Best Vet in Whatcom County. Dr. Bliss is a brilliant, kind and gentle veterinarian. Her accurate diagnosis and treatment plan successfully rehabilitated our severely injured and partially paralyzed doggie. The ENTIRE staff is committed to our animal's health and well-being. They are thorough and accurate with medications, testing and vaccinations. The clinic is clean, easy to find, and has plenty of parking and waiting room, which is large enough to accommodate the separation of pets.We have added a puppy to our pack. Dr. Bliss and her staff did a wonderful and thorough exam on Beasley. Their information on vaccines, developmental stages, feeding and socializing her were very, very helpful! We are so lucky to have these folks helping us.

I cannot rave enough about this place!My husband and I recently got the sweetest Australian shepherd and she came to us with quite a few problems that we needed to get sorted out at the vet and Whatcom Vet Hospital has the best people! I have not met a single person there who isn't kind, knowledgeable and extremely personable!Their prices are reasonable and their building is very comfortable as well!! 10/5 stars!

This place was so absolutely wonderful with every pet that walked in the door. When I took Milo back, they explained everything to me. I was given the option to split the appointment up to more easily pay the costs. They encouraged me, and complimented my dog raising skills. Nancy came out just to tell me how cute my daughters are and give them sticker. The signs were humorous and made the atmosphere less stressful. There were candles that were lit to notify customers when a pet was being put down

Great service! They were all very helpful for me as a new puppy dad! Information was given and they were very thorough. They gave advice on feeding, training and basic doggie stuffs an owner needs to know. Thanks guys for being there for my pet and myself! She’s a happy pup

My kitty is getting to be an old lady, and the medical staff and her Dr. (Donaldson) always treat her with careful concern, while being very kind to us humans. The doctor is approachable and answers all questions in a way that makes it easier to make health decisions for my cat.I am happy to have this vet for my cat's healthcare/elder kitty needs.My uncle has brought his dogs here for several years, he also has positive things to say.Finally, my mother brought her late cat here, and she trusts them above other vets in our area.Meow! 🐈🐾😻

My dogs and I were seeing promptly and were treated in a professional manner by all members of the staff. Dr. Bliss thoroughly examine both dogs and ordered appropriate laboratory studies. I requested copies of the records so I could submit my receipt for insurance reimbursement and staff provided those via email the very next day. I would highly recommend Whatcom Veterinary Hospital to anyone seeking high-quality care for their pet.

Dr. Bliss at Whatcom Veterinary Hospital is amazing!! I never feel rushed and feel as though all my concerns are heard. The rest of the staff has always been super professional and great every single time I come in. I have one dog who is fairly reactive and they go above and beyond to help when I bring him in by letting me stay in the car then coming out to get me and taking him through a back entrance. Overall, we love this Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Bliss!

"UPDATE" the vet reached out to us Monday morning after a private bowkay of flowers arrived and they said they were very very sorry that they had charged us and that should never had happened and they went ahead and refunded our charges, just wanted to update anyone who saw this. Sorry but have to give one star and although things happen I need to really consider weather I continue to use whatcom anymore, we are truly heartbroken that a little new addition Jasmine went in today for her spaying six months or so old and full of life and love and then I was called with the news she had passed away, we are so missing her tonight and although this is not about finances it is sad that a business exceeding far more a day then any loss that they or any business wouldn't wave this fee, she died in there care and nothing can bring her back to us.

I brought my new kitten in for some booster shots. The vet and the tech were so nice and so sweet with my kitten. They did a thorough job and gave me good advice on the best care for her. We will be back!

If I could give Whatcom Veterinary hospital 1000 stars I would. All of the staff genuinely care for your fur baby... They are warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them from routine visits to the emergency surgery Dr. Johnson just did... Dr. Johnson is my shining star, she saved my boys life and the quality of care he received was hand down the best I could have hoped for. She took the time after his surgery to explain everything to me. She treated myself and my fur baby with such compassion... she is just amazing. I recommend this facility to anyone who wants their fur baby to be treated like the member of your family that they are. At Whatcom Veterinary Hospital they will be, and they will receive the best quality of care. Hands down the best Vet I have ever had over the years!

These folks have a deep care and compassion for pet health, from the reception staff to the doctors. Dr Donaldson was able to see my dog (a Weimaraner) on short notice. She took every precaution and was very thorough in her examination of my dog; careful observation, blood work, in-house labs, X-rays, and fluid draw. She was clear and easy to communicate with, walking through every step with me. While at the end of it all the issue was determined to be a simple allergic reaction, the extent to which Dr Donaldson cared for and attended to our dog was remarkable. And the cost was very reasonable for the time and procedures performed.

New to area. They were great to the dog and getting all his vaccines up to date. Treated his usual ear infection and gave me preventative wash. Dr Bliss was very thorough explaining everything and made sure I didn’t have any concerns or questions prior to leaving. She also had to order cytology for a small histiocytoma and was super prompt following with the results.

They treated my cat with antibiotics that were not appropriate for the symptoms he was displaying and almost administered double the dose, did not give him a thorough exam and therefore did not notice the fleas he had on him, and he became so much worse after treatment that I had to take him to the emergency vet for proper care. I do not recommended taking your cat here.

Dr. Bliss is amazing! She spends the time explaining everything, I never feel rushed at appointments. She is highly educated, professional, not judgemental at all. I am so thankful to have found her! All the staff has been amazing here, they also get you test results quickly. I dropped off a stool sample in the morning and had results with in a couple of hours! Amazing! Very happy here. Thank you to all for being wonderful providers!

It was a great experience. Great customer service and most important, my cats (Buddy & Daisy) were well taken care of. Dr. Bliss and her Assistant took their time and did NOT rush through the appointment. I could feel they only have the pets health and comfort in mind. Empathy and Sympathy is very important and I will go back there with my cats without any hesitations.

We started going here a few months ago with our new pup. They have been great with communication and taking good care of all the vaccinations, getting her spayed etc... The building and parking are nice and easy to get there from Bellingham. We are good we ended up here!

For over 13 years I have taken several dogs for care to Whatcom Veterinary Hospital, but unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this clinic. It's not what it used to be. My recent experiences have been disappointing and it's time for me to move my business elsewhere.The quality of care for my dogs has declined and prices have sky rocketed (well above the rate of inflation), and I've decided to find a different clinic for their veterinary needs. I'm disappointed to have to leave, but I believe it's the best decision for my furry family members.Overall, I can no longer recommend Whatcom Veterinary Hospital based on my recent experience. If you're looking for quality veterinary care for your pets, I suggest considering other options.

Every Veterinarian Clinic right now in Bellingham is booked 2 months out, not taking any new patient puppies due to shortage of staff, or to be seen there, you’d need an in house referral by someone you know that attends the clinic.Not only did Whatcom Vet give off an amazing first impression but welcomed me and my pup to the office with such love and care. Very impressed with the veterinarian that saw my cat. She made it easy to understand and didn't want to have me pay more money than I needed to so tried a least expensive route first. She was very friendly and helped my kitty feel comfortable with her too. Thank you Whatcom Vet!!!!
