They are so friendly and helpful. I love that they have an idea on what is happening up and down hwy 101 and have great suggestions on areas to explore or activities to try. It's a smaller store so they don't always have the exact brand I prefer but it's nice when they take what I like to see if they can get it in stock for me. Never disappointed when I stop by

They have the best food in this little store. If you're a tourist out exploring the peninsula, I would highly recommend visiting quilcene if for nothing else than to give yourself a delicious treat. Thier homemade doughnut balls are mouth-watering goodness.

Don't judge a book by the cover perfectly describes this little slice of heaven. As we drove up I almost had my husband turn around. Thankfully we did not and what we found inside delighted and surprised us. Gourmet foods, organic products, fresh and amazingly good bakery. We grabbed a turkey, gouda and cranberry artisan sandwich and went back inside for another. It was so delicious! We also got organic grapes, loaf of fresh sourdough bread, artichoke dip, 2 beignets, and 2 drinks and was $38.

When I had the pleasure to be a Quilbilly ( some many years ago)... there were 3 gas stations in town. I considered the Village Store to be the best! If Quilcene has a ' grocery ' store, this is it! At the time it was locally owned and operated by a few ladys from town. ( included my mother at one time). So I must say the service was great!! When I pass through town ( not nearly often enough) I will always stop by the Village Store! Hope they remain open for many years to come!!

This is the cutest little store between Hoodsport and Port Angeles, they literally have EVERYTHING, ranging from frozen ahi, speciality wine from local wineries, homemade cake, Blissful Wunder truffles, camping supplies, elevated deli food, huge selection of NA beverages and the staff is always friendly and helpful, even going to the back to check on product inventory for their customers.

not a fan of being ignored everytime i wanna buy something out of the case. i can stand around for 10 minutes but anything beyond that is unreasonable, especially if i you’re just standing there talking. please help a girl out here

I quite like this store. It actually has a really amazing selection of items for such a small store. It's out of the way, but if you happen to be in this area and need something, better stop! I even found my favorite rare and local absinthe here. Thanks quilcene village store for having first rate selections!!

Super friendly and exceptionally well stocked! Usually passing through on weekend trips, we always find everything we're looking for and are always pleased with the options. Lots of locally made ready-to-eat options as well as pre-packaged offerings. A gem!!

Tons of vegan options!! We got Beyond Sausages, pickles, and pretzel buns with vegan chocolate ice cream for our night in the woods nearby. Awesome that the store offers such a great bounty of obscure vegan goods. Firewood too. BUT, we got bread and it was moldy, when we noticed (we had JUST bought it and began to drive away) literally 3 minutes later we return and they can’t return it, so we get store credit and buy a juice with like a dollar left over, we leave it as a tip and the staff was just indifferent. Not rude, but not nice. An older guy who is there was nice, but check expiration dates and definitely watch out because the produce was bad when we went. Otherwise a great stop! Oort a potty bathrooms. Parking on site.

This wonderful little store had basics and treasures. Dessert (puffs flight) to brunch makings (see if you get the jest). My only suggestion is that they need to put a ramp or rails in front steps. One grab bar doesn’t cut it. And wonderful staff. Might have to visit on way out toward Sequim.

Extremely impressive selection here! The best country store I've been to on the peninsula. My vegan and gluten free girlfriend was able to find tons of quality items to eat, as well.

We had car troubles and the shop keeper went above and beyond to help us get back on the road. They also have a surprisingly broad selection of pastries, beverages and fresh lunch options. Makes me wish I lived closer so I could shop here regularly, but since I can't I'll just hope of you're reading this it will sway you to support a cool business!

They were charging .60 cents a gallon more at the pump then they were advertising. If it were maybe one or two cents I wouldn't have been as upset and probably not left a review. However after realizing it and stopping the pump I already spent 4.20 cents extra just from only getting 7 gallons.

Super selection of local organic veggies, coffee, and most of all the beers..... 120 Minute IPA! Amazing to see such a prestigious East coast beer representing us east coasterners in this corner so far NW. Keep it up, you'll be seeing me next time I blow through............ Whenever that possibly may be.

Simple and convenient, their ice cream that they scoop out for cones is delicious and even ordering a regular cone they give you 2 big scoops of ice cream which is plenty. The ladies that are usually there are quiet but nice.

