The old guy's name that owns the place is Dwight all the bad reviews of him are quite accurate. I lived there for quite awhile, he allows people of low character with trailers older than 10 years as they require and a couple of years back one of these resident's friends was arrested, handcuffed on the parking lot of the store for drawing his hand gun and in 2015 there was a murder suicide at the park. He will be rude to people as many have said and I guess with 130 spaces at least when I was there $850 a month probably more by now, cause they were comparing prices at other parks that were $1200. I think you're better off elsewhere, he doesn't follow his own rules, he didn't even recognize me one time and was being rude to me for no reason. Vehicle limit was two per space but I was not surprised when certain people of a certain race would have four parked in their spots. Go elsewhere, there's no covering and your trailer is gonna cook in the summer.

It's a really nice place with a nice store with good selection of things reasonable priced good paved drive with gravel spots. Nice laundry room well kept with plenty of trash bins. A exceptional trail behind the park with access to the creek. A very well maintained park! And on a clear day you can see Mt.Rainier!

We have a elderly lady at church that lives in this park. My oldest son who drives but has a learning disability helps her by doing stuff for her including taking her garbage out for her. We only live close so it's no problem for him to get up and do things for her when needed. My son went to visit and take her trash out till his sister called to pick her up from school. So he didn't drop the garbage off when he left, he immediately went to pick up his sister. Later in the the afternoon he dropped off the garbage there at the park. The owner took a pic of my license plate screaming filthy words and actually hit my car when my son was driving away. My son can't or even know how to handle a situation like that. . He didn't even care to ask why he was dropping off garbage. We have garbage service at our home we don't drop off at this place, and wouldn't mind if her garbage was in our can but it was just emptied that day. His outraged was definitely something my son has trama from. He's afraid to even go there and help out for anything now. He thought he might be drunk but that is no way to treat people. What an awful man to treat someone that is helping out the elderly and giving them still a self of independence and it was good for my son as well. We told her what happened when we saw her at church and had to tell her my son wasn't comfortable going there anymore. The owner there is sick, disgusting individual!

Nice place to stay. Mostly gravel sites and paved roads. They have done major upgrades to wifi. Its available over whole park. The cable is digital so you need to check out a box and call to activate. There are quite a few channels. On a clear day you can see Mt Rainier. Store has long hours and a nice variety of snacks and beverages. Their rates are very competitive.

We stayed in this RV park for 9mos while I was on contract at the local hospital. Staff and owner were friendly. Park was quiet which was great since I work the night shift.Nice walking trail adjacent to the park, easy access and goes miles. Park is located in nice quiet area but all shopping is close within a few minutes.Beautiful view of Mt Rainier.Little store was convenient. We didn’t need the amenities such as laundry so no opinion on that.Only thing to make this park nicer would be grass. We will stay here again our next time through the area.

Poor experience trying to book with Heather. Not particularly customer friendly, tried to make it seem she was doing me a favor by booking early. A LOT of hoops to jump through for their extremely manual process. Wouldn’t recommend.

Lived here for a year. We love the park as it is convenient to everything, yet far enough that you feel out in not mans land. Nice river walk, trail goes a long ways. Nice people. Fair about electric rates...metered. Had a recent rent increase, but it is one of the nicest safest parks in the area. Honestly, really nice and stays full too.

My 4 year old daughter had to go to the bathroom. The old guy who is supposably the owner rejected her from going because he's racists. And doesn't believe in equal rights. I suggest you do not give service here, or your time. He's rude and makes sales that are outrageous. Very mean guy.

In an area with very few rv parks, this park is by far the most economical and cleanest around. Is it a full on resort?? No. Is it a very clean, well maintained, conveniently located park with fair pricing for long and short term stays?? YES! We have stayed there twice for extended periods and had nothing but good experiences there. Anyone who thinks they can find better in this area should absolutely do their research, there’s nothing better in all of western Washington! We will definitely be staying here again!!! Great store, with lots of convenient stuff including propane. Cable tv for free, and very reasonable price on electric service. Do your research before you bash on this place!!

