Small mom and pop restaurant and bakery tucked inside the Walla Walla airport. Friendly, helpful staff, standard lunch counter staples and nice selection of pastries. Excellent view of the airfield, comfortable place to wait for a flight.Animal rating: 2. None you could pet but lots of airplanes (birds)

A STORY OF HARD WORKING AMERICANS, WITH INNOVATIVE IDEAS, WHO NEVER GAVE UP ON THEIR DREAMS.... INSPIRING.This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.I went to the Hidden Valley Bakery on a Friday morning, 12/3/21, and it was my very first time.In one of my many duty trips I just happen to find myself at the Walla Walla airport... 3 hours before my scheduled flight. I was the ONLY passenger at the airport and I decided to have a nice breakfast and relax. At the Walla Walla airport there is a Bakery with a unique and very interesting story, the "Hidden Valley Bakery". I walked in and I had the chance to meet and talk to the entire family.... three generations. The server/bartender is their daughter, the pastry chef is the father and the lady that takes the orders is the Mother; oh, and I cant forget the cute little girl who entertains you with her poses while you are eating your breakfast. Here is the story: The Walla Walla airport is a small regional airport that operates on a seasonal basis and survives on regular passengers, not many, that now provides two flights per day only. Quite a few cafeterias tried to survive here at the Walla Walla airport, but due to the nature of the business, surviving on passengers only, hence highly fluctuating income, they all eventually closed down or moved out.The Hidden Valley Bakery's family went to the airport management and proposed a new business model, something revolutionary that would meet both the airport and the family needs. The new model consist of a Cafeteria with a full blown bakery built inside it, so inside the airport building. The Bakery produces many different products all year round and they sell their goods to the nearby businesses and communities; this guarantees a steady income for the Hidden Valley Bakery's family (which allows them to keep the Cafeteria open) and allows the Walla Walla airport's management to keep providing food service at the airport. The Hidden Valley Bakery idea has proven to be successful by a 7 years, to date, collaboration with the airport.Isn't it a Christmas story? The story was told to me by the owner's wife and it got stuck to my head.... a story of hard working Americans, with creative ideas that never gave up on their dreams. Inspiring and Magic..... that's what the Hidden Valley Bakery/Cafeteria is.I had a lovely time there and the old style look gives you a sense of family and comfort that warms you up even on a cold winter day.FOOD: I had one Cappuccino, one Blueberry tart and 2 croissants.... everything was absolutely delicious. I loved the Blueberry tart...Knowing that what you are eating is made right there where you are eating gives your food a special taste... a unique flavor that blends in with a sent of history and a sprinkle of magic.PLACE: While you have breakfast you have an amazing view over the airport runway and over the Bakery equipment. just amazing!!CONCLUSIONS: a genuine and unique family-run bakery..... where tradition and hard work are the main ingredients... You have to try it to understand.

This is at the Walla Walla Airport. So close to my house. I love the owners and their family that is here and there on occasion. Very nice people. Quality food! And it's fun to watch the airplanes offload their tiny group of passengers. (I hear from locals that they need to get the Seattle Alaska Airlines service to and from back to three flights. Vital for the local economy in Walla Walla!) Love that little Airport! I adore that Bakery. I will be a regular once I get situated in my new home.

Great place! I visited from the Tri-Cities and met Gilda. She was friendly and let me try something before I bought it to make sure I enjoyed it. Everything I bought was delicious! The fritter, donut, cinnamon roll, quiche, pie, cookie, and dinner rolls. I always look for GF bakeries that sell pastries vs. bakery items because it's easy enough to make cakes at home with a mix. I appreciated the variety of items and will definitely be back.

A cozy (wholesale) Bakery/Cafe inside of the airport, that is family owned and operated. They serve select beers and wines, a variety of grilled sandwiches including gluten free options. The food taste amazing, lots of unique flavor combinations and delicious drip coffee. Hands down my favorite bakery in town! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone gluten free or not, everyone will leave happy.

The owner was personable and kind. The gluten free options are out of this world. It had been years since I had a donut or fritters. Their gluten free tarts and muffins are also not to be missed! They also understand food allergies beyond just gluten. Highly recommend, and be sure to load up before you leave.

I've been to Hidden Valley a few times now and every visit is a delight. As someone with Celiac, it's wonderful to have another place I can go for delicious gluten free treats. The apple fritters are always excellent, the quiche is scrumptious, and the bagel dogs are a real addiction. Gilda is so kind and willing to work with customers on special orders. This business is a bit out of the way, but totally worth the drive.

Super nice people and awesome baked goods. One cinnamon roll was a bit dry and only a few gluten free donuts were available (where are the good ones?!). When you eat at a bakery you hope for a little more variety but our visit was at 11:00am. Smells wonderful! Could be located anywhere, but its especially good since it is in the Walla Walla airport terminal.

This place is incredible!! It’s accessible through the airport (before the kind security) and the woman who runs it with her husband is incredibly kind and informative. She certainly knows how to prep gluten free the correct ways and the treats are delicious!! I’m excited to come back to Walla walla and get my fav donuts asap!! Thank you!!

My sister purchsed gluten-free cinnamon rolls, carmel nut rolls, pecan pie and dinner rolls for the holidays. My daughter has celiac and is very sensitive to gluten. She had no reactions - and we all enjoyed the bakery selections. The pecan pie was the best!

Such a surprising find! I was thrilled to find a full line of gluten-free options at this little spot at the Walla Walla Airport. Got a delicious gluten-free bagel dog for lunch and a couple of fantastic apple fritters.

This place is awesome! They truly take care of celiacs & have GF options you won't find in other bakeries ie danishes, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, an assortment of pies & doughnuts, beagles, plus many many more & none of them taste like chulky gluten-free rice products! Owner/baker's daughter is celiac so they understand how important it is to keep cross-contaminations at bay. Come early if you want options, they sell out fast!

We have been a fan of their bagel dogs since we discovered them last year. Today we went for the United Way Tastiest Taco fundraiser and were amazed at the flavor of the beef tacos. We hope this becomes a regular item on the menu.

Went in to get my house mate some gluten free bread. The service was top notch and the bread is incredible. I myself couldn't believe the bread and donuts were gluten free. Will definitely be stopping by here again. Highly recommend.

Staff super sweet arrived at the airport early and they were amazing. The green grilled cheese does not come with egg but I asked to add and they did. Nice to know they make everything fresh and homemade. Love this little spot in the airport

Wonderful place to grab a bite. They support gluten free foods as their daughter is celiac, and have they two separate kitchens for prep. As a gluten intolerant person this was great to hear. The owner is a wonder ful baker. The options are plentiful and delicious.

I am very new to the gluten free life and I've been a little down about my choices for breads and sweets. I walked in to hidden valley and was greeted with a smile. The place smells amazing. I never would have guessed gluten free. I will be a customer for life.

Went in 'cause didn't have much time for lunch from work and it's the closest restaurant around for my job. Gentleman working was nice but told me they'd be closing in 15 mins so I agreed to get it to go. Asked for a grilled panini and was given a cold sandwich! Cold sandwich is not worth the same price as a grilled panini!

They have some very good loaves of bread here. And assorted other stuff such as sweet rolls that they do not ship off to the stores. People were very nice and friendly

Will definitely never order from this place again!! Was told 1 price and then they tried charging me double. I didn't authorize the charge and they still tried to on my card..... cupcakes were dry and customer service was exceptionally horrible!
