Can't say enough about this place. Huge hearts here. The groomer was super accommodating on a walk-in basis, and was able to groom my difficult biter of a dog in record time. I didn't expect such great grooming and great service on a walk-in basis,so I'm very very happy.

I only visited briefly, but In my time here I took a look at the reptiles. I personally feel as though the enclosures, mostly for the snakes, weren’t set up very well. They had the bare minimum and the snakes didn’t have any form of enrichment. One of the snakes I saw had a crumpled up mat, one hide and a water bowl, which is what pretty much all of them had (no substrate). Aside from that, they had a fairly small and overpriced reptile section and everything was dusty. Didn’t feel very inclined to stay long.(Edit): Added a photo below of one of the snakes I saw. As you can see there’s only one hide and a water bowl clumped together. Didn’t even look that clean.

The owners are awesome. Their tortoise Rajah is legendary in the area and cruises around the sidewalk on a regular basis. They also support the local community and are generous in giving their time to any kid who wants to visit with the animals in the shop.

Such a great place. Always nice and helpful people too. I must admit though, it is really difficult to stay away from the rescue kitties when then have them there. The pet grooming place they have on site is also excellent!

I love this pet store, the owner is genuine and always personal and professional. She always makes sure you get what you are looking for, and will go out of her way to help. She loves her animals and cares for her costumers. I have 2 bearded dragons and 2 leopard gecko s. I'm sure the community is glad she is here.

This is one of my top pet stores to go to on the rock :) Debbie and her family are amazing. If you are looking for something specific and she doesn't have it in stock she will go above and beyond to get you what you need for your pets. Don't forget to stop in and visit the turtle <3

This place is great! It's more like a huge animal rescue for reptiles, birds, and small furry animals. Quite a huge undertaking but awesome that Debbie and crew can take in animals in need, get them vet care and TLC, and then rehomed to loving homes. And that they're on Whidbey Island is so cool!

Shop owner is very friendly and helpful to the community, most of the animals are friendly and the staff is always willing to help. Stocks most of your pet needs and if not, owner is willing to order most items for her customers. A friendly atmosphere and even if you arent looking to buy anything, a great way to past time and meet new animals.

Debbie is a wonderful person who runs this great pet shop where she also rescues animals that she observes, and makes sure they are healthy before letting folks take animals home. We got an African grey parrot, and a goffins cockatoo in past weeks that are a great addition to our home!

DO NOT RECOMMEND BOARDING WITH THEM. I have two pet snakes I could not care for while deployed, so I contacted Critter’s and Co. to talk about boarding. She gave me every reason to trust her and had me write detailed instructions for their care including temperatures needed, and list all the items I brought with me. Total waste of time. I texted her, asking for pictures every month,(mentioned I would do that when dropping them off, which she agreed to) she sent them once and ignored me until I sent my wife in to take a look at them 3 months later. The snakes were clearly stressed from being too cold and overfed. This can kill a snake. Tanks were incredibly dirty and full of feces, water dishes obviously neglected. I asked if she could add a third heat lamp to one snakes tank, she said she had plenty of spares and would put one on. My wife stopped by a few days later to see if the extra heat lamp got put on or if the tanks were cleaned. Neither were done. I became pretty confident they were going to die if I didn’t get them back home. My wife wouldn’t be able to move the tanks I provided on her own, and I wasn’t supposed to get back until the winter, so I had to spend $1500 on new tanks that could be assembled at home, and had my wife pick the snakes up to avoid them dying in Critter and Co.’s care. When my wife picked up the snakes, both were incredibly cold and one refused to unravel from a ball which is very unlike her(not a ball python either). I brought three heat lamps total, two for one tank, one for the other, and when they were picked up only two lamps came back. They weren't being misted(also mentioned in the care sheet) and the snakes pretty much lived in their water dishes for a week after coming back home because they were so dry and stressed. Lesson learned, won't be going back for anything.

This is a great pet store. Good place to get items you may need or they would order them for you. Also a fun quick trip just to check out the different pets they have. You can hold some of them too!!Also great to ask qu3you may have about your pets.
