Every time I go in there this one employee looks at me like I'm crazy and stupid. She is very condescending and unenjoyable. Looks like she's a high school senior or recently out of school. Dark hair, wears in a ponytail. The lady that runs the store seems okay. When she's not there, it's a different story. The product line is good but I have a master's degree, not stupid. I have a puppy that doesn't like the puppy food I got her, so it's normal to ask questions and get some advice on which food to replace it with. Is an all stages food really okay for a puppy?? I brought a bag of unopened puppy food back to return, I had just purchased it two days prior. If the receipt is necessary to return it, why don't the hand them to you instead of asking if you want it? Doesn't make sense. They started to give me a hard time but I was ' lucky' the other guy manager was there to help. I don't understand why I would be lucky, it was on my account - just needed the phone number to look it up. I'm in the middle of eye surgery, one eye at a time. The heavy set girl with dark hair in a ponytail looked at me like I was poor or inadequate because I had to pop one of the lenses out of my eyeglasses to see, since the one eye doesn't need it to see. I like going there, I'm local. But I don't like how I'm treated. The average worker there is a high school graduate. Give me a break. Nobody wants to be treated or spoken to to like this. Going to find the food somewhere else. That was my third time going in there. Why should I go back? Another bad business in Port Orchard. Customers pay the salary, hourly wage. Get it together, customer service should be way better in a small business. I went to them because I like to keep my money local when I can. That girl needs to be fired or educated on how to treat customers.I'm sure whoever replies to this will be nasty, just like all of the other replies. Maybe take a look at the reviews and make some solid choices. You have some issues that are real.

They had a couple of items but not what I was really wanting to get and offered to order them for me but would have rathered had it in stock since I am not local. I also bought crickets and most of them died within 16 hours. They are not local to me so can't just go back for replacement not wroth the gas.

Everyone that I’ve met working there is kind and eager to help.Some of the best selection of natural and wholistic-based pet food I’ve seen in a while.If you are looking to take a deeper step into your animal’s nutrition and not really sure where to start, Pet Town is the place.

Great store that offers a little bit of everything buy definitely focuses on dog/cat food and cat accessories. I do however get my roaches and worms to feed my bearded dragon. And they do have a section with some accessories for a quick pickup if needed.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff.. My dog had a yeast infection in her ear and I was told it was perhaps a food allergy.. I bought some drops for her ear , to clear up the infection. 7 days later, her ear is back to normal . I cut out wheat and corn and guess what? Her fur looks amazing and she is so much happier!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

I had to purchase a muzzle for my dog but wasn’t sure on the size she needed. They were very helpful and I was able to return the first two that didn’t fit her correctly without any problems. I truly appreciate their help after the stressful week I’ve had.

Kind of weird place to fire those voicing concerns of employee theft unless management is in on it. At least they carry quality product, can't say the same about some of the people working there.

I LOVE THIS STORE! While some of their stuff tends to be more expensive than big chain stores, that is to be expected. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and has saved me what could have been hundreds or thousands of dollars in vet bills. Helped me figure out my pomchi was likely suffering from food allergies (she was), helped me find a food that would meet her needs but was as inexpensive as possible (thank you), and continues to be a valuable source of information for me regarding my pups. I prefer to support small businesses, especially in economically hard times and I can honestly say this store meets my needs and my (reasonable) expectations. Thank you PET TOWN!

For a small store they have quite a good selection of food and products. They have a large variety of healthy foods (that you can't find in box stores), as well as healthy treats including some in bins that you can scoop out yourself...which is great if you want to get a variety of flavors. We had to get a soft dog crate last minute for my wife to take her miniature poodle on a plane with her, and they had exactly what we needed. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

[Edit]They are still a good place to go. Small business that's knowledgeable about their products that offer a decent amount of supplies. Prices are fair, slightly above a chain store but still respectable. They do offer more than the chain stores so it's worth going to.[/Edit]Always a nice place to go. If they don't carry an item on the shelves they can order it and it'll be there within a day or 2. Prices are good and people are knowledgeable about most kinds of pets.

Everyone at this pet shop is so nice. I love that they are locally owned and operated.Food prices are decent and within reason for being local.Always have my dogs food and they get quality foods in stock. Good treats and bones as well!Im so happy they are in the community!

Several months ago I was shopping and witnessed a younger employee belittling an older employee. I don't tolerate disrespect of any kind, especially all to see. If there was a problem it should have been handled off the floor and with a manager.

i love this store so much! the people working here are very friendly and knowledgeable and i appreciate that they take covid precautions seriously. :) they have a large selection of pet toys and food and it's always fun stopping in to find a new treat for kitty. so glad i found a nice local pet store to support rather than a big box store!!

First thing, since they’re pretty much the only pet store in town their prices are crazy high.Second, I just called to check if they maybe had something in stock before I drove down and without checking the representative told me that it’s not something she’s familiar with and that she’d have to look into it for me, but was still unwilling to check. Okay I’ll just go to Petco if you’re not even willing to check if something is in stock or not.

The gals were super sweet and helpful. Very honest and never tried to upsell me even if it meant they were referring me to a product they didn't carry but they thought would work better for my need. Not one of those scary pet store with all kinds of neglected small animals. They have fish, but they care very much for those critters. Totally a five star review.

My first time going in this little shop today. We just picked up a new kitten that was tinier than I thought and needed some supplies. I didn't want to leave the kitten in the car and was so happy when I pulled up in front to hear she was welcome to come in with me and I didn't have to do a last minute curbside pickup order. The level of care and knowledge of the ladies working in the shop blew me away. I feel our family is so blessed to have PetTown recommend to us!! I’m the owner of a dog, cat, and chinchilla, and we LOVE Pet Town! They have literally everything we need there and are always so friendly and kind! The prices are fantastic and rival the grocery stores, and I always love to support a local business when I am able! They stock high quality, healthy pet food, and their customer service is spot on. I walked in to pick up a filter cartridge for my fish tank and left with another cute little betta Jolly Rancher (they already name their fish - cute!), a new tank, and all the goodies thanks to two friendly, knowledgeable, and professional ladies who helped me. I've always shopped the larger stores for some reason, but you won me over. I will be happy to continue to support such an awesome small local business.

Extremely friendly and helpful! The nail trims are fast and cheap. They allowed me to hold my dog while they trimmed his nails, which was really nice of them and that helped my dog not freak out. Will come back again!

Small but friendly! It's nice not to have to drive all the way down to Gig Harbor to get higher quality pet foods. Everyone in this store has always been pleasant to me, and having some holistic options is great. The store is small, but it's certainly got the basics covered, and the employees seem to be more passionate about pets than your average chain store.
