We've recently started daycare for our dog at Metro Dog and couldn't be happier with the location, team, and care. Our dog is excited each day at drop off and the team is super welcoming. Highly recommend!

So if anyone has gone on vacation with a dog, you know that you are limited on what you can do. We decided that during our 19 day vacation we would have one day where the dog was in daycare so that we can visit places where a dog is not allowed. I have a 2.6lb 5 year old yorkie. (This is important.)I started 6 months ago trying to find a place for her for one day. It took me four (yes, four) different daycare that turned me down. Two would not take a dog of her size because she would be trampled, one said that they do not take out of state dogs, and the last stated that they are full. Thankfully the lady at this last one recommended Metro Dog. I am so glad she did. They were so nice and very sweet to her. They accommodated her and honestly evaluated how she is with her staff and other dogs. I would recommend them to anyone.

So I have not been to Metro Dog exactly but I did sit in on the Metro Dog staff's "Walks & Wags Pet First Aid" class and it was excellent.It was held out at Fleet Reserve Association Branch 310 in Silverdale, WA, was a ten hour course and really was completely worth it.It's a lot of information but I really thought that everyone did a really good job of keeping us attention deficit folks on track. I would definitely recommend to all who can make the trip!

Metro Dog is a good facility with helpful staff. For our first day of dog daycare, they went through all the details and showed us the facility via cameras. They also took our dog’s food to feed him during the day and took care of play and rest time. We will surely take our pup for daycare/boarding here.

Hopefully I will have reason to change this review but they scheduled us on the wrong date.We visited on the date that I clearly communicated on the phone but they had scheduled us a week later, after our vacation. They weren't willing to accomodate. Now we will need to find somewhere else two days before our vacation.

If I could leave negative stars I would. We left our dog with Metro Dog for 32 hours and we managed to have to take him to the vet for two separate issues the next day.1) Our dog had a hot spot we were trying to have him avoid licking. We instructed staff to keep an eye out and if they were not able to stop him from licking to at least let us know if he was doing it. Staff did not notify us upon picking him up, nor stop him from licking, as we had to take him into the vet as the hot spot got infected.2) Our dog also returned to our care with a limp. Upon examination it appeared that the skin on his paw pads was raw and torn up. The day we left him was extremely hot and I imagine the staff did not attempt to protect the dogs’ paw pads letting them run around. This is conjecture but, when we picked him up, we were not notified that anything was wrong, so we have to guess. The limping was clear as day. We tried to call them the next day to find out what happened, no answer.This is simply negligent. I truly hope this business gets investigated by the appropriate regulatory bodies to get them to clean their act up or to shut them down. Suffice it to say, please never leave your animal with these people. It’s not worth the risk.

Great customer care! Prompt, professional, and kind. During his recent boarding they were able to accommodate my dog's staggered med schedule, which most places rarely do. I love that most of the staff is first aid certified for dogs. The hours are great and prices are comparable to other facilities nearby. They give you a good report back of how your dog did. I goofily added hearts to the labels on my dog's gear for his most recent boarding and they needed to add new labels for some reason, but they added the hearts to his name on the re-writes. One of those sweet extra touches that brought a smile to my face.Docked a star because a few times I've gone there there's been a strong dog pee odor- it was obviously cleaned up/sanitized, but the smell persisted, so maybe some extra focus there. My dog always comes home smelling fine. It'd be nice if there were some natural outdoor space for the pups, but, in the middle of Seattle, greenspace is not easy to come by.

Took in my 6-month old puppy for 2 weeks. Was worried about boarding him, since he’s never been boarded before. He loves it there- he gets to meet tons of other friends, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and will handle any feeding guidelines you provide.

I cannot begin to start how happy I am with Metro dog I was a new dog owner in April and very nervous about daycare. They were very reassuring, and with each day Harley spent at Metro dog her confidence began to increase. At first she was nervous too but now she is wagging her tail, and eager to go in every time we drop her off. She has boarded twice now and every time she comes home, she is clean happy and exhausted. Which is fantastic because we know she is having a great time playing with all her dog friends. I cannot recommend this place enough.

My family and I were in desperate need of finding a boarding place for our dog. Metro Dog responded back after I wrote an inquiry to them and we set up a trial day. The staff have been great and our dog loves it so much that we keep bringing her back for daycare. Our dog comes back tired. At pick-up, the staff informs us that she had a great day playing with the other dogs. Will definitely keep bringing our dog to Metro Dog Daycare and utilize their boarding. Staff is superb and seems to be well-trained to deal with all types of dogs.

I'm surprised this place has so few reviews. I went to drop off my dog in October and the place was nicely decorated. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner and a few other people and they were very nice. I really like that they have an outdoor area for the dogs. That's where my dog feels most comfortable. My dog is also very skittish but always comes back happy.

Our dog loves it here!! He has made friends with some of the other dogs that also attend 'daycare' and the staff has shared pictures of him playing with the other dogs! At the end of the day he is worn out, which is a bonus for us!