Worst Campground in America! This would have been stop #61 as we traveled across the US. This stop was going to be a special 1 month visit to the Seattle area. we were a little reluctant to book at this particular park and should have gone with our gut and other reviews, not our checkbook.Found the check-in employee and the Park in general shocking!*They had no record of our $200 deposit,*tried to put us into a spot too small for our Rig,*tried to add on a $ 10.00 extra fee for animals even those ours were going into a kennel. No on ever mentioned a fee for animals and not listed on their web page,*raised the monthly rate by $100,*the park looked like a rock quarry parking lot, hot, and not even a picnic table at the site*We asked numerous times to speak with the manager or owner and were denied. We were expecting to pay $750 a month. You can imagine our shock! This facility was definitely not worth that! but the agent became very rude and unreasonable and started calling us names. This is the first time in our camping experience that we have encountered such rude and unethical business practices. Campers BEWARE!!!

We stayed here for 2 months, mid April - mid June 2021 and we absolutely LOVE this park! Full amenities for your RV, laundry and shower facility very clean. The employees in the convenience store and owner of the park are very friendly and welcoming! Access to the Foothills trail for biking / walking is gorgeous. Highly recommended!

This is a rare RV park with year round camping and wonderful scenery . A river and a Jogging trail right next to it. Small town feeling with mainstream USA right up the hill. Staff is amazing. The park is well kept and tended to Wonderful management 👏

It is with sadness that we depart South Prairie RV Park. We wintered here and met some really nice people, guest and staff alike. The office staff (Mandy, Heather & Joe) were great! The owner Dwight, has a great sense of humor! The laundry room on site has 6 new washers and 10 dryers. The store has a small deli and the food is good! A creek runs behind the park and there is a lovely pond in the park. Overall, quiet and peaceful. Only four miles from major shopping. We must depart, but will look forward to returning! One of our favorite parks! Thanks to each of you!

GREATLY SURPRISED ME! I stopped in here as I was walking down the Foothills Trail into South Prairie the convenience of having the gate open at the trail is beyond cool. They carry a variety of stock from hot food to a nice bottle of wine. The clerks were friendly The Establishment was very clean and I was quick and easy in-and-out boom done.

Though my husband and I have not stayed here. We extended a contract with a hospital in the area. And was calling around for an RV spot for the next 3 months. I talked to the owner. she was really nice at first, and then asked if we had pets. I responded I had two dogs and one indoor cat. Nowhere on the website is it listed the restrictions of their animals. They only allow dogs under 40 lbs and only two pets per camper including indoor and outdoor. When I asked why the limit on the weight, as we have two Labrador retrievers one is 90 lb in one is 50 lb, she stated it was to weed out pet owners. I find this very rude and discriminating. And if this is going to be a well known RV Park in Washington they need to update their website to list their rules and restrictions on their pets otherwise I would have not wasted my time or their time to call.

Great setting near creek that was close to brand new laundry and shower facilities as well as pet area and trail access. Family and Veteran friendly. As a veteran living with PTSD I greatly appreciate how understanding and accommodating they are. Owner even helped me back into our slot!

Wonderful place to stay. Clean and very friendly staff. The owner is a very nice guy. He is always making the park better. I highly recommend staying here. It's close to everything but far enough away to be cozy.

This place is a COMPLETE JOKE!!!!!! To start off with, my wife and I own a 2018 43' 5th wheel, 2012 Dodge diesel and 2016 Jeep Wrangler. I would say very responsible Individuals for being only 30 years old. Now, we inquired about renting a site and of course the question "Do you have dogs" came up. I said yes we have 2. The lady said you will have to send pictures to the owner to see if he will "allow" them. I understand that every park wants to have respectable tenants and pet owners but to DISCRIMINATE against a animal that you have only seen a picture of is the same as DISCRIMINATING against a person because of their looks or ethnicity. As two professional managers ourselves, we consider this a HORRIBLE way to run a business. We provided multiple references as well as proof that both of our dogs, 1 large breed and 1 small breed, were fully vaccinated and highly trained. We emailed the pictures as well as lots of information, and within minutes, we received an email back from the SAME WOMAN stating that we were denied simply because of our dogs!!!!! Absolutely mind-blowing in the fact that people are allowed to run a business this way! WE WILL TELL EVERYONE WE KNOW NOT TO GO TO THIS RV PARK!!!!!

Clean and quiet, grassy area and pond to walk your dogs. Close to the creek as well. Many sites have a glimpse of Mt. Rainier. Free cable but have to pay for electricity. I have a 41ft 5th wheel and power runs me about $60/mo. 4 miles to shopping. My family and I are very satisfied here.

All of the RV sites were all level. Didnt have to do much to level the trailer. Very well maintained. No swimming pool. Would have been nice to jump in a pool at the end of the day. Nothing to do for children. No playground. There is a nice walking trail. Only one bathroom for the entire park. Nice little convenience store to walk to door goodies.
