Took my golden retriever puppy to be groomed and after an hour they said that they were unable to finish or dry him. While picking him up I had 2 other people tell me that they often refuse energetic dogs. They still charged me $85 even tho they didn't finish the service. Would be nice to know this ahead of time or I wouldn't have booked here.

Thank you for your help today finding a bed and chew toy for my beast that can chew through anything he likes. The staff was very helpful and made my shopping a good time.

They are friendly and the customer service is great, my only qualms is that the dog section is far bigger than the section for cats. Our felines need plenty of options too, you know? It would be nice to have a bigger selection so online or longer distance shopping isn't needed. Some of their items are also a bit on the pricier side. I get my feeders from them all the time as well for tarantulas. They also get cats/kittens in often from the local shelters, so check them out if you're looking to adopt.

Fantastic grooming services. I trust Colleen with my elderly dog (13 yo). I can tell she is so gentle and patient with him! He always comes home happy.

Very helpful . Associate showed me a way to better clip my Dogs nails . When trimming hold your flashlight under the nail and it will show the vein better so your not cutting to short .

A bit more expensive than other big box pet stores but they have a good selection for the area. The groomers have always been super nice and I was able to get an appointment same day after my other groomer canceled last minute.

Great staff, very friendly & knowledgeable. Good selection of products and sale items. There's a grooming salon in the back of the store, too! Nice pet supply store to have in Ellensburg.

Great staff, always clean, and I’ve heard the grooming services are top notch. It’s a little bit spendy if you’re just looking for pet food since they carry top of the line brands but you get what you pay for of course. I like that they have products for reptiles as well.

This is a great, full service pet store with a wide variety of foods, toys, grooming supplies, tools, cages, pillows, etc... and a grooming shop for your favorite fur baby. I love the staff here - so willing to lend a hand, give advice, or just be nice on an overcast day. I tried the other pet shop in town, but the service there is not as friendly and the prices are not as reasonable.Honestly, I can't say enough positive things about this shop. I am so glad I tried it. My dog is happy, too!

The groomer is nice enough but has cancelled on us several times now, this time twice in a row. We waited two weeks to get back on her books and she TEXTS us letting us know she’s out for the day. I know of a couple other people who have tried to get their dog groomed and have had a very similar experience. This really isn’t acceptable at all. Their store is fine, but I recommend going to a different groomer if you want someone who is going to stick to their appointments.

Small to medium-sized pet supply store with easy parking and access. Inventory consists of all the basic, general pet supply items. This is not a "boutique" pet supply store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pets are allowed in the store. Has a grooming service.

When I shop at a place, I like to know that the employees are well off and treated fairly and it seems very far from so at this place. Instead of promoting someone deserving of a manager position within store, who knows the inventory and was close and familiar with many customers’ pets and needs, they decided to hire on a woman who is extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly. Its amazing that you guys can so easily take advantage of the college students you have working for you, who have rent and bills to pay for. But of course, as a corporation what can you expect? Only cares about the profit and nothing about the workers’ lives they screw over.In terms of the employees that work there, great experiences every time. They know what you need, they are friendly and they work incredibly hard. But unfortunately because of they way they handle management we will not be supporting or coming back unless absolutely necessary.

The new management/ownership has changed, I have noticed a huge difference. The store looks so much better! I take my dog here for grooming. Great team.

I came in for dog supplies for a dog my niece inherited recently, the lady that was there to assist Andy or Angie (sayler?) was absolutely the most inconsiderate unhelpful person that I have ever encountered in a pet store, or possibly in any customer service job. The pet shavers were mis marked for price, after deciding on one we went up to the counter only to discover they didn't even have that product. The woman was rude and mean. It was weird since we were there to purchase a large amount of pet supplies. We ended up going to Ranch and home, getting the same supplies at 1/3 the cost and their workers were an absolute delight.

This place is the best. I brought in my rescue to get her nails trimmed and their grooming center is superb. They work with the pet and owners to ensure comfort and ease. My dog is very nervous around people still and the employees there were very patient and loving towards her and gave her treats. I would definitely recommend going here for all your pet needs!

Today, the two customer service workers were absolutely helpful and extremely friendly and caring. We have been shopping at Petsense every sense they open in Ellensburg. Not one customer worker has been as caring and helpful as the 2 that were there today. Thank you for your sincere attention and help. You both are amazing at your job.

What a horrific experience. This place used to be wonderful, cheerful and ran with smiles.Between hearing the ambiance of groomers screaming and cussing at the dogs in the back while you shop and the complete lack of communication between managers and staff, I would recommend avoiding spending your money here like the plague. Many of us have tried to stay shopping local for so long, but unfortunately, the staff's complete lack of customer service skills no longer makes this place worth patronizing. Farewell, Petsense.

Company doesn't care about the animals in their care. The company uses shady business practices and consistently breaks employee handbook protocols. Be aware. The staff is phenomenal. Upper management is garbage.

Andy and her staff are amazing. Always happy and helpful as soon as you walk in the door. You can always find what you need and if they are out they will tell you when it's coming. What a wonderful place for all your pet needs.

Absolutely the worst experience ever with my dog!!! Half shaved to the skin and other parts not really touched and I had to take her back for them to finish the butcher job they did!!! Stay away! Never again!

The staff and service at this store are excellent. I'm also a fan of the huge selection of not only dog and cat care items, but also small animal (Rabbit, Guinea Pig, Hamster), reptile (Snake & Lizard), Beta, and the nice selection for each. The prices are great and the atmosphere is always friendly and helpful. This is definitely one of my favorite stores to shop and browse at. :)

Gracia At pet seems iis so awesome... excellent people skills. One of the best Customer service experiences on not just one occasion but many more. I always look for her. She goes above and beyond. Asset to any establishment. Definitely needs a a promotion. promotion. I being a General Manager for over 30 years would want her for sure. Excellent skills for a young lady would be a great part of a Management team.