After really difficult boarding experiences with Rover in the past, I am so glad to have found Metro Dog. My two pups had a great boarding experience and I left feeling at peace that they would be well-taken care of and safe. They slept for days after having picked them up from boarding. Would highly recommend!

Metro Dog is a great place to drop off your hound for a few days. I've been there 3 times and the past 2 my pup has gone bonkers when we pull into the parking lot. He clearly loves it and the rates are good, especially for an in city boarder. And yes, they will give your dog a bath right before you pick her/him up if you so request. Just nice people and it seems like an efficient and caring operation. Happy to give a review.

I take my dog here for day care and he loves it as soon as we get there. I have a nervous/anxious dog but whenever we arrive to Metro Dog, he's so excited to go inside with the staff. I love that they have couches and chairs so that he can relax when he's tired out from playing. He always comes home tired and happy. The staff are also so friendly and responsive over email and phone.

My young husky and my old pug love this place. It’s a nice place to drop off my high energy husky on days I know I can’t exercise him enough. My pug doesn’t seem wound up and anxiety ridden when I pick him up from here. He has a hard time with crowds but I think they do a good job of managing personalities. It is a bit more pricey than some at home sitters but I think they’re guaranteed to be well exercised and well taken care of if you drop your dogs here.

Far too many dogs at their place when we came for playtime. They had put my dog Rey in timeout for long periods of time, isolated from others. I would have preferred they called me to take him home if things didn't work out.

Metro Dog is absolutely wonderful! My puppy is very attached and loves to be around people, so that worried me a little with having her boarded, but they were so attentive to her and gave her the most wonderful experience. I called everyday while I was gone to check up and they knew everything about her daily activities and filled me in. I felt so at ease having Tobin stay there. If you are looking to have your dog attend daycare or have them boarded, go to Metro Dog!

My dog is a rescue and I was nervous at first about trying out day care because I wasn't sure if he'd get along with other dogs. The staff were so calming and caring, and assured me they'd do everything to make his trial day go smoothly.Fast forward a few months and now my dog LOVES going to day care. Once we turn the corner down the street in the car he realizes where we're heading and starts freaking out in the car. Once there, he doesn't even notice me leave and instantly starts running around with his dog friends. I think he likes it there more than he does at home! Thank you, Metro Dog, for taking such great care of my pup!

We have been using Metro Dog as our go to daycare for our GSD, for over a year and half now. He’s excited even before I pull up to the place, comes home exhausted but happy. The staff (especially Heather and Leticia) know him well and are always engaging amd welcoming. I really enjoy getting a verbal report/summary of his shenanigans throughout the day.

Our dog is a frequent guest of Metro Dog. They treat her like family and better yet, all of the workers here understand dog behavior, handle any issues quickly and without yelling or, god forbid, hitting. They all carry spray water bottles and a simple squirt and redirect calms everyone down. I love it. Also, they genuinely love dogs and our dog wags her tails and seems happy to see all of them.

The first day I took my dogs here, the staff had a full report on their activity for me when I picked them up. My dogs are visibly excited to greet nearly every employee there. For the holidays, they gave me a card with photos of my dogs that they'd taken over the year. The level of care and affection and professionalism is the best I've ever seen.

I’m surprised this place is still open. I picked my girl up after a two-night stay and she had been thoroughly abused. It took days of rebonding with gentle massages and long walks to bring her out of it. She still cowers when we bring out the broom, shovel or rake, well over a year later. Im finally now calm enough to post a review. These guys should not be in any kind of dog business!

We have now been taking our little guy here for 11 months. He loves it! It is such a relief to know that while we re at work, out of town, or need a little break from our crazy pup, that he is taken care of and loved. I have only been taking my dog there for a couple of weeks but am very pleased so far. She is a bit shy and does not like being alone, so this is a good solution for me on days when I need a sitter. I like that the pen is open to the outside air for the dogs to breathe, plus it keeps them clean from picking up other dogs smells. And she can see when I am coming to get her....Very nice

Our boy has been going to MetroDog for a year and a half. He is so excited when we turn onto 16th Ave and he knows where we are headed! He is always so eager to get inside to see his buddies. What makes it even easier for us to leave him there is how warmly he is greeted by the staff. They’re obviously real dog lovers. Every time he shows up, he gets welcomed in with rubs and scratches in his favorite spots. He has a few favorites on staff and he licks their faces like they’re long-lost family every time he sees them. The team there has been understanding of him as a picky eater, and they’ve devised some tricks to get him to eat his lunch (some days). We are happy to have a safe and fun place our dog can spend his days when we aren’t able to be home with him. Thanks, MetroDog!

We take our mini Doxie here 5 days a week and he seems to love it. I've met most of the staff and they seem great, they make our dog feel welcomed. He gets very excited walking up in the morning.

Good place to take our dog for the day. It’s a little on the expensive side compared to what we were used to in the shoreline area, but seems to match the prices in ballard and downtown, though most of the other places have webcams.Anyways the staff here is very friendly and trustworthy and I feel like they make personal connections with the dogs so you feel safe about leaving them here.
