Appreciate the vast selection of plants, trees, etc they have all within the outdoor section of the store. I've also been able to get bulk mulch whenever needed and the staff was extremely helpful in loading my truck.

Had a blessed experience here tonight, had an elder fellow with glasses help me and i feel so stupid not catching his name but he deserves the world. Was so kind and helpful and overall had great satisfaction with his hospitality and customer service.

Been a week since I’ve asked for a phone call from the manager in flooring - her name is Ally. No response. Ordered $5500 worth of carpet and the associate ordered the wrong type and color even though I showed him the exact one I wanted. I was not given a paper receipt because their printer was broken. When the wrong carpet arrived, I was told by the installers that if I refused I’d have to wait another 2-3 weeks for the correct order. I accepted install because I was on a time crunch and had no other choice. I’ve visited the store twice asking for a manager to call me with no response from the person who can actually make a decision or give me recourse.Buyer beware. I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying special order items - especially if you don’t get a paper receipt and double check their work.

The particular location sucks. You can't walk in there and get all the things needed for even a simple project. Always out of stock on items. For all the construction in the area, it should be ready and stocked for multiple contractors to build an entire house. It's no wonder Carter lumber is taking the business.

Right next to their Santa that all the kids want to see is a life-size display of a horror character themed for Xmas. My daughter went to see Santa and the thing went off and she was terrified.I mentioned to the manager that this was really scary for kids and that they might wanna relocate it a little so parents can keep their kids away from it, and he said "yeah but it sells really well"

I had to drive from Winchester VA to the Home Depot in Ranson WV to get some barn wood shiplap. By using the Home Depot app, you can check the item in other stores to see if it's available and how many are in stock. The Home Depot in Winchester was out, but Ranson had 70 plus boards. I usually buy all my home improvement items from Home Depot. Everyone was very helpful in the store.

I asked the Home Depot text why there aren't any registers by the handicap parking in Ranson, WV. And the rude response I received was we don't put registers in the parking lot. Tried to email corporate with a copy of the text from Home Depot but it is an unmonitored account.

Went in today to pick up a Power Washer. They were way up high out in the Nursery section. I asked a floor clerk if he would get one down for me.He said not today, come back tomorrow.Went to Service Desk and got the same answer.I found the store manager and they proceeded to get one down for me.Thanks Store Management.....

Ordered 2 orders for curbside pickup today, one order was sent to the lockers, meaning I had to go into the front doors of your store, FYI this is not curbside! 2nd order we pulled up to curbside and called the # and Ext listed and got told I will be out to get your order #, why the hell did we have to call then? Associate came out NO MASK!! WOW is all I can say, less than 50% of the customers entering the store had masks on. Why isn't a mask made mandatory for employees and customers? Bad bad bad. This is not our first problem with curbside pick up and HD, we ordered preprimed molding, not only was it not with our order, but we had to wait weeks for it to be shipped, but it was the worst quaility I have ever seen, every single piece had to be sanded several times to remove the paint seams! Always been a HD fan, not so much any more!

I have never had a bad experience with this Home Depot. I know nationally there are some reasons for some folks to have an issue with corporate, but I do try and focus on the people on the front lines doing the job. At this home depot you will find good people willing to go some extra steps to help you out. That is something that you have to appreciate. Their deals are a hit and miss it seems. Sometimes you will find something with a clearance sticker that amounts to MAYBE a one percent discount. Other times you find something amazing that you are shocked no one else has grabbed up yet.

Every time you go in there they only have half the stuff you need and the app tells you what aisle it’s in and it’s not there. Save your time and go to Lowe’s they have everything you need and there app is better.

After picking up some items I needed, I decided to introduce my son to the tool department. The employees were extremely friendly and engaging. They talked with him about the tools, as well. My son was very excited about the large washer we bought as a souvenir.

Utterly disappointed with the level of incompetence exhibited by Home Depot Ranson. Made a very bad decision to order and pay from storm doors from this outlet, waited a month for the delivery, and took an entire day off from work to facilitate the delivery of the doors (delivery schedule 6am -8pm), only to be provided with one door of the two doors ordered.Home Depot, you just lost a customer!

This place really needs an attitude adjustment from their management to their staff, people hang up on you, they get annoyed with you when you ask too many questions, they take forever to give you your money back on refunds. We keep hearing that Staffing is the problem for a lot of stores which we understand is true but maybe if companies would pay their staff a little better they would stick around longer and not be so annoyed when customers need help. We understand not all people are on the same scale when it comes to pay with their levels of knowledge but those who do have a better understanding of products customer base and who have climbed the ladder should be rewarded in some way in a company. Home Depot may need to go back to basics.

Great for Harry the home owner, but not for actual home builders. I gave the Ranson store my home lumber package.They gave a good price on the quote and that was the only good thing they did. They had problems with every delivery, reschedule of every one. Some of my deliveries had multiple reschedules because they didn't have enough drivers.I finally had to start canceling the remaining orders because I was just having to go pickup everything myself.This was not an issue from my side. I gave them plenty of time to get it delivered but they are just not set up for actual home builders like 84, Carter, Builders First Source is.I likely own the most building lots in Jefferson and Berkeley counties, second only to Dan Ryan so you would think they would at least try to have a good business relationship with me but that is just not the case.I'll still go there for the small homeowner things but that's it. I highly recommend that you do the same. If I help even one person with this post save time and energy I'll be happy.

