We loved our stay in the Woodsman cabin! Relaxing on the front porch in the evening was wonderful. The cabin had everything we needed to make our own meals. The ranch itself is beautiful and we will plan to have a camp fire on their private river beach next time. It was a reasonable drive to the most popular hikes in North Cascade national park and very close to Mt. Baker.

What a gem! We were introduced to this beautiful Inn by a stroke of good fortune…and gosh! We were treated like royalty❤️Homemade chocolate chip cookies on arrival, a rustic cabin that was full of history and antiques, super comfortable beds, gas-lit fireplace, and handmade soaps that made my skin feel like velvet! I can just imagine having a family reunion here! Thank you, Kris, for your genuine hospitality and understanding…helping us to make lemonade from lemons after our attempted stay at another lodge in the area😇

I had a nice experience at Ovenell's. It is tucked away and quiet with its individual cabins, assuming you do not have noisy neighbors. I found it very convenient to have a kitchenette given the lack of restaurant selection nearby but there is a decent grocery store in town. My visit was quiet and the bed was comfortable. They accommodated my late check-in and check-out was a snap. I would definitely consider staying here again if I am in the area.

We stayed in the Cougar Crest cabin, which served us very well. It had nice separation between bedroom suites and a large living area. We used its good kitchen, small charcoal grill, and laundry machines. There is a small playground in the back, a picnic table that seats about 12 and other seating, and a great view of the mountains. There are window air conditioning units that did a fine job during the hot August nights. We walked down to the pasture to see the cows, and to the river nearby. There is no mowed or open sitting area at the river, but that was fine.

Our stay at the cougar crest house was absolutely stunning and comfortable. We were first greeted by Jackie, the white dog who was so sweet and friendly, it was a great welcome considering we got there after 5pm and picked up our house key on the outside of the office since it was closed. The accommodations were just as pictures showed, the kitchen was well stocked with all pots, pans, wine glasses and all essentials for cooking. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of extra towels. The washer and dryer worked well as we had laundry to do, the staff even gives you pods of detergent and dryer sheets which were beyond appreciated! The outside views were just incredible and we enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning and wine at night time just looking at the mountains. Jackie came by nightly and also scratched and whimpered at the door making me (animal lover) feel terrible for not letting her spend the night inside. I was told by the staff that she is indeed NOT allowed in the house but tries to trick you! Funny girl. We loved it here and will no doubt recommend to family and friends.

We stayed just one night through Harvest Host in our 32' Class A, Site #2. First, when we arrived, we were welcomed by one of two, beautiful white Great Pyrenees - so friendly. Then as we checked in, the list of baked goods and fresh cuts of meat we had to choose from was impressive. We bought one of every baked good they had (okay, maybe two of each) - and so delicious this morning with coffee. The Harvest Host sites are very private with beautiful views of snow-capped mountains, Mount Baker (I believe) being one of them. We will be back and we'll be bring friends - Nice get-away! Highly recommend!

We stayed again and everything was so peaceful and beautiful. The gardens, cabins and grounds are well maintained. The view of the mountains is amazing and the hosts are super sweet! If you are looking for a relaxing country experience this is the place. It would be a great place for a family gathering with a large covered area for a BBQ.

Clouds shrouded the base of the mountain and mist hugged the white caps as I entered the farm lane of Ovenell’s Heritage Inn in the North Cascades range of Washington state. The mountains hid just barely as the sun began its brilliant and colorful show of setting. Blues, purples and subtle teals blended stunningly into pinks, oranges and yellows, painting the mountain in a mystical shroud like an artist’s vision.I drove slow, passing by the laying cattle, thinking about how I’m so grateful to be here now. Months of planning and lead up were followed by years of dreaming of the Pacific Northwest and the mountains and old growth forests. Once the excitement eased, a deep peace settled in my heart and chest as I drove on. I eventually came to a cluster of wood cabins and at the end of the row a sign hung on the door labeled “the Fisherman Cabin.”The place was still and all was quiet. A few cars littered the other cabins and an empty playground stared at me, and I thought how much fun it would be to bring my little boy Rowan next time I return to Washington. The Fisherman Cabin offered a studio setting with queen bed, 3/4 bath with shower, kitchenette, and a range of amenities like air conditioner, wifi, TV, propane fireplace, outdoor grill and picnic table, and a lovely covered porch with mountain views.I brought in my luggage and fell onto the bed, as I had been driving seven to eight hours. I meditated awhile before I urged myself to get up. I wandered around the cabin, fiddling around the kitchen, with the AC, and enjoying the tiny home-esque aesthetic. I felt very much at home, and loved every little I turned on a Netflix show and gathered myself, before showering, and making my way back out to experience the natural beauty of the North Cascades.

