This store saddens me despite the great rock n roll playing throughout the store at all times. The prices are horrific. A jar of mayonnaise that costs $5 at Walmart will cost you $7.99 at this store. The sadness comes from the fact that it is the only store in the county. Most of the folks in the area are on fixed incomes and have no other choice but to shop here. It's businesses like this that contribute to the decay of small town America.

I was just in the store around 8:40 pm and I literally left my buggy in the middle of the aisle and walked out. If you have a sale ending tomorrow, don't go through the store over an hour before closing and take everything off sale. They were actually removing signs/stickers and items while we were trying to shop and nothing that was on sale was anywhere in sight. No displays, no signs, nothing. The hubby and I are very upset. I'd advise anyone reading this to try the Belington store or head to the next closest grocery store.

The food is over priced and occasionally, if you're a long time shopper, I'm sure you've gotten rotten meat. I once found a dead fly stuck to the side of a yogurt container.

For some reason . this is not the best place to save money .. They are more expensive than Krogers and . don't assume just by the name your going to save money .. This is supposed to be employed owned and by some of the attitude with some of these they have gotten a swelled head and just plain pathetic. While others stayed humble . thanks to the more humble that I still shop there at times

I get milk there and that's just cause it's the closest place and I don't want my milk to get warm. I don't care for their selection fruits and vegetables. No organic to choose and their prices are way to high. Rather just drive to next county over and support them since shop and rob has a monopoly on the supermarket that states no other supermarkets within same town

The place is clean, well organized, including the parking lot but that's it as far as positives. The Quality of the products is not that good (especially in the meat section; surprised to be honest since I was hoping for a better meat selection). Most employees look a bit depressed; fact which makes me want to get what I need and get out.My overall impression of the place was negative due to the main reason that the place is no more than an IGA, but Shop n' Save looks at itself as a Kroger, thus the prices.I've been at Shop n' Save 3-4 times and I will only go again in extreme cases if I completely ran out of food. Hopefully it won't be past 10 PM because that's when they close their doors. Luckily the real Kroger is 45 minutes away (better and cheaper enough to pay for my gas round trip).I sincerely apologize if I offended anyone.

Convenient shopping but prices are way too high. I try to wait and shop outside of town. There's no competition for this place so the owner charges high prices. Some items you can get next door at Dollar General for 1-2 $ less.

The only grocery store in town and they use it to their advantage to screw over the community with extremely high prices! We are 1 of the 2 poorest counties in WV. We have burn gas & drive to either Clarksburg or Buckhannon to go to Wal-Mart because we don't have a Wal-Mart here in Philippi. Just a few people who control the town make it difficult for all the residents while raising themselves above the hard-working poor people of Philippi!!!

I have to sit in car when I'm with him or go in by myself, I'm to slow and take to long so he sits in car. Didn't know taking care of someone was such a burden, especially when I was told the opposite. Good store.

Shop'n-Save had most of what I needed on sale, yeah. This is the only grocery store we have here, and I'm thankful it's here. The best days are there 2 day sales, though, they rock!

I like to shop and Save in Philippi but Belington is cheaper! The pick 5 went higher in price better off going to walmart! Philippi shop and save is getting worse I don't recommend shopping here

Does not enforce the covid mask requirements. Lady in front of line at checkout not wearing mask, talking and spitting on everything. As we were leaving five men came in together without masks. On duty manager did nothing, just sat with arm's crossed...had nothing to say to us when questioned about covid requirements and people dieing... disgusting. Won't be back.

Vegetables typically half rotten, new ground beef put on top of old to make it look better. Cashiers and other staff typically kind and helpful, poor business practices likely pushed by management.

This a rural community. 1 grocery store. They are friendly and helpful. The don't carry or are out of stock for specially items. Sometimes thing are on the shevels pass expiration date. They are getting better.

Prices are little higher than other Shop n Save stores, things stay the same like same sales, with it being the ONE AND ONLY grocery store in Philippi that sucks!!
