I visit Walla Walla once or twice a year on business, and I always make a point to stop here. Why?They have a very eclectic selection of books in my preferred genre - scifi/fantasy. More than that, I recently got the best book recommend I've ever gotten from an employee there. Sadly, I did not get her name. I went to the counter and described my favorite genre and authors (Leigh Bardugo, Philip Pullman, David Wong, Lev Grossman, Anne McCaffrey, Tolkein, etc.), and she was able to make a recommendation: The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang (great book by the way). It was exactly what I wanted and I have been very satisfied with my purchase. I wish I could give her a shout-out because everyone should get a book recommend from her. I'm sure from reading this review (if she ever does) she'll remember our interaction, so thank you for your recommendations, unnamed lady!In conclusion, I recommend this bookstore; for both service and selection. I'll be back next year!

We got to visit this bookstore while we were visiting our family and had an incredible time. The store is beautiful and has a huge selection of books. They were also having a sale while we were there, so we got one book free, essentially.Well worth a visit and on a great street with plenty of wineries and other shops. It’s a jewel!

This place is great. They have everything nerdy you could want. Their table card games are a great price. Some even cheaper than Amazon. 10/10 recommended. Staff is friendly

Book & Game is ALWAYS a fun time. I’m usually browsing the tabletop game areas, but anymore it’s been the kids books section that I’ve been properly purchasing things out of. Super friendly and helpful staff, a fun atmosphere, and a great place to window shop even if you don’t have something in mind to pick up.Also - while I’m posting a review, here’s a pro tip for holiday book purchasing: If you’re looking online at books to pick up, consider flagging them into a favorites list on that site in question. Anything that isn’t labeled as discounted on that list is very probably the exact same price here locally. Last Christmas, I had a list of book presents that I wanted to pick up for people, brought it in sometime in November, and then felt even better about my holiday spending!

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience. The lady that I spoke to on the phone was helpful and kind, however the lady cashier that “helped” me was the opposite. I asked if they offer a veterans discount and obviously she asked for ID. So, I showed her my Washington State ID that was issued by the DOL and she informed me that was not sufficient identification. Thank goodness I had my VA ID or else she wouldn’t have believed me, which I have never had to show proof of besides at the VA because it’s on my Washington state ID. I had to ask her how much it was because I wasn’t told. The price she told me didn’t reflect the price online and the receipt said nothing about a discount, so I called to ask about it and report the bad customer service. The lady that I spoke to on the phone was trying to get me to speak to the cashier that I dealt with, which I stated that I was extremely uncomfortable with. Then, management calls me and tells me that there was confusion on my end and that I did get the discount. Because of my apparent confusion and the lack of care of customer support, I do not feel comfortable shopping here again or going into the store. I wish that I could’ve just had it shipped, so that I don’t have to dread going into this store again.

So many adorable and fun gifts. They are always adding to and changing their selection so each visit is new. I could spend hours in this store! Lots of selection and cool stuff to find. We love buying gifts here. Great gem to have in downtown WW.

I have been going here since it was the Book Nook many years ago. My entire family loves this store for the many options of reading material, games, cards, and gift items! A dangerous place to come into because you will always find something you must have!

Im sorry for my review score but this place has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It’s a local shop and I’m glad that it has made it after the pandemic, but the reason they are open is because of the customers and this is what we get in return. I went in recently with my little sister to purchase a book and some goodies and the sales lady with grey hair and pony tail when it came to checkout, didn’t greet us nothing, I asked do you accept Apple Pay and she responded yes as long as it’s yours. in my opinion why would I ask if it wasn’t mine and who else would it be.

This is a great bookstore and more. They have all types of books, games, jigsaw puzzles, cards, calendars, journals and gifts. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll special order it for you. Be sure to join their rewards program! I've already been able to use $10 coupons twice! Support local businesses 📚❤📖❤📚

Was greeted as soon as i walked in. Was immediately helped for what i was looking for. Has a great selection of books, games, flash cards, etc. For children. Love the selection for myself. Only thing that I have an issue with is some things are priced extremely high in my option. Other then the prices i absolutely love this place. 1 perk is they have a point/reward program. Love it!

My favorite local book store. The staff are very friendly and they read their own books so they can recommend which ones they liked best. Lots of little gadgets and local soaps, and lots of various board and card games. The ONLY thing I don't like about Book and Game is that whenever I go in just to look, I always end up coming out with 3-5 things.

Went in with 2 of my friends, we were walking around the store and just browsing at books, an employee followed us around the whole store, mind you were ages 13-16 and because we were dressed a specific way "she accused us of stealing" and kicked us out with no proof or evidence. I was really sad and mad about it too theres some really good books there too. She also not only followed us around the store but down the street and was pretty much yelling at us the entire time.

This is one of my and hubby's favorite stops when we go to Walla Walla. The selection is great, people are fantastic, and the conversation is fun. 😊 Books, games, cards, puzzles, kids selection of learning tools and play, souvenirs, and much much more! We love supporting local book stores.

Cute fun store with so many fun things to look at and buy. Prices are to be expected for small town book store. My daughter and I browsed for over an hour, and even found some new games we'd never seen. Our only wish is that they had their raspberry candle burning, it was much more delicious than the smell they had at the time.

This book and game store has so many games fit the family to enjoy together. Took my 5yr old son there and we walked through there for almost an hour. They have puzzles, board games, tricks, brain teasers, marbles, cards, dice, kids building blocks, adult games, knick knacks, collectibles, rare gems, many books and art supplies too and so much more

Awesome little shop with a great selection of books and games. For its size it is comparable to Barnes and Noble in terms of selection. The staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, which is always a plus for me. One of my favorite places to visit in Walla Walla.