Fantastic place to stay close to North Cascades NP. We stayed in the Fisherman Cabin and it was cute, cozy and very clean. There are lots of outdoor seating options, places to walk around, quiet views of the nearby mountains and even farm animals to visit. Indoors we had a nice cozy fireplace for heating. Would definitely recommend staying here for getaways with the family.

Beautiful farm with an amazing view! Everyone was very friendly. We visited the farm (Double O Ranch / Ovenell's Farm) during the Festival of Family Farms. As you pull up you have this majestic view of Mount Baker! Then you have the mouth watering smell of them cooking hamburgers! The kids really had a great time. They loved feeding the very sweet and gentle horses. They gave a pretty genuine hayride showing off the very huge and stunning farm! Wow! We did purchase some of their meats and looking forward to trying them out.

Nothing fancy here but it is has a whole lot of rustic charm. This is a family owned cabin complex so cabins are not secluded but our stay was very quite. Staff is friendly, there is playground equipment for small children, kitchen utensils fully stocked. We rented Bear Hollow and The Woodsman to accommodate our group of 11. Bear hollow has a nice view from the huge back porch. Woodsman is very small but is a real log cabin, dog friendly, and very charming. There is a central fire pit for all cabins that we used. Jackie greeted us on arrival and laid on our front porch most of our stay (she was a sweet and loving dog that Ovenell's adopted). We loved our stay and would return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Woodsman cabin at Ovenell's Heritage Inn! It's clear the family takes great pride in their business and property as the grounds were impeccably well kept and beautiful. We never grew tired of seeing the incredible view of Mount Baker as you turn onto the gravel road that leads to the cabins and guest homes. While the Woodman cabin was small, the space suited my spouse and I just fine and it's rustic charm and coziness were undeniable! The cabin was also super clean and well cared for. We appreciated the daily turn-down service which included trash removal and new towels and bathroom items being left for us. The wifi and direct TV worked well, the bed was comfortable, and we had no issues taking slightly long, back-to-back hot showers after our long days on the trail. Good value, great cabin, great stay!

This place was spectacular! The perfect getaway from the busy city life into the quiet scenic farms. We stayed at the bear hollow guest house and it was an amazing experience! We traveled with a toddler and they had so many toys and books for kids. The staff were so kind and Ms.Elanor the owner of the place is a lovely lady who makes great conversation. Highly recommend and will return if I ever get a chance!

I would highly recommend Ovenell's. We stayed in the Fisherman cabin. Oh my gosh, so nice, clean and cozy. Fully equipped with everything you need including a BBQ. Cute deck. We were so surprised at how everything you need is right there. You just need to bring food and you're set. The grounds are beautiful, playground for kids as well. It is somewhere we will for sure visit again. The bed was a little to soft and a dog at check in was a little cranky but that would be my only complaint.

Comfortable and well furnished cabin in a beautiful setting and good location. Less than 5 minutes drive to a couple of local small grocery stores and restaurants. About 20 minutes to baker dam and lake trail. The cabin (Woodsman) was cozy with a wood burning fire place and a sofa bed in the living area that was comfortable for 2 adults. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, cutleries, stovetop, microwave, small baking oven and fridge. Plenty of birds and wildlife just steps away from the cabin and inside the property. Very good and prompt communication by the property manager. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Stranded in the mountain due to car problem, we got here purely by accident. But the experience of staying here one night was surprisingly the best part of our travel. Not to mention the beautiful cabin and surroundings, the staff are the best! They provided us comfort when we were so stressed, and food supply when we were hungry and tired, and chauffeured us to where we needed to go. "There are still good people out there ..." very heartwarming when looking back. Simply 5-star!

