I’m new to the area and didn’t know I was walking into the most welcoming and friendly fly shop I’ve ever stopped in when I arrive at Crow Creek Fly Shop.When I introduced myself and showed them my setup, they immediately offered to replace my unsafe (illegal!) catch-net for one of theirs AT COST, I was blown away!After talking rods and flies for a bit, Robert, a regular and well seasoned fisherman, walked in and casually offered to let me tag along with him and fish some local, top-secret holes. I told him that I absolutely would, but that I didn’t have the right set up (I just have a salmon rod for now). The shop owner stepped in and offered to let me borrow Waders, Boots, and Rod for the day at no cost. We fished for a solid 6 hours *somewhere* nearby (sworn to secrecy!) and I learned SO MUCH, but most importantly, had a total blast on the water.Also— their adorable and sweet German Shepherd greeted me with a pebble, and if that doesn’t spell hospitality, I don’t know what does.THANK YOU Crow Creek for the generosity and treating me like family. I know where I’ll be buying my 5 wt trout rod, reel, and line.

We had so much fun on the Yakima River with Drew (McCoy) as our guide. We were visiting the area for the weekend and stopped in to chat with Troy about the possibility of a late reservation for fly fishing the next day. Troy was incredibly kind and gracious, making us feel comfortable and ensuring he would do his best to get us fishing! Sure enough, Drew took us out for a half day tour the next day. Given both of us were new to fly fishing, he was patient and was able to get us up to speed so we were actively fishing in no time. Even though it was high water and chilly we still ended up having an extremely successful day. We love Roslyn and will be back to see Troy, Drew and the pups!

Big thanks to Troy at crow creek fly shop. I Heard a bunch of great things about this shop and decided to swing by to pick up some leaders and flies im glad I did. They have a huge selections of flies and easily the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had in a fly shop. He gave me a solid 45 minute run down of how to fish this skawla hatch we were having and man did it pay off with my personal best Rainbow to date! Next time your gonna fish the Yakima from Seattle, make sure you make a quick stop at crow creek for a run down and to pick up the gear to get you on some hogs. Guaranteed you’ll have a much better time fishing if you do!

Went on a guided trip with Dave and Troy a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing time! We encountered rain, sleet, and snow. Not exactly idea conditions for a fishing trip, but much to my delight, they were able to get me into a position where I caught some very nice rainbows! I fly fish almost every weekend, but I am usually alone, trying to learn the ins and outs on my own. Spending time with total pros like Dave and Troy reminded me that fly fishing is best learned when taught by others. They were generous in sharing their knowledge and helping me correct some mistakes. They explained their fly selection process. By the end of the day, I felt more confident in my abilities. Crow Creek is awesome little fly shop with extremely knowledgeable staff. Definitely stop by if you are in the area. And I can't possibly encourage you enough to take a trip with these guys. You will have an awesome time and be a better angler for it!

Crow creek, in my humble opinion, is the only fly shop a person needs. I am brand new to the sport and used their guide service to get me on my feet. Since that experience I have been back multiple times and they have gone above and beyond. Everything from knowledge to knot assistance and more. It has not mattered who is working or why I am there, it's always been a spectacular experience with each individual going above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I am officially a crow creek resident for life!!

Great Afternoon on the YakimaTwo weeks ago, my brother-in-law and I set out on an unforgettable afternoon of guided float fishing along the Yakima River. We started out at the Crow Creek Fly Shop in Roslyn to meet up with Keel, our guide. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for the wealth of angling expertise and knowledge he shared with us.Even before we boarded the boat, Keel's expertise shone through as he expertly launched us into the sometimes placid, sometimes challenging waters of the river. Being out on the river almost every day he has deep knowledge of the conditions, current hatches, and hot spots. Using a fly of his own ingenious design, I quickly hooked the largest trout of the day – an exciting moment that, unfortunately, ended with the fish slipping the hook. A classic case of 'the one that got away,' as they say!However, instead of tossing it off as just a missed opportunity, Keel turned it into a valuable teaching moment. With patience and precision, he demonstrated the art of applying just the right amount of resistance to successfully play and land a catch, especially with barbless hooks. His explanation was crystal clear, and I'm convinced it will stay with me forever. As a result, the remainder of our afternoon proved to be remarkably fruitful as I applied this newfound skill.Prior to this excursion, my fishing experience had predominantly revolved around small streams in the southern Appalachians, armed with a short fly rod. Keel displayed extraordinary patience in assisting me with refining my casting technique while also recognizing and harnessing the skills I already possessed. His intimate knowledge of the river was evident as we navigated to the prime fishing spots, consistently hooking and landing an impressive array of rainbows and cutthroats, unlike anything I had ever encountered before.In closing, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Keel for creating an exceptional and educational afternoon. His guidance and expertise elevated our fishing adventure to a whole new level, leaving us with cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for the art of angling. These guys are great!!! Kyle was our guide on our float trip for our first time flying fishing ever. Very easy to work with very informative and easy going. Troy is great at the shop to talk to and very knowledgeable and passionate about this recreational sport! Everyone we have dealt with at the shop has been amazing. One of my new favorite places to come visit when we come to cle elum and Roslyn!! Definitely recommend them!!

