There are a lot of homeless here who are bad however there is a couple I've talked to who are trying to get out they got jobs and are soon going to be moving on however one of the managers came to speak to them and was very disrespectful. Please keep in mind not all homeless are drug addicts some just dont have the finances after Covid and everything so while there is still bad please remember not all are and furthermore no matter who you are respect should still be giving honestly how that blonde manager treated those people just made me not sure I should come back. She was very rude and said things that just didn't need to be said. Sad that there are people out there that just don't have a good enough heart to show respect to those genuinely struggling and working their buts off to get out. Hopefully that couple continues to improve despite those judgements of people like the manager. Please keep in mind that not all the staff there are kind. And there is a lot of homeless but some are genuinely good people so please don't just judge. And keep an eye out of that blonde manager because she has a very bad temper and a very bad mouth. Thank you for listening and I really hope something will be done because that hurt my heart and was deeply offensive.

Todays experience was fine, checked own groceries, and got assistance for a item that was buy one get one, and needed clerk approval.

Had everything we needed except eggs. Used our rewards to get free sugar and would have gotten eggs if they had them. The store is a bit smaller than most but employees are friendly and shelves are stocked.

Produce is rotting or near rotting. Seriously the nastiest produce I've seen. Strawberries were completely covered in mold for instance. Go get your produce elsewhere.Prices here are steeper than other grocery stores.

5/10/24 I want to thank the manager working night shift. I called to make sure the deli was open. Was told they were open til nine o'clock but stopped making hot food at eight. I walked in and when I got to the deli. I was told that the only thing they had for cold cuts was pre sliced. I ask the workers for fresh sliced and was told that was all they had. I commented that the deli should have fresh coldcuts.I walked back up to the front of the store. And asked to speak to the manager. I explained to her what I had experienced. She smiled said really let's go see. We walked over to the deli. After talking with the two employees there they both said oh it was a misunderstanding. It wasn't a misunderstanding. I made perfectly clear what I was looking for. They agreed to get fresh meat cut for me. I asked for two particular products from one of their brands. I asked for him because they were significantly on sale. The gentleman who cut my cold cuts didn't listen to me again and caught the most expensive brand of cold cuts. When I asked them about this, of course it was my fault. I didn't explain it well enough. Okay so maybe I didn't explain it well enough but when I was pointing read at it how did that confuse him. The manager had actually come back around and saw what had happened and made them change the price from the the premium brand. They were trying to sell me to the stuff that was on sale. I could have been a jerk and I would have been if she hadn't come over and made them reslice it. I think her name was Deanna. I know it's hard getting good help these days. But not wanting to do the job that they're paid for because they had already cleaned that area of the deli is not good. My family spends quite a bit of money in Safeway. I could go to Fred Meyer QFC Walmart but I choose to go to Safeway. The manager saved them a customer tonight and I've been a loyal customer for over 35 years.

I like shopping here nice employees they don't stare at u like Walmart they ask if u need something and or need help and unlike Walmart the employees actually know where it's at but they do need to keep them regular 20oz redbulls stocked I hate sugar free lol

The worst experience as a customer & an employee previously. The management is horrible, yelling at employees, failing to do their jobs as management. The most toxic work environment definitely in need of new management

Safeway is Safeway. This one is rather small so it doesn't have supplies sometimes that I'm seeking. Staff is helpful and friendly. And there us a Starbucks Coffee nook in the store with a couple of table and chair sets where one cab stop by, meet a friend, have a bite to eat. Nice.

Deli counter person at the Shelton store not wearing his mask correctly. I see at least one employee like this each time I've shopped there since the mask requirement went in place. Tired of not saying something.Public safety first.

The prices here are outrageous!! All prices have gone up but this place is out of control!! 3 times for products you buy at nearby Fred Meyers. I've priced them. I love some of the staff but it's not their problem it the corporation. It's a shame so many seniors live down down and that's one of their knly stores to shop.

I would had gave this safeway a 1 star prior to covid but since the restricted hours they really have cleaned the store up so much. I do hope it stays this way.

Hate the parking lot, too tight, just like the aisles inside. Decent market with reasonable selection for it's size. Always have great fresh salmon. Produce is better than most, especially Walmart. Checker Tina deserves a couple of gold ✨️.

I've been in our town for 20+ years. The employees are wonderful here and you're always asked if you need help to your car.My reason for two stars is that the wait times are a joke... it's uncanny, really. I've been able to pop in and out but most the time the lines are 4 to 5, 6 customer carts deep on a Tuesday, Saturday, don't matter what day.And sale items aren't always marked correctly, they'll ring up the wrong price, or you grabbed something that didn't go with the deal, or this or that. Which ends up holding up the line. (This doesn't happen at other stores when I shop. I think it might just be confusing signage.)Also you do need to check the expiration dates for shelf-stable items. I've found a few expired goods before.

Great customer service, but lately there are fewer checkers at peak shopping hours. Good sales occasionally. The amount of rewards program coupon offers has dramatically decreased. Smaller selection of products and brands than other Safeway Stores in the area. Great ice cream aisle and Lucerne dairy products are superior. Starbucks in store. Good on returns/exchanges. Close at 1 a.m., and only the left side entrance is open after 8 p.m., lots of easy parking.

The lady that comes to help you when you ring the liquor cabinets door bell is great. She it prompt, friendly and super patient. Has a decent knowledge of her booze and is not annoyed by questions. I'm a bartender myself and people like her are awesome to have at the stores to quickly get you in and out.

I love my local Safeway. The staff is friendly and helpful. The selection is good and the store is clean.I like that the manager enforced the mask rule. No matter how you feel about it, we’re all in this together. Also the other day one of the cashiers was wearing the mask saying something to the effect of: we have to be the good we want to see in the world; we had a super nice conversation about it.Essential employees like these keep us all going 🙂 Thank you!

Lots of love for this place. Only missing a star because the parking lot is dark as my soul & has lotsa shady folks at night hours.... but never seem to be in the store tho... XD
