t take cards.

This place is amazing. The atmosphere, the speed of service, the kindness of the staff, the smiling faces, the other guests - just an overall awesome diner. The food was very reasonably priced and tasted pretty good. But, it felt like you had gone to a friend's house for breakfast. My wife and I loved it. If you get the chance take the time and stop in. They are busy and sometimes you have to wait outside until someone leaves their table, but it is worth it!

The Romney Diner is a great place to go if you want some good homemade food. The people there are really polite and good at their hobs. The only things i did not like about it is that, they do not accept cards for payment, you need to bring cash, and they stay busy so finding a seat can be difficult. Other than those 2 small things, great food, great people, gonna be going back soon

We were down for my wife's birthday and exploring some of the local towns. We were getting hungry and my wife spotted the dinner. It's a cozy very friendly place where about everyone knows each other. The server was polite and very friendly. She made a few suggestions. We ordered and the food was prompt and hot. Everything was delicious and the prices were fantastic. I had something I hadn't had for a long time a cold fountain pop birch beer flavored the rich red color and unmistakable taste took me right back to my childhood. I honestly am not able to say enough about what a little jem this is. Stop in you will be happy you did.

TLDR: Traditional diner menu; friendly, fast service; good food prepared to order with daily specials; lunch under $10; limited seatingI try to find local diners whenever I travel for work because I figure the chain restaurants can live without my business, and I enjoy seeing the real personality of the towns I visit. Unless a daily special looks really interesting, my goto for lunch is a simple BLT with coffee, and that's what I ordered at the Romney Diner.The coffee was fresh and strong without being bitter, and refills were offered. The bacon in the BLT was crisp but not burnt, obviously fried that morning, and there was a good balance of juicy tomato and crisp lettuce with just enough mayo to add tang to each bite. The bread was unremarkable toasted white sandwich slices, but this is a diner, not a "bistro," so just that's just fine with me.This is a place I'll come back to whenever I'm in Romney, WV, and if I'm passing through in the morning, I'll leave home in time to try their breakfast. I'd like to see what their scrapple is like because that's something you just don't see on the menu at chain restaurants!

foods average. fries are horrible. do not call in an order to go because about 25 percent of the time it will not be prepared. roll the dice if you would like... you have been warned. nice people though.