Had an amazing fly fishing float with Crow Creek guide - Keel. Keel was patient with my son and myself, educated us on bugs, reading the river and proper casting. Not only did we hook multiple fish, but had a great learning experience. Hands down, he is one of the most knowledge guides on the Yakima River and an all around great person. You will not be disappointed.

Great experience fishing the Yakima river near cle elum! Trevor did a great job finding us holes and was very patient with my eight year old son and taught him a lot about fly fishing! Highly recommend!

We had a great time fishing with Troy and Guy! We had a bigger group of people (some of which with no fishing experience at all) for this outing that was a part of a business trip, and Crow Creek came through. Well organized, well prepared, and super nice folks made our experience a memorable one. I have done some fly fishing before, and it was immediately clear these guys are amazing for all skill levels. If you are looking for guide services in this are, look no further. We will certainly be fishing with them again.

Troy was incredible. Very knowledgeable and a great guy to talk to. Truly enjoys this profession and the nicest guy. We came into town for Memorial Day weekend. I forgot my waders st home and he was more than happy to loan me a pair. He’s not in this for the money. He’s in this for the sport and recreation. We will definitely be coming back. My kids walk down to this shop all the time to buy flies and chat. Everyone that works here is fantastic. What you get from this shop is worth sooo much more than anything you could find online - recommendations, tips, tricks, stories, stickers and friendship. We are leaving for a trip and Troy just tied a fly especially for my son and the area we are going to. The best!

After reading a few reviews of guide services I decided on Crow Creek and I was not disappointed. Keel was my guide. I told him that I was a novice fly fisherman, I had never done a guided trip and I was here to learn. He was great in explaining what I need to know and within 15 minutes knew what I was good at and what I need help on. 5 minutes later we had our first fish in the boat. Half way through the day we were a team working the river and where the fish would be. Just as were coming to the place we were going to pull the boat out we wanted to try one last hole. The fish we pulled in was the biggest of the day at 18". I would go out again with Keel in a heart beat!

Great fly fishing shop. Troy is very knowledgeable about all equipment, flies, and how to fish the waters around Roslyn. After a 10+ year break from fly fishing, Troy helped me get refitted, and also fixed an old Crown fly reel that had jammed up after years of not being used. Highly recommend Crow Creek for all your fly fishing needs!

Our family is visiting the area on vacation and rolled the dice with a guided fishing trip today with Crow Creek, floating down the Yakima River. Our guide, Drew, was fantastic. He was on time, organized, knowledgeable and extremely engaging and patient with our party of five that ranged in age from 8 to 70 years old. A really nice guy and he provided a memorable day for our family. I highly recommend taking a day trip with this shop.

Crow Creek made this gift reach far beyond expectations! Guy did an amazing job of coordinating the experience, and arranging for a riverside Salmon BBQ, as well as offering other options a for those who didn't eat salmon. Both Guy & Troy were there to meet us the morning of to congratulate us on our recent wedding. All three guides, Ryan, Nathan & Drew, did an amazing job managing 6 boisterous guests and picking the river section to fish that was the most protected when high winds were forecasted. The lunch was beyond amazing, with extra touches of cauliflower appetizers and homemade pie. This outfit made us all feel appreciated!

Popped in to Crows Creek Fly Shop after my wife came across the shop during a walk a few days ago. I had such a great experience! Troy at the fly shop gave a lot advice for the novice angler that I am. He also helped me rig up a net I purchased from him. Took us a few minutes to figure out but he helped all the way through. Had a ball today with a party of six of us and three guides from Crow Creek. In spite of nasty winds and slow bites, the day was excellent. Nathan, Ryan and Drew were all great guides. Lunch was a bbq on the river shore, with excellent accommodations made for those of us who don’t like fresh grilled salmon. Good humor, good organization, excellent logistics all made for a really great day on the Yakima River. If you’re looking for fishy, knowledgeable, organized and fun guides, don’t hesitate to book with Crow Creek. All of us recommend Crow Creek!

What a great fly shop and experience with the guide, Keil. I have been fishing the Yak since the 60's and have rarely hit it just right - but we did yesterday! Keil knows the river and he works very hard. Our day with Keil and Crow Creek was really exceptional. Nice to find a fly shop with such passion for fishing without and egos.

Booked a 4-hour "Intro to Fly Fishing" for myself and my 8 year old daughter who both had never fly fished in our lives. I worked with Guy who was very nice and he helped set me up with our guide Drew McCoy (sp?) who was great and very patient with myself and my extremely excited/talkative daughter. He took us down the Yakima river on his raft for a couple miles while we stopped at some good fishing spots along the river. I was a little nervous that my kid would be too young to enjoy but she had the time of her life and I hate to admit had a better cast than me at the end of the day. We would definitely do another guided trip the next time we are in the area. That and I'm now looking for an entry level rod to practice casting...I'm hooked.

I visited the shop with my boyfriend to buy some flies and inquire about the local spots. Troy was super helpful and beyond friendly, even taking flies out of storage to give us the best possible options. We talked for over half an hour, and he showed us some good spots to fish on google maps. The shop itself is absolutely adorable and quaint, even coming with a friendly dog! The shop also carries locally made jewelry, fishing nets, and other fishing supplies—all of which are super reasonably priced. Even if you arent a fisherperson, its worth a stop to witness the charm of the house and get recommendations about the area! I will definitely return whenever I’m back in town!
