I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Melissa at Happy Pooch. We adopted Oscar from the Whatcom Humane Society in September and he is very reactive to new people because he is partially blind.I really needed to get his nails trimmed and the vet recommended Happy Pooch. I was able to make an appointment very easily. I had explained about Oscar’s reactivity so she gave us an appointment at the end of the day when there wouldn’t be a bunch of clients or dogs around.I brought Oscar in, and as predicted, he barked at Melissa and her assistant, Madelyn. Melissa was very very patient with Oscar, giving him treats and speaking to him calmly and gently. She knew exactly how to work with him!!She led us to a back room where it was quiet and we wouldn’t encounter any other “triggers”. She really took her time letting Oscar relax and we were eventually able to get his nails clipped with lots of treats and encouragement!I am so grateful for Melissa. She is very experienced and very kind! We bought a punchcard and Oscar will return for regular “PETicures”!

We took our puppy (Rico) here after getting a recommendation from my sister. They have a puppy service that gets them used to being groomed. I was so very impressed and satisfied with Happy Pooch. Rico was so soft and fluffy and the staff was so very sweet and you can tell they legit care for the fur-babies. I’ll use Happy Pooch from here on out.

We have been regular customers here for several years. Melissa and crew provide consistently good service. Our animals are treated with respect and are groomed professionally. I have found the staff does communicate well to understand what you want done for your pet and are quite accommodating. Groomers have the difficult job of having to work with both the animals and the person who brings the pet in. Happy Pooch manages both quality grooming and customer service very well.Happy Pooch also carries a large variety of quality pet care products. Melissa does an amazing job keeping the most up to date and fun pet merchandise available; seriously impressive!! I don’t know how she manages such a quality groom salon and fun pet store simultaneously but she does!I have recommended Happy Pooch to many friends over the years.

These ladies do a fantastic job taking care of our pooches. Very dependable and results are always great. Sometimes hard to get in because of their success. Pretty high priced however.

They were very gentle with my pup because she's a little cautious of nail trims. They were very kind, explained a lot, and had a great store out front! Go check them out for toys, treats, and grooming!

The front desk staff is very unfriendly. After taking my two dogs to happy pooch monthly for 3 years, I decided to complain about being treated in an unfriendly manner every time I am there. The next time I went in, the owner told me that I need to go elsewhere for my dogs to be groomed because I complained about her unfriendly staff. They have also tried to over charge me on several occasions. I guess customers are just a number.

A-MAZING! We brought our 6 year old maltipoo in to be groomed today, and they did a wonderful job on her! It was her first time with them because her old groomer retired and she was quite a bit overgrown. They got her all squared away, and even sent her home with an adorable bandana and a welcome package with not one, but TWO treat samples she really liked! She's incredibly picky, so that's a miracle right there. Thanks to all of you at Happy Pooch from one very happy pooch! We'll probably be back sooner than her next grooming to buy treats. 😊

Took my older Australian Shepard/black lab in fir her first ever grooming experience. She walked out of the back looking amazing and I d never seen her so happy. They shampooed and deshedded her. Trimmed nails, brushed her teeth. We'll be come back for monthly visits!

We have a Goldendoodle who gets super nervous when she goes to the groomers. The last time I took her in, she apparently got really scared, and they had to put a muzzle on her. When I picked her up, I agreed to pay well above what they ask for a regular grooming, AND tipped them very generously. I thanked for them for working with her, and being patient with her. They insisted we bring her in a month later, and so we set an appointment to do so. Due to a change of job, I had to call and cancel that appointment, and told them I would be calling in to set a new appointment very soon thereafter, with my schedule settling down. I called in two weeks later, and they fed me a line about being booked out till August. I asked when the next available appointment was, and the gal said she had to put me on hold. She came back on the line saying that they wouldn't "take her on" if we wouldn't bring her in on their terms. I was literally trying to get her in as soon as possible, like they wanted. After paying higher than their normal rates, AND tipping them very generously, what a slap in the face! Take your business elsewhere!

The BEST grooming in town! I love that I can get my dogs grooming needs met, can find them the perfect food, and even sign up for a training class all in one stop. The owner and employees are knowledgeable and very helpful.

Literally the best place in town. I love that they remember my dog and I even when I call. If you want someone to take care of your pet very well, this is the place to go.Excellent customer service, excellent communication skills, and great hard work. Wouldn't trust my Rhodesian Ridgeback purebred anywhere else.

Ive been taking our aussie here for 3 yrs! Awsome job. Take my /2 rat, corgi to get her nails done, alway great! Never use petsmart they hurt her doing her nails! Manager said Anna moved too much! She's great never had issue with her here! Thanks staff, keep up the great work

We took our German Shepherd there to be groomed and when we picked him up they told us they had spotted something unusual on him and suggested we take him to our vet...So we got our Sam a appointment for the very next day with our vet and they were right our Sam had cancer we tried best to beat it but we lost him. We now have another German Shepherd and are going definitely taking him to see these great groomers soon.

Great grooming salon. Melissa is a excellent groomer who always has your pets best interest in mind. I also love that they offer toe nail tuesdays, and we can just drop in for a toe nail trim with no appointment needed.

We had a 1030 am appointment with this place that never happened. I get that groomers get sick or have personal issues that come up. But the time to tell a new client isn't when they are outside your business ready to drop off their pet.We were late and called multiple times to inform them we were on our way, and at any point during this conversation or the phone calls on our *very long drive* they could have informed us. Even the day before. This did not happen.So now, we are out 20 dollars in gas (which is a lot in these pandemic times), nothing was offered except an, "I'm sorry."If you treat customers like this when they're new to your business, how do you treat our fur children when they're in your care?Steer clear and find a more reapectful business to spend your money at.

This is a place that totally caters to your dog. The owner, Melissa, is also is a breeder and trainer so she and her staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions you may have. GREAT STYLING.
