I visited the Safeway store on the morning of 12/5/23 and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service, especially from the morning crew. A special shoutout to Morgan, who was overseeing the dairy section. Her helpfulness stood out remarkably.While at the self-checkout, I discovered a damaged egg in my carton. Without hesitation, Morgan, who was assisting nearby, cheerfully offered to replace it. She not only promptly fetched a new carton but also took great care in ensuring it was perfect. This level of attention and customer care is what makes shopping at Safeway such a pleasant experience.The staff here consistently display friendliness and a willingness to assist, making every visit enjoyable. A big thank you to Morgan and the team for their outstanding service!

hire more pharmacists!!!!!!!and bringing it up to the pharmacy sounds like you’re making the staffing problem their fault. they’re not payroll they’re not the ones making that call in sure they would appreciate a bit more help but y’all are too cheep and incapable of being accountable and accommodating to other customers who have the same concerns. do not just slap it with a generic response. its a small community with a lot of people who are older like there is a nursing home next door for crying out loud. SHOW UP FOR YOUR COMMUNITY THAT FUNDS YALL.

Very clean and organizedI stopped there for a doughnut in their bakery. I would recommend shopping here for groceries if you are planning to spend a few days in Port Townsend. Yet the employees seem friendly, it was easy for me to find without getting directionsThe only thing that is iffy is the parking lot. If I could, I would of gave this place 4 1/2 stars. Other than that, it was easy to find and it’s across from a McDonald’s If you also want a burger to eat after shopping for groceries

This a Safeway, much like other Safeways you have doubtless encountered before elsewhere. There is something to be said about reliable and consistent standards of quality and service. Good ol' Safeway. You won't be amazed, but you also won't be deeply disappointed. I just wish they weren't a monopoly.

Fantastic customer service. All the staff couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. They went out of there way to make fresh Guacamole for me today. I was so impressed and thankful for the gesture. I need it for a family reunion today🌱.

I purchased a few grocery items at your store yesterday. The cashier, Mark, stopped to count bills in an envelope under his change drawer before waiting on me. He spent several minutes doing this and didn't greet me or even speak at all. I waited patiently and eventually he scanned my items. I paid with my debit card and selected $60 cash back. He handed me the receipt and two bills. At first I thought he had made a mistake and said, "Wait a minute." I wasn't wearing my glasses so I had to look closely to see the denomination of the bills. He hadn't made a mistake - he had handed me a $10 and a $50 bill. I said, "Can I have smaller bills? Sometimes vendors can't change fifty's.". "No, he said, " I'm helping the next person in line." Of course I protested that he hadn't finished with me yet but he refused to fix the issue and told me to stand aside. I had to see the customer service desk to get change. I feel that your cashier, Mark, was super rude to me.

The Starbucks inside Safeway, was very crowded. Jayna was very rude and short changed us, didn't ask my name for my drink. So, when my blended drink came up and I was not informed. So when I finally got my blended drink, it was melting and separating (malted)And when I said something, Jayna said that what happened when you don't pick it up right away ( but, how was I to know my drink was ready? It wasn't called out)I will not be returning to the Starbucks She was rude and dismissive.Is her behavior how Starbucks wants to be portrayed?

Convenient and clean. The deli employees have attitudes and they all make the sandwiches differently everyday. They don't front and face often so product can be hard to reach.

Ill tell ya what... If your buying body wash, this is not the safe way to go. Unless you like getting bent over. Its a rip. Also if you order a triple shot cloud caramel macchiato from their starbucks section its gonna run you over $7.But i love you port townsend safeway! I go there every time im in pt.

Clean, well lit store. Never felt threatened by their clientele either in the store or in the parking lot, unlike at PH QFC. Also has two Volta spaces offering free EV charging (208 VAC via J1772).

If you are in a hurry, don't shop here. The staff here is friendly and helpful (5 stars), but the store is cluttered, dark and laid out in the oddest way. The produce section is not well-tended (beware of mold and fruit flies) and the checkout area is always congested--the line-up of customers waiting to pay is an obstacle for shoppers trying to go down the aisles. A similar problem exists at the pharmacy. I avoid this store which has just gotten worse over time.

I’ve been shopping here for years and I’m always impressed with how kind and professionally everyone is. I love that they have drive up and go so I can get what I need without going in but always love that when I do go in there is hand sanitizer and clean wiped down carts. They are rarely out of anything. We love Becky at customer service, she is always friendly, efficient and quick. They have coloring contests for kids and my 2 year old had so much fun coloring an Easter bunny this year!

That was one of the best burgers I've ever had (in the top 10 lifetime-best)! And the cole slaw was outstanding - I've never had vinegar-type slaw with such a smooth flavor! Excellent prices, decent service (it was very busy - I understand why) and amazing food make this a new go-to spot for me in Port Townsend!

The staff is awesome, the manager is rude to them if they take time out of their job to help a customer find a product. I was also told by a younish courtesy clerk that she was not allowed to use the restroom during her shift. Which resuled in a severe bladder infecfion. And too many bladder infections in a young wonan can lead to sterility. Not a good place to shop

It's a grocery store. Prices can be good on specials, but only if you give them your personal information so they can track everything about you. Otherwise, expect to pay MSRP or higher.

A little pricier, decent selection, produce section feels lacking... Gets very busy weekend evenings, but nice and slow in the early mornings. Love the self checkout. I know it means I have to work to check myself out, but it feels so much quicker when I have one or two items. There's a red box, and a Starbucks, too if you are into those kind of things. Great staff.

They had beer, which is what I wanted. One of the employees watched my bike when I went inside to buy that beer (and forgot my lock). It’s not five stars because the grocery store was too big and the beer was far from the entrance. Thank you Safeway

5/22/22 12:30 pm...Opportunity to use the bathroom. Waited a couple of minutes for a Handicapped male to come out of the bathroom on his electric cart. Gentleman said "don't use this bathroom" because the floor was covered in urine and now the tires on his cart were also wet with urine.I had waited for some time and the other bathroom was still locked. I had to use the suspicious bathroom. It reeked of urine and the floor was wet. I walked out with wet shoes. I was a little miffed. Just outside the door was a Safeway employee. I asked to speak to the store manager, Brett Payseno, but found that he was not available because he was at lunch??I left the restroom area and talked with another employee who stated the floor grout was wet with urine and people had complained about the restroom's foul smell in the past (See past ratings on this site reporting the dirty restroom)About 40 minutes later while checking out, I asked to speak to Mr. Payseno again. The checker said he was at lunch and could not be contacted.Does Safeway really care about their filthy restrooms for their customers? After the past rating about filthy restrooms, did Safeway actually do anything to cure that problem?

When asked a produce person if I could get a discount for old vegetables, and he answered very rudely he said " I have to pay full price or he rather give it to food bank". That wasn't necessary he could just no.