This store is one of the reasons I bought land in Quilcene. It has an amazing stock, with tons of gluten-free stuff, which is a total joy for anyone with celiac. Local veggies, huge selection of cheese, even caraway seeds and nutritional yeast? Really, almost everything one could imagine!Responding to complaints about the porta potty: Anyone who knows Jefferson County knows it's almost impossible and insanely expensive to put in a mounded septic, so chill! Feel fortunate that they provide a place for you to relieve yourselves.

They are advertising $3.68 a gallon for regular unleaded in big lettering on their board out front, but charging $4.22. Nothing scummier in my book. Patronize a different, more honest, local gas station.

Awesome store!! Great fresh produce, really amazing selection of beer, wine, ciders and liquor (not huge selection, but little of everything, and GOOD stuff you don't see in super markets)

Yesterday, I went on a hike with my mom and sister (a fairly common occurrence). We stopped at the same ranger station we've stopped at a dozen times this summer to get assistance of some sort. As we were leaving, we asked if there was a bakery in the area. She told us about the one across the street, which we had just stopped at and found out that they aren't open on Sunday. ?!?! She then guided us to a gas station at the end of town. After walking out, I firmly announced that I wasn't going to buy pastries from a gas station. I've admitted it before and I'll do it again - I'm a snob. I've seen the "pastries" that are sold at quickie marts. If they aren't chemicalized up the wazoo for a year-long shelf life, they've sat in some plastic tray, hoping to be purchased before days' end. Yuck! No thanks! Plus, the gas station she told us about was in the opposite direction we were going.Ever the wise one, my mother reminded us that "town" wasn't that big, so it shouldn't take us that long to get to the other end of it. Humoring her (and since she was driving and I really had no choice) I got back into the car to see what kind of horror awaited us. When we found the place, I wasn't disappointed. It was some ramshackle building, covered in weather-worn siding and no windows to show what pathetic, overpriced convenience store wares he had. And that didn't include the lack of actual parking spots, the lack of signage, and the sanican haphazardly tossed in the back, waiting for a drunken teenager to tip it over while his friend is inside. But, Mother wanted to go in and check it out. Morbidly curious, I followed her lead. Surprisingly, we weren't accosted by the faint foul smell which can sometimes be found in gas station stores. The lighting wasn't aggressive or overbearing. We later found out that the man behind the counter was informed about his products, helpful, friendly, and eager - as opposed to the cookie cutter gas station attendance who really couldn't care less, as long as they get paid their minimum wage check at the end of the week.We immediately spotted the pastries when we entered. Huh. They looked like they might have been freshly baked by a local chef. Amazed, we moved further into the store to see what other treasures awaited. More baked goods and some specialty jams (Balsamic Strawberry was among them!) Further in we found organic cotton candy, kombucha, and fancy schmancy cheeses. Instead of having Hershey's Krackle, he had some hoity toity chocolate (my favorite kind) with flavors like "Peach and Pecan in Milk Chocolate" and "Orange Peel in Dark Chocolate,") In truth, he might have had the Hersheys, but I never went into that particular aisle. The end cap filled with the heavenly choco-wonders was enough for me.At every turn, we found a new and wonderful surprise - fresh produce, specialty sodas, even some drinks with chia seeds. And they were surprises. I was so sure of what I would find at that store, and I couldn't have been more wrong. It taught me such a powerful lesson. If I had had my way, I wouldn't have gone to that store. I never would have even driven to it, let alone gone inside. And I would have missed out on a treasure hidden in an unexpected place. If, for some odd reason, you're ever in (or near) Quilcene and in need of a quick bite, a healthy bite, or a wonderful treat, check out their Quilcene Village Store. You won't be disappointed. It's an oldie but a goodie - don't judge a book by it's cover. Heck - I even judged it before I saw the cover. After my adventure today, I'm saying I won't do that again. You believe me, right?

Many local cheeses, milk, produce, salsa, ciders, flowers, and baked goods can be found here. There are also many vegan and vegetarian options! Welcoming staff and owner.

This would get 5 stars of they invested in a bathroom. Making the ladies use a port a potty is ludicrous. EXPECIALLY the female staff.Otherwise, the local, natural and gmo free items are AWESOME. We bought a lot! Gass too. Almost enough for a down-payment on that bathroom. ;)We visited twice today.