Terrible! This place is hilariously incapable of answering questions. I went in yesterday and spent over 2k on tools. It took 2 hours and I basically had to help myself on everything. We went in today to buy a few more and a zero turn. I asked the guy standing outside if he knew anything about them and he said he would call someone. The “expert” got there and I asked him what the price was on the one I wanted. (It was missing the price tag). He stared at me with a blank face then looked to the first guy and said “do you know anything about these?”. So I said I would just go inside and find someone and walked away. I went over to costumer service and asked them to send someone knowledgeable out and they agreed. I then waited for 30 minutes outside and nobody showed up… so I drove to the one in Leesburg and spent over 5k at that store. Don’t waste your time at the ranson location!

This review is for Celeste in Customer Service on March 1st around 4pm. We came to purchase materials for a job we're getting ready to start & when we checked out, we asked to price match an item. The woman ringing us up said she spoke to a manager & they told her no. (We've had items price matched before with no issue) So we paid & I then sit in the parking lot & call customer service to see if the policy has changed. Celeste handled everything from checking with multiple managers, reviewing store policies & even taking care of us her self when we re entered to have it all fixed. She was excellent & handled everything with absolute ease even though I was very frustrated - not at her but just the situation. She deserves some recognition & hell even a raise because let me tell ya, most CS Reps these days are awful & I have no idea what she deals with on a daily but she was putting off so much positive energy & good vibes. Thank You again Celeste!

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING TO BE DELIVERED AND INSTALLED!!! They are 100% on taking your money and a flat zero on delivering your product. I ordered Andersen doors and installation in November 2022. Spent over $6,500.00. I had to call to check on the order to find out that it had been sitting there for a week! The installer comes to the house and unboxes a complete mess. Had to send it back. It's been over a month, so I call them again to check on the replacement doors and again, I am told that they are just sitting there. No one calls to tell you your order has arrived or calls the installer to schedule the installation. I am over the whole experience.

Store employee wearing a mask and had a big goatee sticking out. When someone walks up and asks for help-please try to do so. Muttering under your breath and waving your hand-then walking away from a DEAF person no less-not cool. Acted like we were bothering him to ask what aisle something was in.

I've been doing a lot of work recently around my house and home Depot has been my closest hardware store so I've spent a lot of time and money there in the last 4 months. And really wish I didn't have to. I was once waiting for 45 minutes just for them to bring a single cabinet up from the back room to the online pickup area. Another time my item was up front but buried behind 5 other large items so myself bad the associate had to navigate everything out to get to it. On a third occasion i waited patiently for an associate to help me get a nail gun which I assumed was up high with the other nailguns only to find out it was half the store away on a random display. Most recently I went looking for a toe kick for some cabinets. Website said they had 9 but the shelf was bare. Just all around I've rarely had a great experience at this store. Sometimes it's acceptable and I get what I want but just too many times of it being suboptimal.

I went to Home Depot in Ranson to buy granite countertops for my kitchen. The granite was to replace granite tile, which was there when i bought the home. I'd bought a condo in the past with tile on the counters and gone to another Home Depot years ago; the process was easy, they removed the tile, etc. and installed the granite, no problem. This time, the store had me purchase the granite, sight unseen. They didn't tell me what happens next; I had to pursue that myself. They then told me to go to Dulles to "pick" the slabs. I went to the warehouse in Dulles, but there was no "picking;" they had already pulled the slabs, so I could only refuse them, I guess. No one told me anything about process...after looking at these slabs, I went home and waited. I had signed in at the warehouse, and told them I was a Home Depot customer, which is all I knew to do. Then someone from Home Depot called to see if i had signed forms when I was at Dulles--i said no. So, I had to go back and do that. Their contractor came to measure and took some photos but didn't examine the cabinet/plywood interface. After that, the store called to say their contractor refused to remove the plywood/ cement board from the top of the cabinets, due to "liaibilities" and because it was such a long, laborious process. And they would not put granite over the plywood, so I had to reverse the sale. I then went down the street to ING Granite; they came and looked at the situation and said it would not be a problem to remove the plywood/cement board...and indeed, it was not a problem of any kind. It took them about an hour, and there was no damage done to the cabinets at all. What I can't understand is why Home Depot didn't say upfront that their contractor would not remove plywood/cement board from tile countertops...or that this was a real possibility. It resulted in huge inconvenience to me and lost them a sale...and as far as I can tell...for no real reason.

I have had issues with this store over the years. I can never actually find what I come in for, and most of the people that work here don't seem to care much about customer service.Today, I came in for a lid to my trash can as a wind storm took the lid and it is nowhere to be found. Unfortunately the store does not allow for a customer to only purchase the lid. You have to purchase the whole trash can. Which is stupid as I only needed a lid. When I discussed this with the cashier, she argued the point with me and was standoffish. Which is a common issue I have with this store.I have no choice but to come here for my home needs as it is the closest Hardware store around. But really, they need to work on people skills and allow the clientele to actually purchase what they need and not force them into purchasing unnecessary items.
