I feel like my dog absolutely did not like it. The kennel smelled terrible. We have boarded our dog in other kennels and none smelled this bad. They were also supposed to bath her before we picked her up. She had feces on her, and she smelled just like the kennel.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE THIS MAN LITERALLY IS SAYING MY DOG DECIDED TO HURT HIMSELF. WHEN I ASKED FOR FOOTAGE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED HE STARTED SCREAMING AT ME. TOOK MY DOG TO THE VET AND HE TOLD ME THERE IS NO WAY HE COULD HAVE DONE THIS TO HIMSELF. WE RESCUED MY DOG FROM DOG FIGHTS IN CALI HE IS SO SWEET AND HE HAS PTSD FROM BEING IN KENNELS ALL DAY. I WAS ASSURED HE WOULDN’T BE IN A KENNEL ALL DAY! THE FACT IS THEY DIDN’T CALL ME OR LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. MY HUSBAND PICKED HIM UP AND WELL THE PICTURES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. THE GUY THERE SAID HE WILL HEAL IN A COUPLE DAYS LIKE IT WAS NOTHING.

My experience with west valley kennels is an amazing one, I have four cattle dog husky mixes that board regularly with him. I trust them completely to handle the dogs as they are always well cared for and I appreciate the great communication with how the dogs are doing while boarding with them. My dogs walk right inside no problem and it shows me they trust WVKennels care and are in the safest place when away from home. It’s definitely become their home-away-from-home! It’s not very often that I find it necessary to share an experience, that is meant to negatively advance customer confidence and prompt them to seek alternative solutions. That being said, I feel bad, not for myself but for my beloved friend and companion that I had boarded at West Valley Kennel’s. My initial opinion as soon as I walked through the door was the cleanliness was subpar and that the pets were housed in a “just put em anywhere” type of philosophy. My fury girl is mid sized, and weighs just under 100lbs and needed a kennel size about 4x6 at a bare minimum. The day I picked her up, I witnessed her being released from a box that was just 24 inches wide and 24 inches tall. I have little faith that the depth of the kennel was 2.5ft. Deep. My pet smelled like she had rolled in feces and her fur was matted and felt filthy. When I got her home, she had diarrhea so bad that she had to stay outside for 6 days. She also needed to be bathed twice to remove the nasty feeling of her coat and the stink. If you have any love for your feline or canine pets DO NOT KENNEL THEM HERE! Very overcrowded TOO SMALL OF KENNELS, and NASTY CLEANLINESS. Thumbs DOWN 👎🏻

My three German Shepherd/Malinois LOVE Jeremy and Summer. After one weekend they went from being really anxious and overly protective of one another to the next weekend running up to them to say hi as soon as my car door opens. They even cry at the front door when we leave because they always want to go back! Jeremy has been able to give my 100lb stubborn cry baby a bath... something even professional grooming offices here in town have been unable to do! They allow my three to stay in one area together and will take them out to play together as well as have one on one time with them. We've used their boarding services almost ten weekends now and we've never had any issues or bad experiences. We have called to let them know we are coming and also just shown up. Kennels have seen have always been clean and animals with fresh water. Even when it was 110°F they made sure all the animals were comfortable with coolers, fans, and let them play in the yard with sprinklers. Because the dogs are allowed to run around outside, roll in the dirt, etc they can get dirty and smelly (part of being an animal owner is knowing that!) But they do bathe them if you want and the animals allow. The grooming room has had hair in it but that's expected and proves they take care of the animals their customers entrust with them. Like another reviewer said its like a family farm and comfortable for animals. Not like a sterile doctors office like some other places. Highly recommend WV Boarding!!