I've had a few issues with Petsense, but the experience I'm more concerned with was a mishandling of adoption papers that led to the cat I applied to adopt being adopted to another family. Just a few weeks ago on a Wednesday, I came in and saw a 6 month old kitten. I was interested in adopting and was given adoption papers by the cashier which I filled out and turned in the same day. I was very excited to adopt her, and I was told I'd hear back by Sunday because the manager was out on vacation.I returned to the store each day after to visit the kitten and check on the status of my adoption papers (because I was told that my papers would be e-mailed or texted to the manager and that I could possibly hear back sooner). Sunday, I returned an hour after opening to ask the manager directly about the papers. Ten minutes after I came in and the manager began to review my papers, another family came in and asked the manager about the same kitten I'd applied for. Long story short, the workers of Petsense had an adoption application from that family for the same kitten that they lost, and so they adopted out that kitten to that family. The manager did not tell me this- instead he sent out a cashier to tell me, which I was a little upset with because I would've liked to hear about what happened directly from him since I'd been waiting to hear from him about my papers for days (and because he came to speak to me about the adoption papers and told me they looked good and that he would review the rest and come back to talk to me). Not only that, I could hear the entire conversation between the staff about the mix-up in their office, and they were also communicating with the other family and handing them slips to fill out to complete their adoption, but the staff didn't talk to me for about 10-15 minutes. I was just kind of left sitting next to the kitten anxious about not being able to take her home and wondering about what was going on. When I was finally addressed, the cashier told me that they would be getting new kittens into their store soon and that the manager would call me, but it's been weeks now and I've never gotten a call back from Petsense. I don't know if that's because they haven't gotten new kittens yet or because they forgot to inform me, but if they see this, I am no longer interested in being reached out to.I understand it was an honest mix up, I just think the way that the situation was handled and the way I was addressed wasn't really fair to me who'd came in multiple times to find out about the status of my papers and who spent ~$60 in supplies from Petsense. If something like this were to happen again, I would suggest to Petsense's staff to1) Not speak to customers as if they're guaranteed to be approved and take home the kitten, because I was convinced on that first Wednesday that I would be coming back to pick her up with no issues. The member I was talking to told me she was excited for that kitten to come home with me and that it looked like I loved her a lot, and we had a conversation about me taking her home. As pleasant as that conversation was, because mix-ups like these occur, I would heavily suggest avoiding comments like that until the customer is actually taking home the kitten. It got my hopes up and ended up being very misleading.2) Have the manager address these issues with the customers, especially because he was already in the process of reviewing my papers. He should've finished his conversation with me himself instead of sending someone else out.3) If you're going to address one party, address the other one as well. I had to sit in confusion and watch for 10-15 minutes while the other family was talking to the staff, filling out papers and handing them back and I was just standing alone watching the whole thing.I have no ill will towards Petsense- just want their adoption operations to be a little more refined.

I come in to PetSense about monthly for my 5 pets needs. I really enjoy that you can earn a free bag of food. However, the last few times I have been there (in the month of September 2020) the customer service has been sub par. I am not greeted when I enter, I’m not asked if I need helping finding anything, and when purchasing I am not asked if I am a loyalty member. The worst was just tonight when I purchased over 50lbs of dog food and was not offered help to my vehicle. I am very clearly 6 months pregnant and could have used the help. After my transaction was complete the employee just continued to fill out paperwork without even making eye contact with me.A reminder on good customer service could go a long way.

They're alright, I've gone down to this store on several occasions to buy something specific that they haven't had.It was unfortunate.Sometimes ordering something online and not leaving your house is the better option.

Ask if the groomer has any experience & if they know how to do a "teddy bear" cut around the face. I will never go back there!

1st time there.. So bad Ill never go back... Stan I believe the managers name is needs SERIOUS people skills.. He treated myself and my son very unprofessionally.. was it how we look? we both were in shorts and a tshirt? He was pleasant to others in the store at the time.. I called before hand to make sure it was ok to bring my little (chi) dog it was her bday and we were in search of specialty treats .. she sat in the baby area of the cart. didn't make a sound.. We walked through each isle which seemed to bother him since he went out of his way to watch us ..(we weren't touching items, just looking around) and ask if we needed help (annoyingly tone) a few times.. I said since it was my first time I just wanted to see everything (We have several pets cats, dogs, lizards, fish, turtles.. so on) .. we finally made it to the register area where the individual treats were .. this is where it was apparent our business wasn't wanted.. I asked if he wanted me to keep separate each row/price and he snapped that He has to ring each one so it doesn't matter (there was a lady behind me who was ready to ring up I suggested she go since I was still deciding, he scoffed and rolled his eyes, (I felt SO uncomfortable, My Son was done at this point). I kept apologizing for being in the way.. it was just overall SO bad...(another customer was in line at this time he was very nice to.. talked about lizards since he was an expert and all about lizards.. even got another employee in on the conversation ).. I moved back to the end of the line to pay.. once my turn he made a it seem like I was more work to ring up than he wanted to deal with ..more scoffs and eye rolls.. Just SO bad.. so bad!! I spend about 3000.00 a year on my dogs alone between food, toys, treats and grooming and around 500.00 on my cat.. not enough to keep a company in business... but you treat 10 others like this.. and it will make a difference...

Great store if you have a dog and other popular pets, but their reptile selection is so miniscule. It's very frustrating trying to buy anything for my reptiles that isn't lightbulbs. It is a clean store though.

Possibly the worse customer service ever! We've been trying to get our dog groomed for over a month. Have left many messages, the groomer never returns messages. This has been an on going problem for over a year. The staff either have no training or no supervision.
