Haven't been in there in several weeks and it was great to see that they are again selling firearms and not just ammunition. My go to place for buying workwear clothes/boots. Great selection of brands all around. Dangerous place to go to sometimes as I spend way too much money everytime I go. It's a one stop shop for sporting goods and outerwear. If your looking for something other stores just don't carry or have much selection to choose from, try here first!

Surprised me in the expansion. Tons of clothes now. Way more than sunbirds had. Still has all canning,gardening stuff. Huge selection of work boots etc at good prices. Hunting and fishing section good improvement too local area tackle unlike bass pro and cabelas.

Prices are a little high. Nice selection of items. They usually have a vegetable plant sale in the spring sometime. On the last I was there, I asked when they were going to have it. The response I got was " I have no idea" not, " let me find out for you" . That's ok. There's lots other places I can go to from now on. That " shop local" isn't worth it .

Prices and selection are great for men an woman alike. This place is one of my top 5 stores it's a virtual playground for an outdoorsman. We have a similar store in Longview where we live and I drive 30 minutes out of town because the prices are so much better and the shelves are always fully stocked.

Went in to see they have completely rearranged the store! It's huge now! Lots more clothes and shoes, camping stuff, cast iron cookware, firearms, pretty much everything for your rugged, outdoorsy, and gardening needs.

Always loved Sunbirds, & under new ownership & a new name, Chehalis Outfitters remains the same store it's always been. It's so refreshing they kept things as good as they were, & may have even made it a little better. They will continue to have my business, even though I live in Lacey. It's worth the trip!

Complete lines of name brand work boots, rubber boots, Romeo slippers, work clothes,including caps & coats.They carry yard implements, canning supplies & Hunting & Fishing License. They're helpful friendly & the store is clean.

This place has a great selection but the staff are really rude and unhelpful. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. From the look of other reviews, poor customer service seems to be the standard of this business.

We have shopped here a few times over the course of a year, my boyfriend had spent well over five hundred dollars here. Tonight my boyfriend, his brother and I were in the store looking around and we spent maybe forty-five minutes to an hour walking around looking at things, we split up and kept having to find each other (hence why we kept walking around so much) and right as my boyfriend was calling his brother we had two employees come up to us and tell us we need to leave. “Hey buddy we need you to leave. And your buddy you had with you, we watched him walk out and walk back in, is he with you?”- Male employee “No we were calling him to try and find him just now.”- My boyfriend “He’s in shoes”- Female employee. We tell his brother we have to leave and we’re getting kicked out, so we walk out the front door, and we ask the male employee why we’re getting kicked out (it’s 4:36, the store closes later) “You’re just not welcome back.”- Male employee. They wouldn’t give us a reason, and we didn’t have any bags or purses, I was wearing a sweatshirt with a pocket on the front and leggings, my boyfriend and his brother were wearing Baja pullovers with a pocket in the front and pants. We didn’t steal anything, we didn’t even look like we were stealing anything. We all three tried on beanies, and I was going to come back and buy one for my boyfriends upcoming birthday. We’re not theieves and we have never tried to steal ANYTHING before. They judged us and they should be ashamed about it. If there was a problem with trying on beanies they could’ve spoken to us. Multiple employees throughout the entire store asked us if we needed help finding anything and now we’re not allowed to return or they’ll call the cops on us. 0/5 stars. Overpriced and rude anyway. Spend your money at better places 🤢🙅🏻‍♀️

I would give the 5 stars if they offered a military/veteran discount. Doesn't have to be much but that you offer one. Then I know where I would prefer to spend my money. Can get most of the stuff online so entice me to come to your place and maybe buy other items when I'm there.

Ever since this place became chehalis outfitters, everything is overpriced and everyone that works there just stares at you waiting for you to steal. But the major thing is I was in there looking at the new binoculars from sig sauer. You could get the same pair of binoculars for almost $300 cheaper at sportsman’s warehouse. Granted shopping local is better but not for that much extra money. There’s so many odd ball items so overpriced, especially at the new gun counter. The new owners have made it so hard to shop local and go to what was once sunbirds which wasn’t a perfect store either but not as bad as what it is now.I’m adding/editing my review because today I was in there (12/19/23) and there was an older gentleman talking about recent gun law changes with the guy behind the gun counter. I was browsing and listen to their conversation and maybe the older gentleman wasn’t completely up to date with his gun laws but instead of the chehalis outfitters employee educating the old man he decided to speak to him with complete disrespect and a very rude tone. Instead of putting people down and getting mad at them, instead educate them and show them the laws. Don’t just tell the person how they are wrong and don’t know anything. I was so furious that he disrespected that older man like that. I wanted to drop my stuff I had my handful with on the floor and leave. Completely disrespectful.

The only reason I am even giving one star is because I have to. I purchased a pair of boots on the 20th which was nine days ago. I wore the boots in my driveway and that’s it. They were so uncomfortable I knew I wasn’t going to keep them so I put them in the box and went to return them first lady I spoke with advised me that she cannot take them back because they were worn. I asked to speak with someone else. The second lady came told me the same thing. I asked to speak with someone else. She said she is the shoe manager. I asked to speak with her boss and walks in Linda. I explain to her what happened she looked at the second girl and asked her what did you tell her she stated I told her we don’t take them back after they’ve been worn I stated I paid $185 for a pair of boots that I wore one time for maybe at the most 10 minutes she was so rude and said well that’s our policy you’re going to have to contact the manufacturer I said OK who else can I talk to? She said there is no one else I’m as high as you go. I told her that I understood there’s policies, but I also understand that things can be bent and because I paid $185 for a pair of boots that I wore for 10 minutes and they were so uncomfortable. She should take them back and send them back to the manufacture, she wouldn’t budge. I will be contacting the owner of the store as well as the manufacturer. I will not go back in to the store ever again do not shop at the store. Their customer service is awful. Linda was about as pleasant as a rock laying on the ground.

Was looking for Scott's Fish Brine & called & found out you sell itWent there today and no one could find it in Sporting Goods. Took about 25 mins for them to figure out it was in the grilling/BBQ sectionAssociate was extremely helpful, patient & nice. Bought 6 of them! Would have been good to know where they are kept!

I was trying on a pair of shoes. I decided to take a little stroll a few aisles away to make sure they fit correctly. As I was walking back toward the shoe area I was yelled at by an employee who told me I had to stay in the shoe section while trying on shoes, and loss prevention had been watching me on the camera. I had left my shoes there, but also I was walking toward the back of the store not the entrance. I get that shoplifting these days is a big problem at many stores, but come on. After I put them back in the box I was free to continue walking around the store with them so why treat someone like a criminal until proven innocent? That being said there were a couple of other nice employees who were very helpful.

I will never go to this place again with our an attorney.. I was asked why I was in the men’s bathroom when I was coming out.. I said none of their business because it’s embarrassing for my friend and they told me i can’t come back. I was helping a handicap friend get pants unbuttoned and buttoned and I waited til the bathroom was clear of people before entering. So hurtful.

I used to love Sunbirds and have been totally disappointed since new ownership. It's like pulling teeth to get a smile from someone who works there and twice now the workers have been borderline rude and unfriendly. I feel like a nuisance instead of a valued customer. I want to support local so I'll give them a couple more chances to get their act together, but I can always buy any of this online without rude customer service. Disappointed.
