We visited this place to get some baby chicks. Julio kindly helped us to choose chicks and supplies while educating me with good pieces of advice. We got 4 chicks and they are all healthy and my family is happy to take care of them.

Family run, almost 100 years old! They are reorganizing, so pardon the disorder right now. But always a friendly smile. Their special chicken scratch mix is a treat for our egg producers.

Cute little store, with baby chicks!! Friendly dog and cheerful staff. I wish I had a better reason to shop here, but I mostly just enjoy the atmosphere (and the chicks). Always purchase some special treats for my dog when I go in, better prices than the chain pet stores.

Hayes has been my sole source for chicks, feed, bedding, and other supplies since I started keeping chickens and rabbits 5 years ago. The employees are friendly and helpful - the owner once kept the store open 30 minutes after closing so I could pickup some medication when my chicken fell ill! This spring they allowed me to special order a variety of chicks so I got to have the flock of my dreams.The only downside is their lunchtime closing. Sometimes it's most convenient for me to stop by midday, so the lunch closure is a bummer.

This is a great place to buy feed and has great customer service. They always help me load the big bag of feed in the trunk of the car. If you are lucky and they have chicks for sale, you can check them out, too! They are so cute.

I mostly shop for organic grain and chicken feed. If that's your preference then I think you should call ahead to make sure they have it, i noticed they didn't have it when I went there. They were very helpful otherwise, and easy access to loading whatever you need just around the back. So in general the convenience of their location the ease of loading and his staff is excellent, so just call ahead for specialty orders.

Hayes Feed & Country Store in Burien is so way cool this store has been here along time . The staff is awesome . There's plenty of parking . I love this store . There's lots of stuff for you pets here . What a sweet place .

This is an old-fashioned animal feed store. They have food and bedding suitable for farm animals as well as cats and dogs. It is popular with city folks who raise chickens, pigs or rabbits as the prices are quite reasonable and the location convenient.

Hayes feed store has been a staple in the Burien area on 152nd for decades, originally Kirk's feed store...the early 1990's brought a fear of it being lost to rapid growth of our quiet little City of Burien, it was a true Joy to see the life of this historical building continue to pulse. The owners are amazing and very kind, the staff is super helpful, they truly hold the feeling of a family run feed store, you'll find a little bit of everything, from small animal equipment, necessities, feed and bedding. Anything you may need for your chickens to thrive, feed for a variety of livestock, sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, pigs, horses, and more, they carry supplements, vaccinations and basic antibiotic feed for your baby chicks which they have seasonally as well, a variety of medications, flea control, abrasion and wound care supplies, As well as you're domesticated furbabies supplies are covered here, dogs, cats, bunny rabbits, guinea pigs... they also have a variety of supplies for caring for your garden, Pest, rodent control, gopher and mole traps, the list could go on and on! And before I forget you're also able to pick up a beautifully handcrafted rabbit hutch, small chicken nesting hutches, as well as standard galvanized hutches. There's even a section with really neat antiques and collectibles. So if you're in the Burien area and you're looking for a feed store with a little bit of everything a whole lot of vintage Beauty and charm, a warm and friendly owner and kind helpful staff you're in the right place!!!

Call ahead for bulk feed -- they can get whatever you need but don't keep much on hand. I wanted 50 - 100 lbs of any grain and it was a specialty order. Otherwise helpful and friendly.

I don't like these owners. They don't seem to understand farming. I really wish it was like the old Kirk's feed. It is not. I still needed a local feed store and have found Urban Birds'n'Bees, a much better local choice

A stray dog found his way to our home early this afternoon. We stopped by the "Cares Center" of Burien to register information about him in order to find his rightful home. We were't sure how long we would have him so we stopped by Hayes Feed & Country. I told an employee that I needed food for the stray. The employee proceeded to fill a bag full of "samples". I offered to pay and he would accept no payment. Our temporary friend was soon reunited with his master later in the evening.I will hopefully soon have a canine companion of my own and this is where I will purchase all of it's needs. Located in Old Burien Hayes feed store has been apart of our town for well over 50 years originally owned by mr. Kirk it's been family owned and operated ever since, pretty decent variety of livestock feeds as well as domestic animal feed this feed store has a wonderful family feel with lots of original fixtures and antiques to make it a wonderful place to check out and for all the Chicken Lovers this is a great place to find stuff to make your Coupe The Talk of the Town and to keep your chickens smiling and making eggs for years to come

A little bit of country right in the middle of of urban King County. All sorts of animal feed, lots of farm related necessities including clothing, boots, some tools. Even the Trump-loving guy who loaded my straw and was dismayed at my liberal leaning bumper stickers.
