My daughter signed up for soccer for the first time, and it's been a "few" years since I've played, so I wanted to shop at a store where employees would take some time to show me around and explain what to look for in the various items we needed.I've always had a great experience at various Big 5s, so I stopped into the Poulsbo store first because it was closest. The employees at Poulsbo were clearly NOT interested in helping us out, even though I spoke with two separate people and asked specifically to be shown the soccer gear and for help finding the right sizes. I received zero help in learning about the gear and how to properly fit it, etc., so I told my kids I'd rather take my business elsewhere.We ended up at the Big 5 in Silverdale, and our experience was night-and-day different. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store and personally walked around to where the soccer gear was kept. The Silverdale manager showed us features and benefits of the various items, sizing guidelines, encouraged my daughter to try things on, and he and the employees checked in on us throughout our time there to make sure we got the assistance we needed. Silverdale Big 5 may be smaller than Poulsbo, but I'll pass right by the Poulsbo store every time after today's experience.

Got a pair of boots and shoes for skating for both my wife and I. Also got socks for us both and a couple of fun items like a crossbow that shoots darts and a cheap new pocket knife that feels like it punches above its price by at least 2 fold. Everything we purchased was decent-great quality for a fair price or cheaper than expected. Big 5 is a great place wish they carried a wider selection of firearms and ammo though.

Won't there to browse around with my husband for new scopes for our rifles and new sales that would be worth buying in the future since he goes through shoes so fast. The employees that helped us on our browsing escapade we're extremely friendly, patient, and informative. The guys working night shift are great employees.

Adora (hope I am spelling it right) has great customer service skills and attitude! Other companies need to take a page feom her playbook. She just is generally very happy and excited to customers, and makes you feel valued. 10/10

You can take your dogs inside!I stop in from time to time and they're always fairly helpful and friendly. They love seeing pups and please make sure to keep your fur faces on leashes.If you're going to buy ammo, you'll never find it unless you show up at 8:00 AM on Wednesdays. It goes fast and I've yet to buy any from them, I'm usually snoozing at 8:00.

I really really like it here. A huge age range for almost every sport! From Pool, to Track, Ping Pong, and Lawn games. And it's not too badly priced. And their subscription is ACTUALLY USEFUL! Gives your great coupons and deals and stuff.The location is a little hidden but it makes it perfect for locals. And of course name brand stuff is always pricy.The staff are friendly and they often are athletic and really know their product.Way to go Big 5!

Not my favorite place. Went in to get some ammo, I was basically verbally attacked by a homeless man in the store. That's not the reason for the low review, they can't help who goes into their store. But they have a small selection, and prices are pretty high. I won't be back. There's too many other stores that have what I want at a lower price

Big five always has deals that make the trip worth it. I can't remember a time I've walked in and not been impressed with the amount of quality clearance items at the ready. Additionally they carry a large assortment of top name brands and equipment. They offer everything from sporting gear to camping equipment.

One time I walked in there, and i was sicker than a dog. I was looking at getting a pair of my favorite LA gear shoes to cheer me up. A very helpful and handsome young man with good hair found the perfect fit for me. As I was walking back to the register i saw that they had orange Fanta for 75 cents! I thought, there's a deal i cant pass up, so i brought three bottles up to the front with my shoes. After I bought one, i cracked one open to ease my troubled and sick stomach. As soon as the bubbly drink hit my gut however, it instantly came back up, and I started retching and vomiting everywhere. It was just awful. The putrid stench of bile and bean and bacon soup hung in the air with a hint of Fanta lacing the scent. They were so kind, they cleaned up the mess as I hobbled out with my puke stained clothes and product. Such great service! 10/10

Got my shin guards here the person at the register was very nice and helpful when there wasn't a price tag she went in the back and found a copy with a smile on the whole time.

If you're looking for shoes over size 12, don't go here, they don't keep sizes over 12 stocked very well, you might find some, but very few. Other than that, amazing store.

Variety of typical items. We mostly buy average fishing items, a knife, shoes and when sports season starts maybe a couple odds and ends. Like a big water jug.

The employees are nice, they have a public bathroom, and they have a great selection of equipment. You can also buy fishing licenses here.
