Received an auto ship order that I didn’t cancel after our dog passed. Took it to the store for refund. Cashier was very helpful explaining how the refund would be due to using PayPal. Then helped me find something for my cat

The store staff here are always super friendly. It's seems like they are always super busy helping customers which to that aspect they could never have enough hands from crickets to someone buying a new pet. They got you covered. They have dog training classes on weekends which is always a delight to see people come into the store with their animals. It creates a wonderful atmosphere. They also have pet grooming which I've never tried but could be convenient for some people.

Have alot of great sales going on. Got a really nice dog bed that was on sale for $12.99 I'll add a picture of it after. Was shocked on how cheap it was. N there betas were 20% off

Just a quick visit to get cat ear treatment and cleaner. There was none in cat section. Received help from a very nice associate. They helped me find an ear treatment and wash in the dog section that is also for cats. They helped find the right product for our cat, wash and medication. Apparently I didn't have a Petco Pal Rewards card, so the cashier signed me up. It was a very quick sign up process. Thankfully I was in and out of the some what busy store quickly.

Noel and I was in Morgantown WV for my doctor's appointment and we stopped at Petco to shop around and check things out.The store was semi crowded but it was clean. The staff was very sparse and only 1 register was open. They were having a few really good sells. I would go again to shop here.Noel purchased some items for her new Puppy. Definitely would go back here again

When I have been there the employees have been great and knowledgeable. However, today I have been attempting to call and get a hold of someone about what fish they have in stock so I don't waste a trip, I have pressed 3 to talk to a person...all 4 times the phone hangs up. So I am assuming there is a phone issue.

I had a 3pm appointment with the groomer Kathy, which was a 25-minute drive from my place. The traffic was bad, so I was running late. At 3 pm, Kathy texted me, checking if I was bringing my dog and telling me that there was a 15-minute grace period. I replied that I would arrive in 7 minutes. However, I got there at 3:15 pm, later than my estimated time of arrival. Kathy told me that she had to reschedule my appointment because I had arrived after 3 pm. I showed her the text message about the grace period and asked her why she texted me about it if she didn't plan to follow it. She told me that the grooming would take three hours, and her off time was at 6 pm. I told her that if she had already decided that she couldn't follow the grace period rule, she could have just texted me, saying that the appointment needed to be rescheduled because I was late, so I wouldn't have rushed there.At first, she blamed me for not calling her before 3, even though I knew I was running late. Then she blamed the system that allowed people to book appointments at 3 pm. I pointed out to her again that I had responded to her message, and sometimes, things can come up that are out of our control. I was late, but I acknowledged the grace period policy and arrived within the grace period. If she didn't want to do the job, she could have replied to my message, saying that she wouldn't be able to do it, and that would have saved me some travel time.Then she told me that she would take the job but might have to do it in a shorter time than usual. Her responses were unprofessional, and I couldn't trust her to perform her job. If there was no grace period policy, I would have accepted the consequences of being late and rescheduled the appointment. However, it was unprofessional for Kathy to bring up the policy and then refuse to follow it from the beginning. She basically decided to reschedule my appointment when she texted me but waited until I arrived to do it in person. After I pointed out the policy, she told me that my other option was to pay the full price for a suboptimal job so that she could get off on time.The store manager explained that because she is new, it takes her longer to finish tasks. However, I don't understand why everyone in the store found excuses to defend themselves when they clearly refused to follow their own policy. This was my first time scheduling an appointment with them. I am usually on time with appointments, but diffident circumstances arose this time. As someone working in the medical field, we understand that things can happen and people need to make arrangements to attend their appointments. Even when patients arrive a little later than the grace period, we still accommodate them. But somehow this grooming service is very entitled. I don't want to engage in an argument with them just to get them to make money off of me.

I have never had a problem with an employee. Their prices are a bit high, but usually you can find some good clearance. I had issues using an in-house coupon which was aggravating but she over ruled the machine and authorized it anyway.

We were looking for a particular brand of pet food. It didn't seem to be available in the aisles and aisles of food, but we wanted to ask in case we missed it. There were two employees deep in conversation with someone and they didn't seem aware of our presence. A third employee was rushing through the store and didn't pay attention to us either. We stood at the checkout until another customer walked up with an armful of pet supplies and put them on the counter. We waited a moment chatting with that customer, but no-one came to the register so we left and went to another pet supply store.TLDR: Clean store, lots of pet supplies, but no one to help us.

I have a picky eater here recently. I have just learned that you guys take back food if your pet don’t like it and let you keep exchanging until u find the right food! I think that’s awesome!! And your employees are just awesome!! You can tell some of them love their jobs. I especially wanna shout out to Meghan at the petco at the University Town Center, she was on register and helped me so much and is the one that helped me learn about the exchange policy. And has helped me through this journey with my pitbull. Kudos to Meghan she is awesome and definitely deserves recognition

Place has pretty much what ya need and easy to find items. Staff can be a little aggravating at times as they seem to stereo type certain individuals and watch them closely as if theyre in the store to steel item

I came in and had my aquarium water tested, was told it was really bad, and needed to do this and this and this to get it right, the only noticeable problem with my tank was Algee growth. They told me to adjust my tank temp to 70°, after loosing 10 fish, looked up the temps for my fish and it is recommended water temp is 75-80°, need less to say I'm frustrated with the amount of money I have given Petco the past year for pets and were lost due to poor advice from employees.

Fish lady was a bit rude, but hey, I'd rather be with animals over humans, too. So, I can't really fault her considering she was constantly going behind 2 children and shutting tank lids and try to keep them from reaching into the tanks.(NOT my kiddos, although they were with me) She was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to really care about the fish. Reptile tanks were clean, the climate matched the species, and everyone had adequate water. Kinda of felt bad for the birds. A child about 8ish was running into their cages and hitting the cage repeatedly. He. even pushed an older gentleman out of the way at one point. I was so embarrassed because I had my children with me and the gentleman made eye contact, surprised, and walked away. I think he thought that child was mine! They were quite busy, but there should be staff in live animal areas that can ensure their safety. I typically try to also shop small at pet stores, so I understand the mark ups for them. With that said, Petco is a chain, and pricing on some items can be steep when compared to even small shops.

They have such a great variety of items I have cats at home dogs ducks chickens. But I'm mainly use it for my dogs and cats....And a cockatiel and I've been there a few times and each time I ask if they will get male cockatiel and the answers are maybe never and I don't know. Plus I always talk to Pearl. I wish she was for purchase.

We go here to get my cats favorite treats! I recommend these only if you want your cat to never want solid treats again! She loves them so much she looks at me like ive cut off an arm when i try to offer any other type.

I like the stuff there for pets I've had and also stuff for my cat I still have. I've only had issues with two employees that were kinda rude. Maybe they were having a bad day so I usually give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise nice pet store for animal supplies!

Store could use a revamp. Seems dirty and like no one cares. A lot of merchandise on floor instead of on shelves where it belongs making it difficult to shop and creating hazards to people and pets. Be sure to check expiration dates on food you buy. Some out of dates left on shelves.

Always friendly staff but have not been able to find our cats food since COVID. Bummer, but we did get our dog a new harness that she loves! Worth the trip everytime!
