Love Akins. It is a typical little city grocery store, but it acts like a larger city grocery store. They have a really good selection of items and they have a coupon system that helps make it a economical choice for local shopping.

All I can say is " bacon covered maple bars"!!!. They're the best part about akins in soap lake,wa. That and they sell everything from doughnuts to ar-15s. I'm just saying. Get some..their customer service is amazing too.

Update 2023:Went in today and they had an entire end cap of Pepsi products on sale for $5.98. I picked up 2 squirt zeros. They rang up at $8.49. The cashier said it was only Pepsi on sale for that price. So I grabbed a 12 pack of Pepsi and it rang up $8.49.She said she would sell it to me for the $5.98 and asked which one I would like. I told her the squirt zero. She said that she would not sell me the squirt zero for that price just the Pepsi.I was so frustrated with the situation and lack of understanding I left. I cannot spend my money at an establishment that treats it's customers this way.They are great until you need to exchange an item. They refuse to exchange or return items because of COVID. Even if the item is unopened and unused, such as a light bulb. I grabbed the wrong light bulb for my microwave. I am was willing to pay higher prices, but not when coupled with bad customer service.

For a small town grocery store Atkins does have an awful lot of selection they are helpful when it comes time to pack the groceries in Haul them to the car also

I deliver meat there and the other locations and the people are always so friendly and just heads up they make the best donuts they remind me of Winchell's donuts

Horrible!!! Went to hike Lake Lanore Caves and stopped at Atkins for snacks..it was dark when we finished hiking and the kids started to eat the muffins they got from this store only to find out they were COMPLETELY COVERED IN MOLD!!! I stopped back here to speak to the manager and he acted like he could care less!! Horrible customer service! And there were multiple packs of badly molded muffins still on the shelf ..PLEASE WATCH THE FOOD YOU BUY FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN AT THIS LOCATION

This a great store! Always clean and employees are friendly and courteous! I would have given a five star rating but most of the time when i go in (in the early morning) there are no maple bars. You are usually out or Like today I asked how long before the maple bars are done? He said they had nothing to make them with. What? And it isn't the first time I've been told this. Maple bars are the big sellers how can you not make enough? Or have ingredients on hand to make them? Bummed out about Mae bars.😥

Working in East Central WA State cannot stop you from visiting neighborhood towns. It is like a discovery worth of your time. From just checking the area to what the town can offer, specially food and drinks.Akins Fresh Market in Soap Lake does not disappoint as they offer basic needs from groceries to hardwares to gardening.My first time here to get some of their must try tomahawk ribeye steak which my Mom fondlt refers to as the popsicle steak.

This place is super expensive. The guy at the deli cant count doughnuts or food and take 8 minutes to replace the roll in the scale printer. They have a decent variety of goods but the prices will hurt your wallet.

Akins is a small town grocery with a variety of items in addition to food including seasonal gifts and knick knacks, fishing paraphernalia, delicious donuts, hot deli items, wines, fine cheeses, and liquor. The people are friendly and always willing to help make your shopping experience a pleasant one.

Few nice employees most are very rude! Very over priced for the outdated stuff they sell from many years ago.. lies on advertising weekly sales constantly and charged full price No matter what.. I have seen bugs/mold in their produce/food items many times. I will not be shopping the Soap lake akins ever again and I let all my friends/family and anybody know how horrible of a gross disgusting establishment it truly is..I truly hope you all get shut down. Soap lake needs a better efficient running Grocery store then what has been brought to us.

This store has, in my opinion, the best employees, EVER! They are always more than helpful, and are patient with their customers!I'll give an example of patience!I'd say, at least, 3 times, I've made an embarrassing mess of yogurts, and even a jar of pickles! Each time, I was in a rush and would forget to grab a basket or cart, and would just fill up my arms with more than too much to carry!Rather than to go and empty my arms into a cart (basket was even too small), I'd carry on, with full arms, and drop items, causing them to break open!Of course, I was always at fault, and would be so embarrassed of my choice! I almost wanted to just drop everything and run out!Long story short.... Because of the patience, and kindness of Akins employees, I would stay and face the reality of being so silly!The employee would graciously, without irritation showing, clean the mess I made and do it with a smile!I have 2 favorite employees at this store! Ron and Ashlyn, if you see this, thank you for being so great and always wearing a smile! Even when I make a mess! 😁

Amazing local grocery store with fair prices and great selection! Very clean and well-stocked. Love the donuts (tip: ask for a donut “cake” for a birthday!) and other baked treats.Staff are very kind and care a lot. Love the kombucha on tap, too!