We booked this last minute for the night before a camping trip into the Cascades. Everything about it was perfect. It's off the main road, quiet, and a beautiful view of the stars. Eleanor was a terrific host who truly made us feel at home. She offered dinner suggestions, and had two pieces of cake waiting for us when we returned. The view and the peacefulness from the back porch was enchanting. We stayed in the guesthouse but look forward to returning to rent one of the cabins.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ovenell’s, in the Wrangler Cabin. Gorgeous views around the farm and a cozy cabin. We really loved the animals, especially Jackie the dog, who followed us back to our cabin and hung out on the porch with us. We hope to stay here again in the future!

My wife and I needed a place to crash for a float river trip the next morning. Stayed in the woodsman. Very nice place. Well kept and clean. People are awesome and truly inviting. Over the phone (credit card reservation) we were encouraged to come early and enjoy the ranch and river. I'm glad I made that choice. The check in girl was a sweetheart and made us feel right at home. (Wished I would have gotten some of that homemade jam I was thinking about when we checked it.) The cabins are way back off the road and the walk down to the river was private and serene. You can appreciate the real power of the river here and rock hounded on one of the gravel bars. If you like to hike the entire property has a circuit to follow but it was pouring rain so we cut it short to hang out in the cabin. I can't recommend enough the read on the history of the ranch. I found it fascinating that the main house had been moved 3 times. I would have enjoyed seeing markers for the original locations so I could have envisioned it while I was standing there. Nice secluded place for anybody that really wants to get away from it all.

Our accommodations were really great. We were out away from noise and enjoyed the beauty of the mornings with black tail deer approaching our cabin. Everything you'd need was in the cabin along with the kitchen which gave us the chance to cook dinner. I enjoy the best steak ever that came from Ovenell's..farm.Our cabin was perfect for the size, having two separate bedrooms with each having it's own bathroom. and a living-room and kitchen between them. The place was spotless with waste removed daily. The beauty of the North Cascade Mountains is right at your finger tips.

What an absolutely fantastic place! You rent rooms in "cabins" which are just like rental homes. Each room is privately locked. The cabins are completely furnished to include laundry supplies, cleaning supplies and fully stocked kitchens! Beautiful views, friendly livestock, absolutely wonderful staff! Very family friendly! They sell local jams and their own organic grass fed beef. Can't love this place more!

We stayed one night in the Foreman Cabin and enjoyed our mini getaway. The inn is located about 10 minutes from the town's main center where restaurants are located and about 45 minutes from the North Cascades NP and 15 minutes from Rockport State Park. The cutest little location to stay the night and close to day-hiking locations. The check-in was easy and the cabin had everything we needed. Would love to come back in the summer.

Great place to harvest host. They had meats, pies, cookies, and produce. The dogs were friendly. There are horses, chickens, turkey, goats and cattle you can pet through the faces. They have an inn and cabins to rent, access to the river and black berry bushes you can pick as you walk the trails

Absolutely the very best of the best. Love these folks. A true paradise in a modern world gone mad with feelings over logic and facts. It is pure bliss being here and my family never want to leave. If we could buy a little plot and build our own cabin here we would in a heartbeat. However, if we could so could everyone else and it would destroy how special this little slice of heaven truly is. Thank you guys.-M. C.-G.

We are new Harvest Host members and had an incredible RV experience at Ovendell. If a totally private retreat into nature is your thing, then give this place a try. Our spot was just a quick walk from the Skagit River. There are abundant walking areas and we also enjoyed being accompanied by the resident dog, Jackie, who ended up sleeping under our RV!