We traveled to Yakima, from TN, for a funeral - not a planned event. We had our dogs with us. We needed to board them for the day of the funeral. Their bordetella shots were due and Summer told us where to get the vaccine and to bring the dogs and vaccine to her to administer so we could board the dogs there. We did this and 2 days later boarded the dogs for the funeral. While the dogs were at West Valley Boarding Kennels they romped and played and roamed the vast area getting very dirty. However, as part of the boarding services, West Valley bathes the dogs before you pick them up so they are not full of mud and dirt. Not only was this entire experience extraordinary and easy, but Summer said that they decided to not charge us at all because of our circumstances coming there for a funeral. We would have paid $100 easily and were fully prepared to do so; but the charge quoted to us was $25 total for both dogs for the day (including administering the vaccine and bathing them). When we return to Yakima we will board our dogs at West Valley Boarding Kennels. They are truly DOG FRIENDLY and People Friendly!

I took both of my dogs this last week to West Valley Kennels. This was my first time taking my dogs anywhere. This was so hard for me. I cried for a day straight. The staff took absolutely excellent care of my animals. I called daily to check on them and got real and great updates. I so appreciate the care and love this facility took in taking care of my pups. Not to mention they came home smelling great from there little baths they received. I would definitely recommend this Kennel.

We brought our two dogs here for a brief stay while we traveled to the western part of the state to visit family.These folks are very upfront and informative about their services. We paid $25.00 per day for both our dogs that shared a VERY large kennel. They were impeccably cared for. Our beagle was given prescribed meds twice a day. They were exercised in a late fenced yard and given exclusive attention.When we stopped by today to pick them up, we were planning on taking them to a Pet pantry for a bath, however the staff had already done that for us!These people have been in the business for a long time and there's a reason for it! Consider them next time you need to board your pets!

The owners & management (daughter) are truly "dog" people. I got my Malinois puppy from them, so naturally it's the perfect place to board her. It's in a rural area off of Tieton Drive. Not sterile-looking like a Vet hospital, but homey like a farm.❤️❤️❤️

Last summer we brought my 2 year old Chesepeake Bay Retreiver here for 4 days while we went on vacation. While we were gone Summer sent me pictures of my pup playing in the yard and looking very happy. Not to mention when we picked her up she had been bathed and smelled good. This is the only Kennel I'll use! Thanks a bunch guys!

This has to be one of the most unique dog boarding place. I'm just saying it is out in the country, the building looks a little run down, but the family running it is absolutely awesome! They wash and groom my dog before pick-up and they have bailed me out twice when the other kennels were full. Love this place!

I have boarded my alaskan malamutes here on and off for 2 years. It is an old-fashioned boarding facility, but they love my dogs and look forward to them coming. They are very good! I'll take knowlege of how dogs function over a pretty facility every time.

We have been using west valley kennels for over 15 years, they know each dog by name when we come in and have always made sure to give each dog the extra special treatment they needed. Our dogs get excited when ever we get near there and will run right to the door to be let in.We feel they are almost part of our family.

When I got my dog back, he had a lump on his nose and a small spot that looked like it had been rubbed raw. When we asked, they said we must have done it to him.They also did not give him a bath like they say they do(or if they did, they used pond water), he smelled better before he went there.Not a place we would ever take our dog back to!

Horrible place to bring your cat. A friend of mine went out of town for about a week and a half and brought his cat here. While he was gone I went to visit his kitty and immediately as I walked into the room it smelled so bad of cat urine. There was 4 cats in there including my friends. One cat didn't have a litter box and the other cats hadn't had theirs changed for days. One cat had no water at all and another cats water dish was so filthy like it hasn't been changed for over a week. The water was moldy and turning a green Brown color and had fur and maybe urine in it. When my friend took his cat home she seemed ill for days and wouldn't eat but drank so much water like she hadn't had any for awhile. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAT HERE!

We won't take our animals anywhere else! The service is +10! These people love the animals, keep them clean, wash them before giving them back, along with their bedding! Jeremy and friends go way out of their way to accomodate animals and owner! Absolutely recommend them!

Me and my family just dropped off are dogs and they are great from what they have told us they clip and bath your dog before you take them home and they will call you if anything happens no matter how small and they have a vet that is willing to come to them and the kennal is a really good size

This is the first place to board your dogs. They keep my Yorkie and Dane in a large run. They wash thier bedding and shampoo the dogs before they go home.They love the animals.
